Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

A New Job

"Yeah that isn't a problem, If Tearia isn't around when another case of it breaks out it wouldn't be a good thing right, Tearia?"

"Sure, just give a minute to write it down, I have some extras of the material that Xilo got me as well but you might need to get some more when you can."

Pulling out a piece of paper she started to write it down. Before she didn't have enough time to teach others how to do it but with no stress for time she could let them practice. "And most of the doctors there weren't even ready for stuff like this." She assumed since they were on top of it now there would be more professionals around to take care of it when she wasn't there. They would also probably do it a whole lot better than her. With a couple minutes passing Tearia took her time writing down every single thing they would need and what they had to do.

"Thank you, this will help in the future."

"Ehh don't mention it, I'd rather people get healed too."

While they waited for Tearia to finish Xilo looked down at the job he had selected and looked over it. Xilo had chosen the escort job this time around. "They want protection for delivering goods to a town." It was a more straightforward job that he could hopefully handle. It gave out recommendations for strength levels to be around 5th to 6th stage which Xilo just barely met. Xelfia had already surpassed that along with Relia while Tearia was slightly behind Xilo. All together their group had a nice balance that should be good enough for the job and it let him build more connections. If he could become friends with the merchant delivering goods then that could open more doors for him.

"Alright I'm done, here you go."

Sitting up, Tearia passed the piece of paper with everything on it over to Telan then stood by Xilo's right side. Looking over his shoulder she looked at what job he had picked as Relia sat up and joined them. Seeing them all ready to go and without much left to say Xilo and his group said his goodbyes. They had some stuff to get ready for this job and not much time left to do it. The merchant was leaving tomorrow in the morning so they had to be ready for that. Watching their little group of four leave for the day, Telan read over the paper Tearia left before handing it to Aeon.

"Not going to ask them to join you?"

"Not just yet, for now I'll give them this little deal and see how they continue to handle themselves. They were impressive this time around but I want consistency. In the meantime I'm sending people to scout the Royal Family and keep an eye out on neighbouring towns. I don't want another case like this to go unnoticed once more. As for you Aeon I have something else for you to do then following them this time."

"As you command sir."

"Good, I'll need you to pick up a little package for me. It'll be arriving in a couple hours at the entrance of the city. Think you can do that?"

"Yes, I'll be on my way."

"Good, it'll be arriving at the north gate. Return to me once you've collected it.

Leaving Telan's side Aeon headed out the door towards the north entrance of the city. He was itching to find out more about the royal family especially once Telan mentioned the name Katrin again but he knew Telan was right. They would need to wait for more physical proof before they could really do anything. He didn't know what the man had in mind but Telan had been his partner for years now so he trusted him. "Katrin..what are you doing." Was she really listening to some crazy person's lies or was it something else? Aeon didn't really know, he had thought she was a smart girl but maybe power had blinded her

."Or she's afraid of something the man said."

That was the only other thing he could think of but what could have been said to make a woman like her scared. In his memory of her, very few things ever scared her. "Haa....it's going to be a long night." Trying to shake his thoughts off of her he soon arrived at the entrance. Katrin was no longer a part of his life anymore and what she did wasn't up to him. Leaning against the gate he closed his eyes as he became invisible to the world around him, blending in while he waited. For the next few hours he'd be waiting here for whatever it is Telan wanted.

"Katrin..."

Stumbling through a pathway, Felli held her stomach where she was stabbed by the king as she tried to keep it together. It had been healed for the most part but she was still incredibly tired and frustrated. Her soft steps echoed across the path as she looked around trying to stay awake. Bushes and grass had grown like crazy here with no one to take care of it but she could still see where to go. She was so close to home and her mother. She had found the thing that was asked of her and while she may not have gotten the giant crystal that was an extra to her. With this she would make her mother proud and that was what mattered the most.

Stumbling inside a building she passed a few guards but ignored them as she made her way to her mother's room.

"Almost there."

Seeing the doors up ahead enter her vision, Felli knew she was finally there as she slowly opened up the two doors to reveal a beautiful woman sitting on top of a throne.

"Oh, you're finally home Felli, I was beginning to worry about you but it looks like that was unneeded."

"I've returned mother..."

"Welcome home."
