The next day Layla was out helping Maddie to get some hair supplies that she needed at the salon, and when she came back to the salon, she recognized one of her father's cars parked in the parking lot of the salon.

Layla was shocked to find her father's car there. What was he doing there? Why does he so badly want to talk to her? She saw his calls the few times that he tried to call her last night and she deliberately didn't answer.

She doesn't know why he wants to speak to her and she doesn't care.

She thought of turning back and hiding somewhere until her father had left but Maddie needs the hair product she went to buy.

So Layla took a few deep breaths before she pushed open the glass door of the salon. Maddie came to meet her at the door. "You have a visitor," she said in a hushed tone.

"I figured," Layla said as her eyes went to her father who was sitting at the reception of the salon.
