Chapter 1: Jennie Tragic Story

I was running towards the attic none stop but I was too late , blood spilled everywhere the sight was so horrifying . My eyes traced the blood to were it was coming from. I pushed the crouch to see who it was.

My mom.

I bent down. My eyes wet , hot tears run down my cheeks . I don't want to even believe it was her but I can't change anything it was her I slightly remove her hair from her face to see for myself. I was crying out loud I was shaking there was nothing I can do to bring her back she can't even answer me .

A creaky sound made me look back. It was my step sister Valerie . She is the only one who could have done this .

I sprang up on my feet about to disfigure the life out of her with my fingers soon someone came in .

He was so tall and huge he was wearing a mask and was holding my four years old sister Pearl by the neck .

" Pearl " I took a step forward

" I won't take a step if I were you so that little Pearl won't go squeez squeeze." She said in a mocking tune . Her legs was off the ground poor Pearl she can't even speak because her neck was held tight by the man on mask .

" Please leave her out of this, she didn't do anything am sorry " . I said still crying I can't even hear myself.

" You three made my life a living hell am just returning the favour " .

" Please leave her alone I will do anything . We will leave and never return " .

She smiled devilishly

" I don't think so " .

She quickly brought her gun and shot Pearl .

Right in my very own eyes, I saw my beautiful sister in her own pool of blood lifeless .

I was just standing stiff or let me say dumb . I could only hear the howling wind.

" Pe ....pe...pp..rl "

I fell on my knees. I don't even know what to do. I found myself crying and laughing at the same time.

I took Pearl in my hands , an innocent little girl who knew nothing but play . Her fingers were cold and turning blue I took them in my eyes crying but I can't hear myself . She was looking at me with those blue eyes that shot wide open. I covered her eyes and looked at my mom the most beautiful woman in the world. I crawled to were she was . I don't know what to do. I looked around the attic there was smell of blood in the air . Maybe I'll be the next to die and it will be very good , what's the use of living.

The almighty answered my prayer the door cracked open and my foster father came in looking drunk or so. He shut the door behind him and walked towards where I stood . My breath cut up in my throat as he removed his shirt.

He grabbed me by the arm .

" You should remove yours also " He said in a husky voice .

My eyes grew wide .

" Let go of me you stupid idiot ! " His daughter was as cruel as him .

" Stubborn girl " . He grabbed my dress about to tear it.

I shouted at the top of my lungs . Even if am going to die I don't want to die like this or get raped by this loser . I heard the tearing of fabric .

I manage to break free from his grip but he was too fast he grabbed my arm and bent it backwards making me groan in pain . I saw something gleaming in the dark at the corner of my eye.

It was an hourglass.

He grabbed a hand full of my hair about to lean in the crook of my neck when I broke the hourglass on his head. I quickly pick up the sharpest part of the broken glass and stabbed the life out of him none stop.

He fell on my shoulder dead and I pushed him off .

The door , it was opened . I wore his shirt and ran away into the night as fast as I can .
