Sighing, Samato pulled up a tripod with blood tubes and headed to the corner of the room where there were refrigerators and sterile storage chambers. Reaching out, he opened a refrigerator that was quite old by the standards of his past world. Immediately, a faint coolness hit him in the face and putting Atsuko's blood samples inside on a separate shelf, he took several flasks filled with greenish liquid from different shelves, in which pieces of flesh floated.
Attaching chakra threads to the abundance of laboratory utensils, Samato closed the refrigerator and headed to the table levitating samples around him. Approaching, he laid everything out on the table and picked up one of the flasks with a piece of body, looked at it intently.
"The cells are still showing signs of life. Apparently this is only possible due to the fact that I slowly implanted part of Kaguya's DNA. Interestingly, of all the samples, the implantation of this part of Kaguya's DNA caused the lowest percentage of rejection. Even the half-dead cells of Kuzu's tissues began to show the smallest signs of vital energy production. Although apparently it won't last long."
Putting down the flask with Kuzu's body tissue, Samato took another one and looked at it a little painfully.
"Hmm... I think as soon as Atsuko's DNA is completely successfully transformed without any problems, I will begin the gradual transformation of my DNA. Therefore... to the sample, I can say that the probability that my body will give rejection is unlikely, but..."
Placing the flask on the table and opening it, Samato took the tweezers in his right hand. Carefully taking out a piece of his own flesh, he put it on a Petri dish and put it under one of the rather antediluvian microscopes. Having adjusted it and clinging to the eyepiece, he began to peer.
"I don't see any problems yet, but this tissue is separated from the body, so it's impossible to exclude the possibility of rejection."
Moving away from the eyepiece, Samato picked up a syringe and took out a test tube from a tripod, in which there were four more of the same test tubes filled with a transparent liquid. Opening the tight-fitting lid, he filled the syringe and looked again into the microscope and brought the syringe to a piece of flesh.
Folding several seals with one hand, Samato activated the mystical palm and applied it to the Petri dish. Observing how the healing chakra penetrated into the tissues and began to nourish the cells, he pressed the trigger of the syringe and began to slowly inject the serum.
Once in the tissue, the substance began to penetrate into the cells, and then slowly filling the DNA. When the liquid in the syringe ran out, Samato put it aside and focused on the ongoing process.
After a few minutes of observation, the vital energy in the cells began to boil and absorbing the medical chakra, increase in quantity. Reacting to a sharp change, the cells under the influence of energy began to divide intensively.
With the naked eye, one could see how the piece of flesh under the microscope began to slowly increase in size. Calmly looking at this Samato, mentally made notes to himself.
After several tens of seconds, deciding that this was enough, the scientist deactivated the mystical palm and removed his hand. As a result, it did not take long for the cells, having lost the source of the healing chakra, continuing their insane division, began to absorb the energy stored in them.
Watching as the vital energy in the cells began to run out, Samato chuckled and after waiting for some more time saw how, unable to withstand uncontrolled division, the shell of some cells stopped withstanding and bursting destroyed the cell.
"The DNA rearrangement is too fast, if you transfer the data to my body, it will take about six months for a slow change. Hmm, the serum that I have left should be enough..."
Turning away from the table and looking towards the huge flask filled with green liquid, Samato sighed.
"To start more full-fledged experiments, it is necessary to get more complete samples and grow at least one clone of your own… But first, need to finish with the increase in physical energy, and also buy the consumables necessary for the growth of the clone."
Turning back and taking out a Petri dish from under the microscope, Samato was confronted with a viscous, foul-smelling liquid and the absence of his own piece of flesh. Sighing again, he put it aside and released the threads of the chakra, returned the serum and other samples back to the refrigerator.
Closing the refrigerator door, Samato walked to the wall of the room. Folding one seal and releasing a stream of chakra into the floor, he looked in front of him. With a barely audible sound, a small hole opened in the hay. Approaching and putting his hand into it, Samato took out the only thing that was in it.
It was a flask of nutrient fluid, in which a pair of white eyes floated. Calmly, as if he does it every day, Samato walked to the table with a flask in his hands. Placing it on the surface of the table, he opened it without delay, taking out one of the eyeballs.
Holding the byakugan between his fingers, Samato closed his eyes and concentrated. After a couple of seconds, a rather cold, aggressive energy began to flow from his fingers into his eye, strangely subject to the user. Opening his eyes, Samato began to peer at the byakugan in his hand.
"It will take some more time and the byakugan chakra in Kuzu's eyes will become subject to my control. When that happens, I'll be able to direct it into one eye."
From the series, Samato remembered that the big tenseigan on the moon, in addition to Hamura's eyes themselves, contained a lot of byakugans. If you think about it, you can say that tenseigan absorbed byakugan. Having thought about it, Samato, whose control has long allowed manipulating even his chakra from the eyes, decided to try to merge the energy of two eyes into one.
This method differs from what the Otsutsuki did on the moon, since when donating, their eyes remained separated from each other and, being suppressed by a powerful tenseigan chakra, formed a giant and rather "fragile" tenseigan.
Samato went the other way and instead of forcibly merging, which would most likely have failed, he decided to slowly influence the byakugan Kuzu, mixing them with his byakugan chakra and slowly making it like his own. According to his assumption, when the chakra in Kuzu's byakugan becomes sufficiently subordinate to him, he will try to merge the energy of the two eyes.
Pouring his byakugan chakra into his eye for a couple of minutes, Samato stopped and took the second one and repeated the process. When the same amount of time had passed, the scientist sighed heavily, feeling a slight pain in his eyes and putting the byakugan back into the flask, closed it, placing it in the wall. Wearily folding the seal and releasing a certain flow of chakra, he closed the secret vault.
"It's time to go back."
After looking around his small laboratory with a slightly bleary eye, Samato came across Atsuko covered in blood. Sighing, he approached him, straightening his arm and directing the chakra through the chakra channels, concentrated. Slowly, water began to appear on his hand, which, contrary to physics, enveloped his palm.
Lingering a little look on the water, Samato brought his hand to Atsuko's stomach and, while maintaining a certain level of chakra supply, held his palm, removing the blood and leaving behind a slightly moist pale skin.
Stepping aside to a tall iron bucket, he stopped feeding the chakra, dispelling the technique. The water, having lost the chakra holding it, flowed down.
"Will need to devote more time to this."
