A short break in a week.
...
Waving his hand, removing the remnants of water, Samato took off his gloves and threw them into the same bucket. Approaching the table, he took a test tube filled with a black-green liquid, opened it and put it to his mouth, drank. Easily restraining his face due to the vile herbaceous taste, the scientist felt his fatigue slowly begin to recede.
Putting the test tube back down, he headed towards the dark hole in the wall that was visible to the side. Entering it and walking along a small corridor, Samato climbed a dozen steps, stopping only in front of a wall covering further movement.
Folding the seal and releasing imperceptible streams of chakra, the ceiling above his head shifted to the side, opening the exit. Jumping to the top, he came out of it, finding himself in a small grassy clearing, on which several different types of flowers grew. A little to the side, could hear the murmur of water and the rhythmic knock of sisi-odosi.
The sky was dark, but there was a glow beginning on the horizon, creating a rather beautiful landscape. Samato not paying attention to the surrounding beauty and a fraction of attention, folded the seal, at the same time looking around.
Obeying the message of the chakras, the fuinjutsu laid activated, hiding the hole with an earthen slab covered with grass. After making sure that there was no one in the around, and most of the servants, having gone to their rooms, were sleeping, Samato went to his room.
Walking through the quiet long corridors of the estate, not a sound came from the scientist's footsteps. Pushing open the door to his room and entering, he closed it without making a sound. Releasing a rather tired sigh, Samato finally deactivated his already pretty sore eyes, went to his rookery, and sat down on a rather soft surface with his legs crossed.
"Thanks to such frequent and long-term use of byakugan, my chakra channels leading to the eyes have become strong enough that I can maintain a two-kilometer viewing radius for about four hours under light loads. The maximum level of visibility that I currently have is seven kilometers. If it is necessary to engage in a rather heavy battle, I think I can maintain an enhanced surveillance mode for thirty minutes without any problems. Although if this fight is really hard and have to use techniques, this time will be greatly reduced. I wonder if there will be changes in the integration of Kaguya's DNA and the fusion of the byakugan chakra... If we consider that this is a kind of atavism, then there should be... It's a pity Atsuko's byakugan is sealed, if the experiment succeeds, it will be necessary to proceed to attempts to remove the seal."
Pondering various thoughts, Samato immersed himself in the process of daily meditation. By driving the abundance of chakra through his channels, he tried to strengthen the already strong control over the energy in his own body, while at the same time trying to strengthen the chakra channels.
It was quite a difficult process for others, since it was cannot to overdo it with the sent chakra flows. If you accidentally direct a sufficiently large amount of energy into some thin chakra channel, then it may not withstand and will be damaged. It is for this reason that not many ninjas have done this.
After a couple of hours, the sun, visible on the edge of the horizon, has already shown most of its part, illuminating the territory occupied by the Hyuga clan. Slowly opening his eyes, Samato let out dirty air. Getting up from the bed and stretching a little, he headed for the door.
Passing through the lighted corridors, he occasionally met servants passing by, who bowed respectfully. Most of them are ordinary people whose byakugan did not form enough chakras to activate, and there was practically no talent in mastering ninja skills. Of course, there were also trained ninjas among them, who monitored the security of the estate.
Entering a rather large hall with a long table on which there were pre-prepared food appliances, Samato sat down on a soft dzabuton. A few minutes later, several servants entered the room, who put several different dishes and additives in front of the scientist.
- Samato-dano, bon appetit.
Picking up a spoon, Samato barely nodded, not even looking at the speaker and pushing a large plate with a rather pleasantly smelling soup, whose broth looked extremely rich. Dropping a spoon into it and scooping up the broth, Samato began to eat quickly but carefully. The servants only smiled tightly, standing aside, waiting.
It took about fifteen minutes for several plates of fairly calorie-laden food to empty. Samato, who looked like he hadn't eaten anything, got up and looked at the servants and asked.
- Was Father at home?
Bowing, one of the servants, who was a young man, calmly replied.
- No, Hanshi-dano hasn't come yet.
- OK.
Nodding, Samato headed out of the manor, moving towards the clan hospital. The early streets of the clan were pretty empty, except for the occasional passing Shinobi. Upon entering the hospital, Samato felt the unpleasant smell of blood hit him in the nose. The reception area was full of bunks placed next to each other, on which ordinary people were lying.
Occasionally, painful moans were heard from them, to which no one paid attention. Between the thin aisles among the bunks, rather emaciated young Hugs walked. Some of them who provided treatment had their hands covered by the medical chakra.
These were young members of the clan who were sent to the hospital to learn the medical art, and to give more practice, they were assigned to treat ordinary people. Still, it would be bad if a member of the clan suffered because of their inexperience.
Seeing Samato, some of them showed respect on their faces, but there were few of them, the rest only cast barely noticeable glances of suspicion. After taking a look at the novice medical ninjas, the scientist activated the byakugan and, not finding Hanshi, headed to the second floor. Along the way, Samato caught sight of ninjas quickly passing by him, under the eyes of some of whom, dark circles could be seen. The scientist, although he did not have an innate sense of the chakra, but after spending a little time in this direction, he could feel exhaustion in those passing from him a few meters away.
Stopping in front of the door, he knocked several times. But there was no answer, shrugging his shoulders, Samato reached for the handle and turned it, opened the unlocked office.
A rather unpleasant smell hit him in the nose, but without reacting to it, he looked around the dark office, which was still in disarray. A man was sitting at a table against the opposite wall. Relying his elbow on the table, he closed his eyes and was immersed in sleep.
- Ahem, Father.
The silence of the dark office was broken by the rather loud coughing of Samato, who immediately woke the man up. Jumping up, Hanshi quickly looked around with barely focused eyes. At the same time, he was whispering as if he had already repeatedly mentioned the phrase.
- Yes, yes, I'm awake, again a new wounded man...
