"Was that seriously Cadirade's Siren?"

"I guess the royal family is already hitting hard times."

"It's so early into the war and already a royal family member has fallen."

"I wonder who it was?"

"Probably that crown prince!"

"I doubt it was the crown prince with that beast I heard he's been traveling with!'

The conversation of all the locals around were solely on the royal family and the downfall of one of it's family members. There was no word on who was assassinated yet, but Daryl had a feeling he could take a guess who had fallen. If it was the king the news wouldn't be thrown around so quickly so he could easily assume it wasn't him. Then there was the crown prince who traveled with Vorbuk which instantly could be assumed as not possible.

"The only way that idiot is dead is if that wolf ditched him! Not to mention he's experienced like us adventurers." Daryl spoke out loud.

Many people turned to glare at him as if they didn't think the prince could handle being in the outside world so easily. Daryl was not like the rest of them though and could easily see the potential behind the prince. If it wasn't for the fact he was a royal family member he could have had one hell of a history in the adventurer's life style. Daryl knew that being a royal member his way of seeing things could easily be limited, but with the passion in the prince for the life style if he hadn't been raised in the palace he could imagine the prince having been a great adventurer.

Given the prince just lost a family member he is probably chasing the fire right into the palace! Daryl sighed at the thought of the prince dragging the wolf straight into the palace right after the assassination. The thought of him going there right after something like that happened would be like running into a burning building if he wasn't careful about it. Then there was the wolf who would get dragged into the situation as well.

"They both might get themselves killed if he acts rashly." He said to himself as he debated about the situation.

Daryl still hadn't caught up with his old adventuring group yet and he couldn't help but think to himself about how he could easily guess the direction the prince would be going. There was also the fact that he knew the destination itself of the prince. The only thing he couldn't decide was if he should help the prince or not.

He was very loyal to his kingdom, but he had a limit to his tolerance of the crown prince, Leo. His face scrunched up as his body went slightly limp so that he could plant his face against the table where he was sitting with his beer.

He had always been known to rush into danger to help the innocent. Prince Leo was an innocent man and was surely getting ready to rush into a bad situation with no idea what he could be easily running into. If Daryl didn't make an attempt to help the prince he felt like he could easily feel himself boiling with guilt for a long time if not to his very grave over the idea of letting things be.

"If I do this... I guess I do know a couple people who I could easily push into helping."

"What the hell are you griping about now, Daryl?"

A heavy pressure suddenly weighed down the air behind Daryl causing him to shudder to his core for a moment before he heaved a sigh.

"Hey, Bredret! You know you want to join me in helping crown prince, Leo, right?" Daryl smiled wryly as he watched the man sit down beside him.

The aura exerted by the man who sat down beside him was heavy and thick. If one wasn't careful they could almost suffocate from the air the man released. The man had short black hair and a pair of bright gold eyes that could almost cause one to feel like they were getting stabbed straight into their soul if they weren't careful and glanced at them. His clothes were blood red and lined with gold thread into it's design.

"You know I don't get involved in your kinds mortal conflicts! Celeste is the only mortal I get involved in things for when it comes to your kind." Bredret's voice was heavy like thunder.

"Oh, so shall I just ask her?" He pointed to a faint light that glittered and floated around Bredret's shoulders.

A soft giggling tone resounded from inside the light as it softly landed on Bredret's lap and a woman's ghost appeared. Her slender form was smiling brightly as she gazed happily at Bredret's eyes and swung her arms to wrap around his neck. Celeste was a spirit that had long since died from her human body, but in spirit she had forced her own soul to lock onto Bredret so that as long as he was alive she would forever be by his side. She held no desire to rest in the afterlife until the day when her beloved would be there to join her in it.

"Celeste, you know my kind do not involve ourselves in mortal conflict!" Bredret huffed heavily causing dust to fly up into the air from the table below where he sat by Daryl. The dust in the air caused Daryl to laugh and cough for a moment. It was true what they say when a dragon held power that could topple and entire kingdom if they desired to do so single handed.

The ghost gave a cute pout face at Bredret as she held desire herself to help Cadirade. Celeste was once a princess herself from an allied kingdom of Cadirade and held no desire to see something she once cared deeply for in life crumble before her very eyes in death. The sight of Celeste pouting on his lap caused Bredret to grit his teeth as a rumbling growl escaped his throat. He might be in his simple human form among the mortals, but the rumbling still resounded through the room like a thunderstorm. It caused some of the people in the room to glance around for a second thinking a storm was brewing.

"Well, Daryl. I guess today is the crown prince's lucky day. Celeste just gained you idiot's a dragon."

"A short tempered one! Poor Ethiadan!" Daryl chuckled and sipped his beer.

"So do I get to have some fun this time, my dear, Celeste?" Bredret dazed into the eyes of the beautiful ghost girl on his lap.

"Nothing good happens when you have fun, Bredret!" Daryl sighed and shook his head.

"What do you mean?" He scoffed at Daryl.

"People die when you have fun." Daryl glared at him from the corner of his eye.

"Let's go." The dragon smiled.
