Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Stun Locked

A man came over with three glasses and set them down on the counter before leaving. Pushing the drink away from Yanyan there was no way she was going to let her drink. "What was he thinking?!" Passing it to the old drunk beside her Levia stared at hers. She was never a fan of drinking, she knew that the old man would never say a word to her without it though. In a battle of stubbornness Tano won, he was incredibly annoying to deal with because of that. Bubbles floated to the top as Levia reached her hand out. Grabbing the glass she brought it up to her mouth slowly and took a swig.

Not wanting to get drunk, that's all she would give him.

"Aye, looks like you've learned to relax a bit since I last saw you. That's good, you always were so doom and gloom. It really killed the mood a lot of the times. Good to see, good to see."

Tano took both drinks in front of him into his hands and double chugged them down his throat without the slightest care for all the liquid that spilled out. Once he was done he wiped his beard as he belched loudly. Setting down the glasses he immediately asked the man behind the counter for more. Covering her nose, Levia was quite disgusted with Tano. "Is this really the right choice?" Maybe over the years she had forgotten just how bad Tano could truly be and she was just living in the memory of the good times. Exaggerating it in hopes that she wouldn't feel guilty about leaving Yanyan with him.

Eyeing Levia to his side Tana spoke up once his next set of drinks arrived.

"So why'd you come looking for me of all people. If I remember correctly the last time I saw you..well you ran away from me. Screaming something about not wanting to find them and doing your own thing."

"You're right, I still don't wish to find them even now. My family is gone and no longer know me. The years have only further proved how right I was about that and I hated that you tried to push me to find them. My past was suffocating and I needed to escape. I have another reason to come find you as much as I hate to admit it. I got lucky overhearing you being here and figured you'd be perfect for the job."

Tano stared at the brown liquid in his glass as he listened to Levia talk about distancing herself from her family. "The way I see it, it's only gotten worse." He would never say that outloud though, that would only result in another fight like last time. It had been almost five years since he had last seen her and he didn't want it to end so soon. She might not have seen it the same way as him but he treated Levia like she was his very own daughter. Ever since he first found her he had trained and teached her how to live on her own. From a young child to an adult and seeing Levia run away from him that day had broke his heart.

"Her being here for me, means something serious at least."

Even if it was a royal pain in the ass, he didn't care, he would do it.

"Me perfect for something? That's quite a rarity. What would this job happen to be that you think I'm up for? Treasure hunting, murder, infiltration or do you need money? Don't beat around the bush and just tell me."

Tano was definitely defeated when he said that however Levia didn't seem to notice or care if she did. Grabbing Yanyan's hand Levia brought her onto her lap like a small child as she faced Tano. "This is so awkward." Pushing past that feeling she cleared her throat. Looking at Levia, Tano looked at the other person that came with her for the first time. "Horns?" He had just ignored her at first thinking it was another companion she had made, now that he took a closer look that was quickly crumbling. "She's far too young...and unique." Scratching his beard he watched Yanyan try and hide her head.

"I came here today to talk to you about this girl here. I kinda just found her by accident and promised I'd give her some help."

"Found her by accident? Ya right, no one stumbles across a girl like this by mistake. Is she an Astral beast, she has horns and little scales around her body?"

"Uhh, yeah lets go with that."

Raising an eye at Levia's hesitation to say Tano got to his next point.

"Arlight so then why are you helping her and what's that have anything to do with me?"

"....."

Levia went silent for a moment when Tano asked that

"Levia?"

Scratching her head Levia looked down at Yanyan then back to Tano.

"I wanted you to take care of her...and raise her like you did with me. You see she lost her parents and home just recently and has nowhere to go. She's far too young to go anywhere else and I can't take care of her. I don't know how to do that kind of thing. As much as I disagreed with you in the past about meeting my family again I still know you helped me a lot, being a great role model even with your..uh quirks mixed into the bunch. I know I haven't seen you in a long time and this is a huge ask but I beg you...please take care of her Tano. I don't want to see another child grow up like I did. Not another kid lost to the world..."

Levia felt tears forming in her eyes as she finished talking and started crying instead.

"I..."

Met with such unusual emotions from Levia, Tano was stun locked as he heard her begin to cry in front of him.

Enjoy.
