Chapter 4 The strongest Saiyan

A serpentine blade meets a great ax in a flurry of blows, black sparks of lightning fly off the blackened straight sword after each exchange. One would usually believe that the power of an ax would overcome the speed of a straight sword. This was not the case, a statement of blindingly fast swings met in a crescent no side proving superior. At least until the sword extends to an unprecedented length pushing the ax and its user 30 feet back, ending the exchange.

"That sword's ability is cheating Scorz," Borgos complains.

"No I think you're just jealous," I replied back with a cocky smirk rushing back in with my black blade executing a flurry of strikes with grace I didn't have a week ago.

It's been less than a week since the Salamander raid and the situation got out of hand quickly. Apparently, as soon as we got back we all received a firm warning to follow orders to the letter, it was Bardock's idea to disobey orders to go fight. He was the only one to receive punishment, but he doesn't seem to care too much about losing 35% of his pay for this mission. However the whole squad was basically grounded though, we haven't even had a scouting mission after disobeying orders.

What didn't make sense to me is it's a damn war and Frieza's pushing for us to take over this planet as fast as possible. So for six Saiyans to take out a base with 5 Captain class fighters should be praised. I think I'm finally starting to see the racism Borgos keeps telling me about. But nevertheless, I made the most of the 'vacation' that we were awarded. I approached the only weapon user on the team for a few lessons on swordsmanship. Seeing as how I never wielded a sword in my last life, I really needed a few pointers.

Surprisingly Borgos turned it into a whole training camp, running me ragged day after day. There were only a few rules, no physical blows, no ki attacks, and purely swordplay. The results showed through as I can deflect his heavy blows with a mere twist of the wrist right into a lightning-fast counter stab. I was honestly surprised seeing his weapon mastery overwhelm me knowing my power surpasses his, not to mention my swords grade and Haki. I could've used my daggers to immediately take control but that wasn't the point of the camp. The results spoke for themselves as even my power level shot up along with my sword skills.

Weapon training with Borgos made my dexterity explode, as well as some minor gains in endurance. Now I'm comparable to base Saiyan saga Goku, but with my Haki and newly mastered blade skills, I think I could hold my own against him even if he uses Kaio-ken.

Embarrassingly I completely forgot about the quest rewards for the Salamander temple, I didn't realize until I leveled up after doing my daily training quest. The rewards were definitely exciting, however.

I don't know what the gift pack is but it was deposited straight into my new inventory, it's going to prove indefinitely seeing as how I'm already carrying my main weapon and my daggers as my backup. I'm planning on opening the gift after we finish this training session.

For another hour Borgos and I trade countless strikes at an inhuman speed. I'm honestly surprised his ax hasn't cracked yet because of how much Haki I'm putting into my sword. I'm on the verge of another breakthrough in Armament, It's already at level 24, and with one more level I'm sure it will evolve into an even stronger skill. But sadly today was not the day for that considering both of us are drenched in sweat and exertion signaling the end of this spar.

"Good work today kid, I can confidently say you're almost as good with the sword as you are with daggers. Keep going through your blade exercises and you should be a master before long" Borogos said with a smirk between breaths.

"Thank you honestly, I wouldn't have made half this much progress on my own."

"It's nothing much, I feel like I gained just as much as you from the training," Borgos said excitedly. 'He's not wrong though his power shot up almost 500 points after this week'. He waved bye before walking off back towards camp. Finally alone with my thoughts, I can finally open the gift pack I've been saving. It has a minor description of what I should expect, one weapon, one healing-based item, and one random ability from any universe.

"HOLY SHIT!" I can't help but say out loud as I feel a huge change take over my body, seconds later my senses expand and I can feel the hidden energy that this planet exudes. Subconsciously the energy begins rushing to my body and perfectly melding with my KI. If anybody was around they wouldn't notice anything change, but then my eyes begin turning yellow and the pupil changes to a black line as a dark orange pigment appears around under my eyebrows. My power and sensing explode and I can barely handle all the new information that's rushing to my brain.

My power now sits at 16,000 but It's only a monetarily gain, I can only be this strong for a minute until I train it. But I know once I master it it'll be one of my best abilities, with a cocky smirk I draw my blade and run a half of my ki into it. The blackened blade lights with KI before I raise it above my head for a wide arcing slash.

"Sage art- DARKNESS SLASH" I yell out a move I created over this week, a large black Ki blade flies out carving everything for 100 meters in two. The only downside is it drains my ki and Haki reserve by half, but with the sage boost, I'm sure I can hit way above my weight class now.

I feel like I'm on top of the world until the natural energy runs out and I fall to a knee in surprise and exhaustion. 'Yeah, probably a good idea to train sage mode as soon as possible if I want to use it in actual combat' I can't help but think with a sigh.

On the bright side, Beats said it will only be a couple of weeks until he figures out how to modify the ship's gravity. never knew he was so smart but I guess when you're a non fighting Saiyan you have to find something else to be obsessed with.

At Least we still have a couple days left on punishment, hope the squad won't get too mad if I disappear for a day or two, I really need to find a way to lengthen Sage mode. If I had it against Hiroko I wouldn't have needed saving.

So with that in mind I fly off to find an oasis, it'd be perfect to gather natural energy and for sustenance.

'I've gotten extremely lucky in gaining abilities over my last couple missions, but it's a double edged sword considering the amount of time I have to invest in leveling the skills when I could be training my mind or physique. Not to mention changing my style of combat. At some point I'm going to have to make choices about what I'll add to my skill set and what I'll put away. My skill set right now is perfect for my level, almost all my abilities are boosting my strength and damage output.

The only way I can think to train my Sage mode would just be meditating constantly pushing and pulling the energy through me. I'm pretty sure once I get through the initial faze I'll be able to train my Haki at the same time. So with that in mind three days of complete seclusion began.

THREE DAYS LATER

In hindsight I was a little too enthusiastic about going away from civilization to grind my skills. Three days of eating nothing but ki blast cooked lizard was not fun, honestly it wouldn't have taken that long to stop at base and swipe some field packs but I didn't want to pause my progress.

It wasn't until the third day that my scouter went off sending over coordinates for the squad to meet up. With a smile I jump into the sky with excitement over the chance to try out my new strength. I've been gathering and releasing natural energy non stop for 16 hours a day, I still manage to find time to complete my daily training quest however. After the first day I was able to coat myself in Armament while gathering energy. My wisdom and endurance both exploded, not to mention my Haki and Sage Mode gains.

'All in all, I don't have anything to complain about, at the speed I move at now, 5 minutes in Sage mode is going to feel like an hour to my past self. Oddly I remember Naruto only being able to use sage mode for 5 minutes but I'm only at level 55 and I've already reached that limit. It may be possible to increase the time, but that will be something I'll have to figure out later.'

"Ha, I may be able to give Bardock a run for his money now" I can't help but say out loud with a chuckle.

I didn't realize it at first but the farther I flew the more I realized how close I'm getting to the enemy's main base. This does not look good, it makes no sense for us to attack the main force right now considering they're still over fifty temple bases still left on the planet. Hopefully it's just a recon mission otherwise this is going to hell.

Arriving to nothing but silence definitely raised my fears at least a little more than before.

"Ummm guys? Please don't tell me we're going anywhere near that army solo." I ask mildly scarred. All of them but Bardock turned to me with a bitter smile confirming my worries.

"The mission is to deal a big enough blow to get them to back off so Commander Blize can reorganize the force, apparently the last commander got killed on the spot because he wasn't rallying the force correctly." Bardock informed me.

"There's only six of us, what the hell do they expect us to accomplish?" Fasha adds in.

"To go Ozaru in the middle of the force, cause as much confusion and mayhem as possible before we get cut down." I give my thoughts honestly.

"That's what they want us to do, but that's damn sure not what we're actually gonna do." Bardock finishes with a cunning smirk easing the pressure on all of us.

"Anyone got any bright ideas, I have one or two but I'm open to suggestions?" Bardock asked curiously.

"Why don't we just all charge up like 90% of our ki into a blast and shoot it directly into their force?" I ask curiously, knowing they're not gearin up for a big assault yet we should be able to catch them off guard.

"Impossible, they'd sense something that big a mile away." Bardock shoots down my suggestion quickly.

"Not if we mask it just before we fire, it'll catch them completely flat footed. With your skill in KI control I'm sure you could pull that off boss. Then after that we run like crazy, gorilla warfare Saiyan style." I finish with a chuckle before I realize everyone is looking at me strangely.

"What?"

"Your smart kid, a different approach than what most would take. It's not a bad plan all things considered, the only worry is if I'd be able to hide that much Ki myself, I'd probably need you and Tora to stabilize it while I mask it after giving my energy." Bardock thinks with a hand over his chin.

"I mean it's risky but so is probably everything else we'd come up with." Borgos adds in thoughtfully.

"Fuck it let's do it, sounds epic as hell. It could be the Bardock squad's signature attack." Shugesh said giddy while everyone, including me, were looking at him in amusement.

"Shugesh. Shut up." Bardock said with a sigh.

"Alright guys let's do it, we're only about 40 miles from the main force so fly low." Everyone agrees before taking off into the sky.

10 minutes later the entire squad is on top of the largest sand dune in the area gaining an overview of an army numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

"That's a lot of enemies, I bet we can take out over a third of them though, 90% of that force is under 2,000." Bardock guessed while surveying the scene.

"Alright everyone let's get started, Scorz and Tora your up." Barack states causing me and Tora to start combing almost all of our energy in a blast before it stabilized.

"Ok everyone else steadyily add your energy while I try my best to keep in invisible to scouters."

Soon everyone's hands join together feeding the gigantic 40 meter wide ball of energy. With a smirk I began gathering natural energy and adding to the ball, soon the ball increased to 60 meters gaining rapids sparks all around it. If I had to guess this is the equivalent of a 300,000 level blast.

"Ok everyone get ready and FIRE!!" Bardock yells as Tora and I shoot the blast directly into the center of the camp with no one the wiser.

It could only be called an act of mass genoside, a huge mushroom cloud rose thousands of meters high signifying the crippling of the Cooler forces.

'F-f-fourteen million!?' I can't help but gawk. 'How much could I gain from a whole planet?' I can't stop the dark thought from taking root.

"STOP GAWKING AND MOVE YOUR ASS!" Bardock screams in my ear to get me moving. I take off at full speed heading straight back to camp, the enemy force has to be in complete disarray. We shouldn't have any pursuers anytime soon, they probably think they're getting attacked by our army so they'll most likely stay there and fortify their position.

"Ok everyone I think we've gotten away but just in case we're going to split up and go separate ways to throw any possible pursuers, same teams as last time. Be careful and radio in if there's a problem." Bardock said before we all split up taking different directions towards the same destination.

"That was pretty hot Scorz" Fasha whispered as she flew by me.

"What?" I asked, mildly uncomfortable.

"Your plan of course, over hundred thousand enemies killed by your plan. Any Saiyan women would get weak in her knees after that." She whispers in my ear before licking it. Then stoping and acting like nothing happened. 'What a fucking tease!'

Trying to get the mild annoyance in my pants to go down, my scouter surprisingly dings indicating an enemy approaching. I quickly turn back to see if Fasha got the same, it was easy to tell as her playful smile dropped.

"Three enemy's, all over 25,000 , 400 kilometers away and gaining slowly. This is not good kid, we've got to run and hopefully lead them to base the have the elites take care of them." Fasha said with a frown.

"We'd never make it, it's another hour until we could reach camp." I tell her honestly.

"Well then what the hell is the plan?" She asked, irritated.

"I didn't know I was the strategist." I retort back seriously.

"I should be able to win. None of them are over thirty thousand." I say with a smirk. 'Well as long as it only takes 5 minutes, then again I do have over eight hundred points. Fuck it, I'll only upgrade dexterity and vigor though because of how much longer it takes those to level up naturally.' With that in mind I put 200 points in both stats and my power level exploded.

"Just trust me, if you're scared you can go back to base without me, these guys just got lucky and pinged us with their scouters. You'll be fine going straight back." I tell her honestly, Coolers elites are still about 5 minutes out.

"Fine you crazy little bastard, don't die, I'll wait for you about 2 miles that way" she tells me with a quick smirk before kissing me on the cheek."good luck"

'How the fuck am I supposed to focus now' I think as I admire her ass cheeks giggle as she jumps into the sky.

'I don't know if it's the new body or just the excitement from the system but my whole body is screaming in excitement for the battle' I think to myself struggling to remain still enough to gather natural energy.

I can't help but smirk as Sage mode settles in boosting my power to over 80,000. Unless these guys are hiding their strength then I will easily kill them all. Before long three silhouettes come into the rocky clearing.

I stand with confidence, withdrawing Kusanagi out of my gauntlets. Looking up to meet my opponents I can't help but smirk at the challenge.

'Well shit, it's a good thing I used those points. That woman is stronger than Bardock' Iintone, eyeing the beautiful green haired Herian. The other two are fodder but I have to be careful of her.

"A lone swordsman miles away from base?" Ishi asked curiously.

"He's weak, the scouter only shows 9,000," Kaizo said with a tone of pure confidence.

"Saiyan, tell me. Were you the one that destroyed a third of our force?" Ringo asked with unrestrained anger, eyeing me suspiciously.

"And what if I am?" I ask oozing confidence. Noticing the increasing rage of Ishi.

"You dare speak to Dutchess Ringo in such a way, you are nothing but a mere peasant. Kneel before your betters you fucking monkey." The previous calm guy yells with mirth, spittle flying in every direction.

"That's a really funny one for a weakling like you to say." I said with a smirk as a dark aura explodes from my blade, causing the rocks and gravel in the area to begin to rise with my increasing power. Their scouters begin to go off like crazy trying to keep up with my rising power.

"Twenty.. thirty.. fifty.. oh my g-god it's over eighty THOUSAND." Kaizo said with a sinking realization that they're all going to die.

"That's impossible, nobody besides Lord Blize on should be that strong on this plan… GURGLE" Ishi tries to reason before the end of Kusangi extends peiring him through the throat in his distraction. 'Seriously, we're in a battle. Don't take your eyes off me.' With a twist of my wrist his head falls from his shoulders a river of blood spraying all over his two companions.

"NO ISHI!!!!" Kaizo screams in anger and fear watching his friend lose his life to nothing but a sleight of hand.

"Do all elites become so arrogant that they think they can take their eyes off their opponent and live." A voice whispers behind Kaizo shocking him greatly, he turns as fast as he can a ball of ki already materializing. It was too late however because as soon as he turned to shoot the blast he lost his arm in one slash, the next slash came as quick as the first decapatint the Cooler Elite.

"Who are you boy, you're powerful," Ringo asks, looking undisturbed with the loss of her comrades, battle list clearly visible in her green eyes.

"Just call me Scorz. You don't seem very troubled about losing your men." I state looking at her in caution. 'She knows my power is over 80,000 but she doesn't seem worried, either she has some type of transformation or she's confident in her skills.'

"That trash? I have no use for subordinates that get taken out in a single strike,"

"Sorry to cut this conversation short lady but I'm on a time limit," I only have another four minutes left before sage mode runs out, I need to stop messing around and take her out.

With that in mind I charge Half my Ki in my sword and dropping down into a drawing stance, before releasing my sword in a continuous slash pattern sending a massive amount of ki blades at her from all directions.

"Sage art: Continuous Slash"

Her eyes widen in worry as the first blade arrives, quickly going into evasive maneuvers she dives to the ground shooting blast to take out as many as she can.

The blades don't stop for over 3 minutes, continually beating the woman and her blasts down. I can feel my arm tiring and my Ki dropping below half before I end the technique, taking off at my fastest speed at her last known position.

I arrive quickly to the sight of the woman holding an injured arm leaking blood. She's trying to get a chance to catch her breath but I don't have the time to give.

In a flash I'm in her defense swinging my blade at her injured side, she ducks and dodges quickly before I throw one of my Daedric daggers right into her thighs. She stumbles lightly before sending a volley of blast at me trying to hold me back.

It doesn't work because now I know she's stationary shooting these blasts. I raise my blade into the air before my Haki ignites, black sparks flowing all around it as I slab it down with my full strength.

"Sage art:Darkness SLASH!!" I yell sending a 100 meter long slash directly into her Ki blast volley, ending the battle swiftly as the woman now lays in two pieces breathing her last breath. As soon as I realized the fight was over I dropped out of Sage mode causing me to stagger monetarily in exhaustion. 'Now that's perfect timing' I intone with a smirk.

"I finally reached it, I'm the strongest Saiyan. In two months at that. How long will it take me to become the strongest of the universe" I ask myself in excitement. Thinking of all the enemy's out in the galaxy it's going to be awesome to have these battles.
