Aftermath

It's been about 20 minutes since the rescue of Cheng. When a doctor finally arrived, a servant led the doctor into the room where Cheng.

"This girl is lucky she doesn't have many injuries and most of them are surface level one's that should heal quickly. She will wake up in a few hours but her body is very weak, so just give her some food after she wakes up and she should be fine. I'll prescribe some medicine that helps with these small wounds" The doctor said after examining Cheng

"Thank you doctor" Heng said with a smile looking relieved

The doctor nodded at Heng's words before passing the prescription to a servant. The servant took the prescription and gave the doctor his money. After receiving his money the doctor left.

"Heng you should go eat something, you haven't eaten all day" Li Feng said patting Heng on the head

"Your right" Heng said still looking at Cheng with a worried expression but soon got up to eat

"I don't like that he's so worried about this girl he barely know she could be dangerous" Yu Wang said his expression grime

"Calm down Wang she's just a kid, and if she really is dangerous we'll take care of it" Li Feng reipled patting Yu Wang on the back

Li Feng arrived at the table where Heng was eating and put down a plate of food

"Here you should eat more" Li Feng said smiling

"Brother stop, I'm going to become fat if you feed me so much and where did Wang go?" HEng said pouting

"He left he had some business to take care off"

Heng nodded before continuing to eat.

After about 2 hours Cheng woke up. She looked around the room in a daze wondering where she was, the last thing she remembered was the thugs. She tried to get up only to realize that her body had no energy. She finally looked around and seeing some food she decided that she would already be dead if they wanted it so the food probably wasn't poisoned. So she ate the food and after eating she finally got up and looked around after noticing the door wasn't locked she quickly got out and started running. Before she got far she ran into someone.

"Cheng your awake" Heng said helping the girl up

"Mister?" Cheng asked after seeing Heng

"That's me but my name is Li Heng not mister haha" Heng said giggling

"Oh I'm sorry" Cheng replied embarrassed

"It's fine, but where were you off to?" Heng asked

"I thought I was kidnapped by thugs so I was running away, but how did I get here anyways?" Cheng replied even more embarrassed

Heng then explained everything about how he saw her getting kidnapped then went to get people to help, then about how they formed and did the plan to rescue her.

"Wow that's amazing but you didn't need to do so much we barely know each other after all" Cheng said with a sad expression

"Even if we didn't know each other I would of still helped, it's a human life I'm saving after all"

"Thank you so much" Cheng said tears forming in her eyes

After calming Cheng down Heng explained that she could work in his home as a chief apprentice if she liked or she could go back to her old home.

"Of course you would get paid and after you get some money and after you gather yourself you could also leave or stay if that's what you want" Heng explained

"I'll be staying for a while then since it's still too dangerous for me to go back, again thank you for everything" Cheng said tearing up again

"No need to tear up again and were not doing much just giving you a job" Heng replied embarrassed at Cheng's constant thanks and tears

Cheng ndded wiping away her tears. Heng then helped Cheng back to the room she woke up in to have her get some more rest while he walked back to his room to also get some rest for the night.
