The Citadel taught twenty-one subjects, and Doran attended all of them, so the prince's schedule was quite full.

On the first day of the week he attended two classes in the morning and three in the afternoon, those classes were, in order: Smithing & Metalworking, Politics & Statecraft, Coin Mastery, History, and Known Tongues.

The second day of the week was the busiest, Doran attended seven classes which is the maximum number of classes taught in one day. He started the day with Holy Tradition followed by Warcraft, Engineering & Construction, Alchemy, Medicine, Astronomy, and Astrology.

The third day of the week was more relaxed, the prince only attended two classes: Higher Mysteries and Administration.

On the fourth day he attended four classes: Geology, Geography, Wildlife & Nature, and Agriculture.

And on the fifth day he attended Philosophy, and Ravenry.

Teachers not only give a single lesson a week in each subject, the lessons are repeated several times throughout the week with a max of seven times.

The last two days of the week were more focused on the practices of the subjects taught and on research.

Doran spends those days focusing on his martial training, since he only has time to train for two hours early in the morning with Lothar before the start of his classes.

Doran's pace was considered crazy by his classmates and teachers; most students attend between five and ten classes a week, which is considered the standard. But Doran's insane pace isn't entirely unheard of, there have been similarly dedicated students in the past.

Aemon Targaryen, brother of King Aegon V, attended eighteen lessons a week. Prince Vaegon, son of Jaehaerys I, not only attended all the subjects but even attended the lessons that interested him the most two or three times, his record was 35 lessons in a week which is the maximum number of lessons you can attend in a week. Maester Wulfric, one of the Maesters serving House Martell, attended sixteen lessons a week. And Princess Dorna during her time studying at the Citadel attended nineteen lessons a week.

So Doran's rhythm is not unheard of, neither is his age because his grandmother was eight years old when she started studying at the Citadel, and there were other students as young as him. Archmaester Pycelle began his studies at the age of six and Maester Marwyn began his studies at the age of five.

Some of his friends tried to keep up with him for the first few days but quickly gave up. Doran encouraged them to attend only the classes that interest them the most, telling them that forcing themselves to attend classes they have no interest in will only ruin their desire to learn. They listened to his advice.

Lewyn initially only attended Warcraft and Known Tongues but lately his interest in History has been piqued. Doran is sure that his uncle just wants to learn more about history to read in more detail the stories of the battles of yore. The prince saw his uncle looking for books on the history of the old Harpy Empire, Doran understands his interest as the Ghiscari have a rich military history. Their legions were some of the best in the world, the Valyrians had big problems beating them and they only won their wars thanks to their dragons.

But the Valyrians learned their lesson and spent more time training their legions, eventually making them the best in Essos.

Michael attends History, Administration, Politics & Statecraft, and Coin Mastery. Doran quickly figured out the reason: Michael wants to prepare for his role as Lord Toland.

Theodan on the other hand chose more varied classes, the younger Toland attends Known Tongues, Ravenry, Philosophy and Warcraft.

Luca, who was devastated to learn of the lack of arts-focused subjects, chose Known Tongues, Geography, and History.

"Wait my prince!"

Doran hurried up ignoring the screams of the Rowan boy whose name he didn't even bother to remember. His two years at the Citadel were wonderful, but they had their downsides. The ass lickers being the biggest. Doran doesn't mind talking to his classmates, in fact it is something he is looking for, the prince wants to form ties with the future maesters of Westeros to start his spy network.

What bothers him are some of the noble children who are only in the Citadel to form alliances and friendships, since almost all Dornish Houses send a child to study with their prince many lords have taken the opportunity to send their own children to the Citadel to form friendships with Dornish Houses, especially the Martells.

Doran took advantage of this to bond with quite a few Houses but to his annoyance he also got some stalkers. Children who do not know how to take no for an answer and follow him everywhere, not letting him study in peace.

The boy Rowan is a distant cousin of Lord Rowan and he has been following him to his classes for several months, it is quite obvious that he does not pay attention to the lessons and just wants to get Doran's attention but being the boy a noble the teachers can not do anything.

`Fanboys and stalkers, the things I thought I will not have to worry about anymore`

Doran turns down a corridor and enters the first room, closing the door carefully so as not to make a sound. He leans on it and waits until the boy walks past before leaving. When he hears the boy pass by he gets out and walks in the same direction he came from.

Today is the third day of the week and he already attended his two classes for the day so the prince has the rest of the day off.

Doran has been practicing the alohomora charm for quite some time and was finally able to do it successfully.

`Time to start exploring the hidden rooms`

The prince spent time thinking about when would be the best time to sneak into those secret rooms, at first he thought of going at night but quickly discarded that option due to several factors.

The number one factor is his guards, Doran has two Martell guards guarding his bedroom door at all times during the night. Going out the window is not an option because his window has iron bars. Removing the bars and putting them back would take too much energy.

By day, however, he is free to roam the Citadel without an escort, which gives him much more freedom.

Another factor is that throughout the Citadel, at night, there are several patrols of guards and maesters who make sure that students don't wander where they shouldn't be. The prince didn't get a chance to study the patterns of the guards so going at night would be too risky.

`If I could use some camouflage spell it would be a different story...`
