Chapter 23: Encounter with Kaguya

Kyle was wobbling while doing his best to quickly escape before the last assassin, the leader of five men chase after him because he is sure that the man will not die in that explosion even if he was caught off guard. Kyle quickly vanished becoming a dot on the horizon.

Meanwhile, back to where the mega explosion occurred, you could see a charred ground with lots of dead trees on the around.

Suddenly from within those dead trees, a sound was heard.

Bang!

A figure shot out, this figure looks extremely miserable, it was a man dressed in a red robe, the robe in question was in tatters, half of the Mask covered the man face has disappeared showing his pale white face.

This man is the leader of the five men squad, he is now completely furious because he was caught unprepared, he didn't manage to come out unscathed from the mega explosion, to save his life he has choose to pay a heavy price, now here he is, in this state with a missing arm, his left arm is completely gone, missing from the elbow.

Luckily he is a duel daggers wielder, otherwise, it would be impossible to continue this mission. No, this has become a personal vengeance, he knows that with the loss of four men, he must quickly report back to his leader, like that they will prepare countermeasure, planning how to deal with Kyle abnormality.

~Kaguya Pov

In another location not too far from Kyle's current location was a lone figure silently walking. This figure is a beautiful girl, a goddess class beauty. Well, she is not too far from that level. Naturally, it is Kaguya Mio Sakura.

" Ah !" I small sigh escaped from my mouth. It seems that lately, I have been sighing a lot, I hope it won't become a habit.

Seriously, the reason why I'm sighing is not too difficult to guess. Well, it is because of Kyle, I can't help but think about him every passing second. I desperately want to see, my mind is a little confused, I'm walking around aimlessly. I know that by now I should already meet the others.

However, I didn't do it. I wanted to see Kyle at least once, before searching for Emea and the others, maybe after seeing him I can calm down a little.

I smiled thinking about him. By now I have completely fallen for him.

Suddenly, there is a noise, I instantly unsheathed Yukihime, that the name of my katana, I prepared myself, ready to attack the thing that will come from the other side, and I saw a man silhouette, the man in question was injured, his black robe was in tatters, the man long black hair covered his face making impossible for me to clearly see his face, but when the man looked in my direction, I saw pair of beautiful crimson eyes.

Yukihime fell from my hands, I covered my mouth while I started trembling, my heart aches, I'm furious, who dare to do this man? My man.

Yes, the man in front of me that is almost falling is Kyle whom I wanted to meet more than anything. Calming down my rage, I sprinted towards him while shouting his name.

"Kyle"

He looks at me and smiled, but suddenly he expression changed and yelled at me saying.

" Quickly escape Ms. Kaguya. "

I didn't listen to him, how could I escape after seeing your current state? Don't joke with me. While inwardly thinking that I continued to sprint towards him, only a few steps and I could rescue him but suddenly I froze, I couldn't move anymore, I started trembling again but this time It is because I smell death, I'm filled with fear, an extreme fear as if I have be locked in place by a prehistoric beast that is about to devour me, my legs started shaking because the thing behind my back killing intent.

I know this type of killing intent, it is an assassin killing intent, someone that has killed a lot of people. I have once felt this type of killing intent when I was ten years old, I was almost been killed by an assassin hired to eliminate me, luckily my mother intervened killing the assassin, and now another assassin came but I'm sure I'm not the target but just collateral.

Ah! now I understand why Kyle yelled at me earlier, it was to protect me. Slowly but surely I felt the reaper blade coming to claim my life I can't even move. I'm glad that I managed to see once more. Farewell, my beloved Kyle.

Suddenly, Kyle who was almost falling vanished and reappears behind me used his back to protect me by wrapping his arms around me. I heard the sound of blade penetrating through a flesh, probably Kyle backs, and I knew that Kyle took the blade in my place.

I turned around and look at his face, Kyle face was extremely pale, suddenly he spurts blood from his mouth, the blood falls on my face, a little went into my mouth, strangely it tastes sweet like honeydew, I started feeling heat also I'm feeling aroused. Nevertheless, I managed to look behind Kyle and I was startled, behind Kyle was a one-armed man, he looks extremely miserable, his red robe was in tatters, he used his remaining arm to pierce Kyle back with a red dagger.

The one-armed man said, " I finally got you, die."

He wanted to continue attacking but suddenly Kyle turned around and ordered in an extremely cold voice " Kill yourself ".

As if he became a robot, the one-armed man retired the red dagger from Kyle back and plunged it in his own heart. He killed himself on Kyle's order, when I look at Kyle's face, I started shivering because the current Kyle look too frightening as if he was a different person, his crimson eyes were shining, his expression was ice cold.

Those eyes I have heard about them somewhere before, but now it, not the time to think about that.

Kyle suddenly says, " Sorry, Kaguya you will have to take care of the rest. ". After saying that he lost consciousness falling into my hands.

After calming down, with Kyle on back I chose a quiet place to erect my tent and I placed Kyle on my bed, I'm also extremely tired, I instantly felt asleep beside him, I'm happy.
