Third Person's POV
"I did, thank you," the young lad replied with a nod. "I'll be heading out soon, but I'd appreciate a meal before I go."
"Of course, have a seat, and I'll bring you something to start your day."
The young lad chose a small table by the window, where he could see the town coming to life outside. As he waited, he went over the route in his mind. The temple was a few hours' walk from Vaeri, through dense woods that were said to be as ancient as the temple itself. The thought of what he might find there, hidden away from the eyes of the world, filled him with a quiet excitement.
The innkeeper soon brought him a plate of warm bread, cheese, and fruit, along with a steaming mug of tea. "This should give you the strength you need for whatever journey you've got planned," she said with a knowing smile.
