A Small Time Spent Bonding

"Levia is it..."

Taking a minute to digest that information Tearia didn't know what to say at the moment. She had seen the girl in the past but never wanted to get to know her because she had always felt something was off about her but she knew her Grandfather cared about her especially after seeing this sight. "But why did he hide this from me for so long." However she wasn't mad or upset that it had happened like this she was just curious.

"So why did you hide this from until now then?"

"That's.....complicated."

"I see well I still have all the time in the world until the competition starts after tomorrow."

"You...are just like your Grandmother."

"What was that?"

"nothing.."

Trailing off at the end of his words Eli switched between looking at the gravestone and Tearia contemplating what he wanted to exactly do in this situation. Explaining this story was one of the bigger reasons why he never wanted to tell her about Levia especially with what happened to her recently but she also deserved to know. "Well I brought her here for a reason and with how Tearia can be sometimes she won't be happy until I tell her now...Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut." But it was too late for that now so he prepared himself for a long story as he took a seat on the grass. Following along with her Grandfather Tearia also sat down alongside him.

"Are you prepared?"

"Yes."

She didn't understand why her Grandfather seemed to be hovering around the subject but she would find out now.

"Well It starts like this....."

Beginning his reminiscence he started telling his story about how he had met his best friend in the past. "Finel I'm sorry.." Sitting there he talked to hours with Tearia as they sat there together as the mood started to change throughout the story as Tearia listened patiently and with a little sorrow in her heart but the one emotion that stayed between them the most was a sort of happiness. Neither of them spent much time like this together in their lives except here and there so it was somewhat enjoyable for both of them and something Tearia didn't want to end almost.

"But I had been in Love with your Grandmother for a long time at that point and...."

"No longer wanted another lover?"

"Yes..."

Wincing slightly he looked at Tearia wanting to see some kind of reaction but no matter how hard he looked even he couldn't see anything on her face to go off of to see how she was currently feeling so he continued. From how she went on a rampage after that to how he was forced to chase her down and kill her to eventually being betrayed by his own clan and people. Of course he left out small details that didn't matter whenever he could throughout the story but Tearia never interrupted as he continued until eventually he finished his tale by the time the sun was starting to go down.

"And that's all there is to it."

"..."

Watching Tearia not say anything as she stared off into the distance Eli felt a little tense as he worried his fears were coming true but he didn't know what to do. This story's goal wasn't to discourage Tearia but to try and help her not become like that if one day she ever met with Xilo again and was rejected once again. The day he carried her home after that event he was honestly scared that might be an outcome but thankfully Tearia was a strong girl. "That's right..She's tougher than she looks." Coming to that realization another thought occurred to him as Tearia's voice echoed into the forest.

"So do you think I'll be rejected as well or unforgiven. Is that why you told me all this or is it something else?"

"She's also smart.' She hit the point right on the head of what he was getting at with that story but she didn't entirely understand either.

"Yes and no."

"...?"

Tilting her head she didn't quite understand.

"I told you this story in hopes that if one day it ever comes to such a thing. As you can tell even though I didn't love her back she was still deeply important to me and who knows time might have changed my mind again although doubtful but she crumbled too fast to find out herself. I just want you to not make any mistakes that you'll regret if it ever happens. Remember Just like me, you might make Xilo feel the exact same pain I do and your Grandmother and I are also here wanting you to life as well."

"...."

"So well yes I do want you to be happy I also want you to not ever forget that we are here supporting you. So what If Xilo rejects you one or two times more? Keep pushing for what you want. Giving up is not the option. Do what you're good at and just be yourself there's no need to do anything else. Eventually you might reach him one day if it ever goes that way. Just don't....."

"It's okay Grandfather."

Looking up he stared at Tearia in front of him smiling slightly well staring at him without him noticing.

"I'm quite stubborn you know and I haven't given up yet After All. I understand you care for Levia and your friend greatly But I'll try my best to not recreate any of the mistakes that they did. Would that calm your mind?

".....Yes."

"Alright then let's go home. I'm sure Grandmother is worried about us and I've got a competition soon."

"You're right let's go."

Getting up he took tearia's hand as he felt a lot more at ease suddenly but before he left he gave one last goodbye to Levia before turning around seeing Tearia a little ways ahead of him and heard her fleeting voice before she disappeared from his sight.

"And thank you.."

"Silly girl." Shaking his head he followed after her.

"I should be thanking you."

Levia is The niece and Finel is the friend of Eli. In case some might have caught that.

Enjoy
