Gulping down my saliva I wanted to say that it was just a joke but from seeing their faces being so blunt as if they already knew the truth I know I couldn't hide it anymore and so I sighed and nodded

"Seriously? I thought you would say it was just a joke" Geum Beok-seo said

Anyway I already said the truth so fuck

Hearing this Jeong Ji-ho said "Then why don't you go as a strategist?"

That's because it will caught more attention!

Going back inside my dorm I sat on my bed and stared at the paper sheet intently as I sighed and muttered "What am I gonna do now?"

Suddenly I heard Cronus speak

Hearing this I fell silent, ofcourse I want to be a strategist but…

Suddenly a figure flashed in my memory and I unconsciously laughed bitterly

I remembered that if my only friend was still here he would've said 'fuck your stupid dream, just do whatever you want to be!'

After recalling that I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes.

Minutes passed and finally I opened my eyes as I took a pen and the paper sheet before taking a deep breath as I muttered "Alright, here we go"

"The course that I will be choosing is--"'

Academy President's Office

The instructor handed over all the pile of paper and put them on the desk as the academy's president looked at them and sighed as he said "Looks like we'll have a lot of work again"

The instructor could only nod solemnly as he looked through the paper sheets of the course

While looking through the papers the president said "Looks like a lot of students chose the swordsman course this year, as expected. Even your top best student Choi Kwan and Jeong Ji-ho chose swordsman"

The instructor nodded and said "Yes Mr. President"

Suddenly while looking at the files the president widened his eyes before he started laughing

The instructor was startled and asked "W- What's the matter sir?"

Laughing the president said "A month ago he just wanted to quit the school but now he chose the most valuable course as his course? Bwahahahaha"

Hearing this the instructor was confused but when the president handed over the sheet of paper and saw which student chose 'that' course he was also greatly surprised

The president suddenly stood up and walked towards the window as he said "It won't be an easy path for him that's for sure"

"Student Kim Han-wool"

"So you did chose Strategist in the end!"

Lee Mi-Nyeo exclaimed which caught the attention of the other students and I covered her mouth as I said "Be quiet!"

Lee Mi-Nyeo frowned and shook off my hand from her mouth as she said "Geez alright no need to cover my mouth"

Choi Kwan smiled and said "Congrats Hyung, I knew your future will be great"

Future my ass I know I just made it harder for my dream to come true thanks to this

Just as we were talking we finally arrived at the Strategist room and we were…dumbfounded?

The room looked much more simpler outside so it was quite shocking knowing how valuable a strategist is

Choi Kwan broke the silence and coughed before patting my shoulder and said "Well, good luck hyung, I hope you make it to the top 100 to pass the strategist course"

I nodded and said with a forced smile "Yeah…thanks…"

After saying that they left and I took a deep breath before entering the room

That's when--

I was met with people that all looked noble and smart!

What the heck is with their aura! It's so shiny!

Seeing me arrived they first glanced at me from head to bottom but as if seeing that I was no threat they ignored me

But I don't care this is actually what I wanted to happen

Choosing a seat I chose the last empty on the very back and near the window

As I placed my things the door suddenly burst opened with a loud 'Boom'!

All of us were startled and looked at the door and saw a funny looking boy that has his stuff scattered on the ground

"Ah-! Ah-! S- Sorry everyone! I didn't mean to!"

Seeing the person like this some snorted coldly at him while some ignored him

I also ignored him and took this time to take a nap

But after minutes later I suddenly heard the familiar voice and opened one of my eye to see that same boy asking if he could take the seat with me

I smiled and said "No."

In the end we still shared the same seat

Just as I was cussing inwardly the instructor for this room's course finally arrived and the whole room fell into silence

The instructor had a terrifying cold aura that looked all black and his face was very mature but it can still be tell that he is at the same age as us!

The Instructor had a green hair and green irises with sharp pointy ears

It's an elf! And I know only one elf that has such a cold aura that is different from the other elves!

That's Evander!

Feeling worked up in my heart I sat up straight and waited for him to speak

Evander first examined the room before he nodded and said "Good morning, today I will be the instructor of this class, Evander Forest"

Hearing his name everyone in the room gasped as they gossiped about his contributions

I rolled my eyes secretly at them

"Wow, so he's Evander Forest, the greatest strategist ever…" The boy beside me who he said his name was Oh Hyun Ki whispered underneath his nose

I nodded my head and crossed my arms as I listened silently

Evander then said "Well then, I'll cut to the chase, all of you probably already know that only the top 100 can pass this exam so you better make it to the top 50 to make sure that you pass"

Hearing this I smirked, if you listen carefully here you'll find the hidden meanings behind his words

The truth is only 50 of us can make it to be a strategist is what he is saying

That's why if I want to be an average person I'll have to make sure that I get top 25

With that in mind I listened more to his words as he continued "Well then" flicking his finger a paper appeared before everyone and he said "The test shall begin now, the time limit is 1 hour, good luck everyone"

After hearing him say that almost half of us immediately started answering including me

Oh Hyun Ki was startled and murmured "I don't think I can make it…"

Just as he was losing hope I suddenly spoke and said "You'll make it"

Oh Hyun Ki flinched an stared at me with bewildered eyes

I smiled at him and said "You'll definitely pass it, I believe in you"

Ofcourse, It's not because I believe in you but because--

Oh Hyun Ki who will be a future strategist and will be by Choi Kwan's side

There's no doubt that he is that person, that's why--

With a smile I thought '--I'll need him'

While answering I noticed that the questions seemed more easier than I thought it would be

But somehow--

"Ahhh! This is hard!""This is tougher than it looks like!"

People started complaining and I was silent

I glanced at Oh Hyun Ki and saw that even he was doing it much more easier

But now I have a problem

There are only three questions here and If I get them all right there's no guarantee that I'll make it to the top ten but if I fail even a single one of them the chance of being in the top 50 will be even lower

They're testing us, testing if we could have a great theory about the upcoming war between humans and demons

Seeing through their intention I snorted coldly and decided that I will show them what I'm made of

After answering the first two questions I stopped at the third question

The humans and demons decided to make a truce for ten days but ended up having a greater war in the next ten years as the humans begun to struggle the demons became even more powerful. Why?]

Reading this question I thought about it and there's many possibilities why the war has gotten worse

But ofcourse I already know the answer to this

But I'll not write the whole theory, I'll only cut it just to tease the upper heads heh

Suddenly my hobby from the past of teasing my enemies in the chess appeared again and I unconsciously wrote down half of the write answer to it

It's a gamble whether they'll pass me or not but what's sure is--

Smiling evily I thought 'They would come and find me for more answers, afterall not even them know the truth why this question which really happened in reality happened and what went wrong'

Ofcourse most would think that it's the demons fault and that they broke the truce but what they do not know is--

The War Strategist from the military looked at the answer in the paper sheet and couldn't believe it

One of them raised their hands as they said "I suggest we fail this person immediately!"

"No! Don't you see! I think this person is right!"

"How could you say this person is right when he thinks that the one that started the war and broke the truce is the human side?!"

"Enough!"

Suddenly with a slam on the table everyone fell into silence

Evander with a frown sighed and said "I, for one, also agree that this might be the true answer we've been searching for"

"It was well explained for the reason why the human would break the truce, but…" Narrowing his eyes Evander said "Don't you think that the answer of this person is incomplete and seemed to be missing some parts?"

Hearing this everyone was surprised and immediately checked the paper sheet again and was stunned

'It is! It is incomplete! It's as if it was set up to be like this!"

"Just who is this person? And you're saying that this person is just a student from the Theos Academy?"

"This person is not the only one who had such an idea although the other two had a different theory on why the humans missed something they were still on point that it's within the humans fault"

After some more discussions Evander finally decided and said "Bring these three people here tomorrow, I want to meet them personally"

Inside the Strategist course room I sat while Oh Hyun Ki chit chatted with me about how nervous he is and all and I listened patiently not because I want to but because I'm like this even in the past life, I always listened to everything

Just as he was talking the door suddenly opened and a person in black military uniform appeared as he said "Calling out these three names, Kang Min-jun, Oh Hyun Ki, and Kim Han-wool, please follow me"

Hearing this Oh Hyun Ki gulped while my lips curled up into a smile as I thought 'Bingo'
