Over thinking

Looking towards the flames Xilo heard a scream that made his blood go cold that he never thought he would hear in his life. "Tearia?" Through muddied thoughts Xilo registered in his head the person who made that scream as a deep hollow pit grew in his stomach again. "What's happening over there?" His thoughts ran wild as a panic set in but he couldn't do anything about it at the moment besides hope that whatever was happening on the other sides of those flames wasn't as bad as he thought it was. Calming himself down a bit he looked at Zilan as he wiped the blood from his mouth while trying to stand back up.

"What is it that you want?"

Trying to keep himself calm he tried to ask any question he could while pushing the sound of her scream out of his head.

"To see what you're made of."

"What I'm made of?"

Confused by such a reply Xilo didn't know what else to say but another scream pierced his skull forcing him to move forward. "Whatever, If I want to help them I need to defeat these two but how..." Nothing came to him though as he weighed the odds in his head. "Once again, You're stuck thinking about what if's, why's, how's and not actually doing anything." Hearing his own voice in his head make fun of himself he felt a spike of irritation. "I'm useless." Forcing himself forward he spawned another Ice Dagger after the last two broke and rushed forward. "Calm yourself." Taking a deep breath he lunged forward as he attacked the man in front of him.

"Again?"

Watching the dagger come close to him he leaned back slightly again disappointed however in the next second he felt a scratch open up on his chest. "...." Looking down at the blood that seeped out of his chest slightly a smile reached his face. Retracting the ice of his blade Xilo watched the mark get created with no emotion as he continued attacking. Not Noticing Zilan's smile he continued onwards as another slash went right for his chest while he created more ice to extend his blade's reach. "Again." Watching another small mark appear he retracted the ice he made once more. The daggers he created this time around were slightly different with the ability to extend their blade by a tiny bit but it was enough.

If he was stronger and had more practice he might have been able to make it reach further but controlling his Astral Ice Blades like this was already taxing on his strength. "Besides, once this trick gets found out it's pretty useless." However it proved to himself that maybe Zilan wasn't so undefeatable and that's all that mattered to him. "Stay calm." Hearing another scream he flinched as his attack missed this time. "Dammit." No matter how hard he tried, those screams broke his concentration in an instant. Each one filled his chest with pain that he couldn't handle throwing him off while thoughts roamed in his head.

"Will she die as well?" Was the thought he was scared of the most as the fight continued on. "Am I really going to be forced to watch myself be powerless again. No stay calm." Feeling heat run up his arm he backed off as a fire passed his face barely missing his skull. However he still got burnt a little bit as another punch came his way. "So strong." Faced with such Strength Xilo couldn't let his attention slip for a second or he would end up dead but Tearia's screams made it difficult. "Why are you fighting this guy..." Suddenly having that thought Xilo froze mid dodge as a fist knocked him aside due to his slip up.

Feeling an impact run up his arm he caught his breath as he heard his bone slightly crack. "Dammit..don't get distracted." Attempting to counter attack Xilo ignored the pain as he kicked forward hoping for something but Zilan just casually moved to the side to avoid it. "So much better." All of Zilan's movements were a lot smoother than Xilo could hope to accomplish as of now. "I need to help them." Fighting with himself in his head he backed up into the fire wall that cut the room in half. Feeling the heat run up his back he wanted to leave but he had nowhere to go, Zilan had pushed him here.

"What now."

Watching him silently approach thoughts raced through his mind thinking about what to do as one last scream entered ears much worse than before as he felt his brain stop working.

"XILO!"

Stunned he didn't move as the heat continued to burn his back. "What am I doing..." No longer trying to think deeply about it his brain had stopped working completely as emotions took control. "Tearia...I hate you, you know that?" Shouting that in his mind he created Astral Energy throughout his entire body as an extremely stupid idea was about to unfold but he didn't care anymore. Thinking wasn't helping and he was too weak to do anything else. He was at a wall physically and mentally with nothing left to do but get stupid. "Sometimes...I overthink things too much and yet other times I underthink things, I honestly think I'm an idiot." Watching Zilan stare at him he let out at a sigh as he threw himself backwards into the wall of flames without looking back. Meanwhile Zilan watched it all with a giant smile on his face.

"We really are too damn similar..."

Faced with heat his body or mind couldn't handle Xilo created a ball of ice to surround himself but it melted a lot faster then he could keep up with. "it's working though." Regardless of the burn that stung his skin he didn't care as he pushed through to the other side. Meanwhile Zilan silently watched as he was left on the other side alone with Marie.

"Is this good enough for you Marie?"

Little late, sorry. :c

Enjoy.
