Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

Making It?

"It's unfortunate that we have to do it like this but yeah, I think that was good enough for me. What about you?"

"If it's good enough for you it's good enough for me, I just hope he doesn't go too hard on our friends."

"They can take care of themselves. I'm just more worried he'll hate us."

"Between hating us and hating that damn wolf clan I think I know which he'll choose more."

"I suppose your right."

Watching the wall of flame burn brightly Zilan talked with Marie as he let time pass. "Good luck." He wouldn't drop the wall even for him, this was a test and it wouldn't be over once he got through it either. "Our friends aren't pushovers even if they're a little weak." He had been teaching the three of them all together as their little journey went on so he knew how capable they were. "Though you shouldn't have too much trouble with them." Looking down at the cuts that were left on his chest he smiled at the glimpse of strength he saw in the man that wasn't there before.

"An interesting fellow."

Feeling a suffocating heat surrounding him as he barely moved forward Xilo could barely draw any air into his lungs. "So hot.." This wall of flames was a lot bigger than he had thought and his Ice was melting faster by the second however his biggest problem was his lack of strength to move forward. Air wasn't getting to his lungs or brain and his reactions were slowing down tremendously. Feeling sweat drip down his body as his clothes began to stick to his skin he moved forward a slight inch as more ice melted. "Can I make it?" Having that thought haunt his mind he lifted his foot up again as he barely moved forward.

"G..od..this was dumb."

His voice was turning hoarse and he could barely speak but he managed to push that out as more ice finally grew around him. "Need to help them though." If Tearia was already in so much pain as it was then Felli couldn't be doing any better herself. "Besides, fighting together is for the better." Even if after this Zilan just followed him at least he would have those two to help him out now. He couldn't do everything alone unfortunately. Right now he was just too weak for something like that.

"Where did they even come from."

He remembered bumping into the man way back but he didn't know he had friends with him or why they were even after him so suddenly. "He did seem pretty agressive before...but surely that's not why right?" Regardless of the reason though his main focus should be to help them. "So hot..." Feeling the sweat drip down his face he kept on making more Ice as he moved a couple more steps. He didn't know how far he had to go but he was steadily making progress even if it was incredibly slow and difficult. Soon his Ice would run out though and he would be consumed by the flames. "Doubt I can survive that." If he didn't have his ice he would be dead.

"Just a little more I hope." Pushing his way through blindly he could hear the sounds of fighting get louder in between the roar of flames. Dodging another attack Felli jumped back as another attack passed her by along with another one of those annoying screams. Trying to keep her concentration she slowed down her opponents movement a little more as she struck forward. "Why are they attacking us?" She had tried to stop Zilan before but he didn't even give her a glance. She knew how he was so it was quite strange to see him doing something so weird and out of place for him. "Did Xilo manage to piss him off somehow?" That was the only thing she could think of but Xilo didn't seem like the person to go around starting fights with people randomly either.

"Ahhh, Frustrating."

Hearing another one of those screams she took a deep breath while she felt some bones cracking in her opponent. "Such an awful ability." One of the men attacking them had an awful ability to imitate people's voices at will and kept continuously screaming in their ear's whenever he could while fighting them. "A voice based ability...always annoying." The things they could do with stuff like that was quite irksome from what she had heard stories of in the past but at least this time around the man only seemed alright with screaming. "Why though?" With that question flashing through her mind she dodged one of their counter attacks while she checked to make sure Tearia was doing alright.

"Good she's fine." While she knew each one was fake she was still worried regardless. Watching her zap her opponent's body while eating a punch she slightly flinched at the sight but she knew Tearia was fine for the most part. "You got this." Feeling her arm cave a little with the impact of an attack, Tearia tried her best to keep her opponent on the left side of her body. If she didn't do that then she was essentially exposing her weak point to them due to her arm's issue. "This is a lot harder than I thought." Before against the Astral Beasts she was able to beat them quickly enough to not worry about it but now facing someone on equal footing as her she was feeling the impact of having one useless arm in a fight.

"I need the practice though I guess." Trying to look at it positively she dodged a kick coming for her well dodging to the right to keep the man there as another of his annoying screams entered her ears. "I do not sound like that dammit nor do I scream." She couldn't even remember the last time she had screamed like that but she was positive she didn't sound so annoying. Creating more lightning she watched it phase into her hand as she looked at the black haired man that kept making those noises as she fired off a streak of lightning towards him due to the distance between them. Thankfully whenever he screamed he would stop for a split second giving her an opportunity to do so.

"ha...If Xilo was here this would be so much easier."

Looking at the wall of flames that separated them Tearia lightly sighed as another attack came her way.

Enjoy.
