The Last Push Until......

Aligning himself with the pillar behind him Xilo made sure he was ready as best as possible because while this may be the easiest part of the whole plan if something happened and a mistake occurred it would also be the easiest part to mess up forcing them into an extremely bad situation. Looking at Xelfia in the corner he looked to see if she was ready yet and received a nod in return that most likely meant she was ready. "Good." Turning his attention back to the Statue in front of him Xilo continued running backwards while dodging as he inched closer to the pillar.

"No fire please."

Slash after slash Xilo dodged whenever he had to as his body was slowly getting more exhausted but he pushed on regardless until he reached the end of the room and jumped out of the way as the Statue swung again towards the pillar. Seeing the Statues blades get stuck in the pillar once again Xilo turned quickly and shouted in the direction of Xelfia.

"Now!."

Hearing Xilo shout at her Xelfia opened her eyes as a mass of energy started to swirl around her before turning into vines that started to twirl around her almost like a protective cocoon before she directed them towards the Statue that was stuck in full force. "These should be strong enough." Calmly she made her vines wrap around every part of the Statues body trying to entangle it and keep it there. Her job was to simply make sure her vines didn't break well keeping it in place as best as possible and using this situation where it already stunned itself trying to grab its swords was the perfect opportunity.

Xilo watched each moment as the vines entangled themselves with the Statue and slowed its each and every movement trapping it. At first it struggled a little bit but just like he had thought it still tried to grab it's swords and ignored the vines which was its downfall. After a little more struggling from the statue it was eventually trapped as it became rooted to the ground and stopped moving entirely. Seeing that Xilo felt some excitement at the thought of finally being almost done here but quickly ignored that feeling as he prepared himself since there was still work to be done.

"Now to destroy that weak spot."

he didn't know for certain what would happen now but this was their one big chance. Gripping his dagger he dashed towards its unmoving back and found its weak spot quickly. Jumping on its back as it was slightly hunched over Xilo climbed onto its back until he arrived near the area he was looking for and raised his dagger high. "Now let's see if this will work." hammering it down as hard as he possibly could he watched as his blade hit the target right on the mark and did nothing but send vibrations up his arm but he didn't care instead he simply brought his dagger back up and repeated it again.

As long as he could do damage and had enough time he would be able to break into it eventually and wasting time doing anything else wasn't worth it. "At least I can see it chipping away." With each blow he landed small chunks of its golden body was coming off as he slowly got to the core. "I just need to be worried about time." Speeding himself up he got even faster as he brought his other hand up to his dagger and sank it down into its body with both hands.

While Xilo was doing that Xelfia watched on while doing her best to keep it from moving anymore but that was a bigger struggle than she had initially thought. "With how big it is this is a lot harder then I imagined but I need to keep it still for Xilo..." She could feel the sweat starting to drip down her face just from this alone but with each small movement the Statue tried she was in a struggle. Thankfully it kept repeating the same basic movements so it was easier to restrict then it normally should have been but if it decided to change she would probably lose control of her vines instantly.

"Xilo, hurry."

All she could do was hope for Xilo to destroy its weak spot fast as she held on while her body's tension raised higher to the point her whole body felt stiff.

*Clink* *Clink* *clink*

Smashing his dagger, Xilo was getting closer to opening up its weak spot finally but he could feel his strikes getting weaker as well with each blow. "Just a little more come on you got this." Trying to encourage and push himself, Xilo kept going but he didn't know how much he had left in him before he wouldn't be able to do anything anymore. "Whoa." Feeling the statue move more than he was used to he panicked slightly caught off guard before stabilizing himself again. "Faster." increasing his speed even if it made him weaker more quickly he dug his blade deeper into the Statue's back with more speed and intensity then before.

Any second Xelfia would probably lose control and then they would be screwed for sure so this was the last push for the both of them. "Just a little more." He could see the purple a lot easier now along with even more movement from the Statue but he needed a few more hits before he could do any real damage.

"Xelfia, Just a little more."

Receiving no reply he felt the Statue struggling more as it began to move again. "This is it I guess." Knowing it would be over soon he rammed his dagger into it's back one last time before he felt the Statue break out of it's cage while flinging Xilo off it's back. Thankfully While Xilo flew through the air he saw his dagger lodged deeply into it's back and smiled slightly before feeling the hard ground smack against his back forcing a cough out of him.

"It worked..."
