A Trade

A swirling orb appeared in her palm for a brief second sucking up the poison around her before disappearing instantly. "Huh?" Unsure why it vanished so quickly Xelfia felt Hunter coming straight for her. Grabbing him by the arm before he could strike, his arm turned into liquid before her eyes. Falling to the ground it flowed behind her as Hunter showed up and stabbed her scales. Digging into the hard steel like flesh Hunter couldn't break past her defences fast enough. Wiping around Xelfia smacked him with the back of her claws and kicked him away. Flexing her scales she adjusted her body as water spilled to the ground.

"I wonder if this can stop you."

A pool of water gathered underneath their feet slowing their movement. She wanted to see if when he liquefied she could stop him using the water. Light splashes trailed behind her as she tried to use the blackhole again. "It doesn't want to work." Giving up Xelfia ignored the sounds of people and beasts dying around her as her claws shred Hunter's arm. Letting blood spill out she noticed he wasn't using his liquid as she attacked again. Tearing at his arm she got another hit in. Hunter panicked as he felt the water underneath him. "Tch, annoying." If he liquefied there was a chance he might never come back as himself if the girl was smart. "Defence isn't my specialty." Trying to back up he felt his reactions slowing down.

"Come on, poison, do your thing already."

A strong wind came by at that moment pushing most of it away.

*Whoosh*

Left with no choice he could only rely on his poison taking effect. If not he might actually lose this kind fight. "This might be my end." Trying to buy time Hunter ignored his injuries as he used his sword to fight back. Whether it hit or not didn't matter, he just had to stall. Flailing around like a kid throwing a tantrum he felt his blade connect a few times. Doing her best to focus on attacking Xelfia felt her body slowing down as the poison started to work. "Just beat him first." If she didn't stop him, then they were all going to be screwed.

"Where's XIlo?"

That thought floated by her mind for a second before she felt a sharp pain run through her back.

"Fuck."

Xilo's limbs had turned completely numb and had lost all feeling. Falling to the ground, Xilo tried to think of a way to remove the poison in his body. "I'm not just going to watch." Panting, he was running out of breath as his throat closed up. From the corner of his eye he saw Tearia and Felli's fight also grinding to a halt as the poison took control of the battlefield. "How can I stop this." Searching through his mind, Xilo thought about the Astral Zone and its abilities to create Astral beasts. "That might work." Diverting some of his attention he took over the core as a giant beast started to appear beside him. "Relia isn't here but." This could also work as well.

*Cawwwwwww*

A giant bird double his size quickly appeared beside him before flying into the air. Spreading its giant wings a gust of wind came and started to blow all the air away from them. "Thankfully we're in the Astral Zone." When Xilo had left the Astral Zone before he had checked to see if he could create any Beast or control the Zone outside of it. In his few quick tests he had confirmed that he couldn't. He kept the strength it gave him but all the functions of the Zone stayed in the Zone. Meaning he couldn't spawn Astral Beasts on command like Keld. That was why he planned to ambush them inside here because he was at a territory advantage.

Within a few seconds fresh air entered his lungs as he was finally allowed to breathe. Taking in all the air he could, Xilo stabilized himself. "Looks like Tearia's fight will be done." She had already started fighting again and from the looks of it, it was over. A blade of lightning appeared in Tearia's hands as she took a pill. "Looks like the poisons gone." With her medicine she was able to nullify most of its effects. Passing one to Felli, Tearia watched Felli send Unstable space at hazel and explode. Following right behind those explosions Tearia slashed at Hazel's chest creating a long scar that followed her attack. As Hazel cried out in pain Tearia thought about killing her for a second before she smashed her head, knocking her out.

"We're done here, let's go help the others, Felli."

"Yeah, give me some of that medicine. I'll go help the weak people and keep them alive. You go help Xilo and Xelfia against the man."

Handing over some of the medicine she had, Tearia watched Felli jolt off before running towards Xilo. Coming up beside him she stuffed a pill in his mouth without a word. Swallowing it, Xilo felt his throat opening up. He was still incredibly numb however it was beginning to fade. Standing up, he thanked Tearia as the two of them charged at Hunter. With swords in hand They snuck up behind him and stabbed him in the back while Xelfia kept him pinned. A large sword dug its way into Xelfia's back as she saw Tearia and Xilo appear in front of her vision.

"Huh?"

With the last of his strength Hunter did everything in his power to kill Xelfia before he felt his vision going dark. "Take that." Fading out of the world Hunter collapsed into the water and filled it with blood. At the last second when he noticed the two coming for him, he risked liquefying. He had hesitated a little too much however and failed to dodge their attacks before appearing behind Xelfia. Watching Xelfia and Hunter fall to the floor, Xilo grabbed Xelfia before she fell. Holding her, he checked on the rest of the battlefield after making sure Hunter was passed out.

"Looks like we're done here."

Bodies and blood filled the ground as the ones leftover ran out of the Astral Zone.

Enjoy.
