Scars

Kessiana's pov

My hands and legs are tied I feel weak .My eyes roam the room I'm in, its dark dirty and smells of alcohol. Where am I?

I see blood dripping from my upper right arm. When and how did this happen.

" You're finally awake" I look up at the sound of a female voice.

"What do you want from me Carrie?" I hear myself say. How do I know her name. My voice weak and croacky.

"Oohh a lot of things and you know it, but you're being a bitch and not giving in to me" she says as she walks up towards me and lands a slap on my face .

"You know if you had agreed with me, we wouldn't need to tread this path" she says while bringing out a pen knife . She digs it into my bleeding arm , the pain kicks in as blood starts coming out from the cut. She pulls it out and runs it on my skin she looks at me and I know she wants to dig it in again.

" Stop please" I beg "STOP"

"Stop!!" I wake up sweat dripping down my face. I'm in my room, I look down at my arm and look at the two scars on my upper arm.

I was told I got them during the accident. I can't remember the accident. I feel like I know her but where and how.

I get up from the bed and pour myself a glass of water from the jug on my bedside table and take a drink.

Holding the glass of water in my hand I walk to my mom's room I knock but no answer.

I open the door and walk in, her bed is made and looked untouched.

This means she didn't come home last night.

I don't want to bother her with my nightmares. She has lot to worry about in the hospital.

I walk back into my room and I take my phone and check the time. Its 10 am, I remember Amelia telling me she would be at my place by 1.

I take off my shorts and white tank top and put on my flip flops.

I walk into my bathroom,brush my teeth and take my bath.I stay longer under the shower. The water cooling and calming my body.

I towel dry my body put on underwear and dried my hair. I

take a pair of black jean trouser and a grey tank top , pull my hair into a pony tail ,put on lip gloss and my black converse.

I grab my phone and black jacket and head downstairs. I go to the kitchen and took out the milk and poured it into a plate.

I made myself a plate of cornflakes walked into the living room and turned on the tv Daybreak was on.

I love that series.

I feel my phone vibrate signalling that I have a new message. I check and see the message is from Amelia.

Amelia♡: hey kess, I'm on my way hope ure dressed already I don't want to have to pull u into the bathroom for a shower. See you in minutes...

I laugh as i remember when I and Ami had plans for a girls hangout,I had told her I was ready but I was just too tired to get up , when she got here I was still in my pyjamas.

just as I stand up to go to the kitchen to wash my plate, the door bell rings. That was fast

I drop my plate and walk to the door ."Hey Ami that was...." I say expecting to see Ami at the door but I see Aaron instead. "What are you doing here?"

"Im here to pick you up"he said smiling one that would have made me drool well I'm still kind of drooling but i dont show it and he walks in.

"Nice place."he says. What?" I say confused "I said you've got a nice place" he says looking around

" Thanks but that's not what I was talking about I'm supposed to go to the mall with Amelia" I said

I know I should be freaking out Aaron freaking Smith is in my house but I still don't get why he's here.

"She didn't tell you?" He asks

"Who and what is this thing I'm supposed to know about that I don't know" I say walking to meet him.

"Amelia, she was supposed to tell you I would be picking you up , well that doesn't matter anymore I see you are ready and I must say you look really pretty" he said smirking.

"Pretty?" I said raising my left brow "just wait here while I go get my phone and we can go" Amelia has got some real explaining to do.

I grab my phone and the keys from the table and head out Aaron following me. I lock the door and we walk towards his black mustang. His car is pretty cool but I'm so not telling him that.

He opens the passenger door and holds it for me "being a gentleman now uh" I say and walk in.

He shuts it and gets in the driver side. The ride was silent with no one talking just the music from the radio when Aaron decides to break the silence.

"Kess, I can be your gentleman if you want" he said smirking at me for a while before getting his attention back on the road.

"Uurggh you wish" I said turning on the radio. I leave it where Nf's option was playing. I look at Aaron from the corner of my eye and see him looking at me.

"Hey, eyes on the road now I don't want to crash" I could see from his face he was thinking of a comeback but couldn't come up with one , the ride was silent after that.

He pulled up and we walked into the mall. I see Amelia and she waves me to come over. I see her speaking with Troy, Cason and Evans.

"Hey kess" Troy said smiling at me then goes to do the guy handshake with Aaron. "Hi Troy and his friends" I take a seat and pull out my phone to play a game. Aaron goes to talk to some blonde girl who is smiling flirtily at him.

I don't really converse with people except Amelia and I'm not ready to embarass myself with my lame attempts at starting a conversation. Some people think it's cause I'm shy but I'm not I'm just not one to talk.

"They just can't get enough of me" Evans said smiling and taking a sip of his smoothie.

"Says the guy who can't ask a girl to the dance" Cason said laughing.

"I didn't want her to get an heart attack" Evans answered.

"Or you were scared you would piss your pants" I didn't mean to listen in on their conversation but they were pretty loud and I definitely didn't mean to say that out loud.

"Oohh, I like this girl" Cason said laughing. "What's your name"

I've sat with these guys at lunch more than twice but we never really talked.

"Kessiana, Kess for short" I answered putting my phone back into my jacket and look towards Amelia and Troy.

Evans looks at me shooting me a sharp look. "Ok Kess, I'm pretty sure you know my name"

"Yeah Cason I do" I said in a bored tone.

Amelia and Troy walk over to us holding hands."So guys I and kess have to go get our dresses I don't know how long we'll be though but I'll message Troy in an hour thirty minutes time" she turns to place a kiss on Troy's lips. "See you later guys"

"Bye kess" Cason said.I nod in response and walk side by side with Amelia into the clothes shopping area.

When we get out of the view of the guys I pull her "Amelia why didn't you tell me Aaron was picking me up "

"It wasn't planned kess. Besides, I've got news for you".

"What do you mean by it wasn't planned. Ami,I was expecting your arrival not Aaron's".

"Kess, I wasn't expecting this too. I was on my way to come get you when Troy dropped by and told me he was taking me to the mall"

"And you didn't tell him you were picking me up"

"I did but he insisted that he was taking me to the mall"

"So,you could have told him to drop by my house and pick me up too"

"I did kess,but he told me that he had everything taken care of. I'm sorry kess"

"OK I forgive you, And what's the news you said you've got for me".
