SPLAT...
SPLAT....
SPLAT..
"How sure are you that this plan can work?" Bellamy questioned while pacing back and forth behind Wyatt.
On the ground in front of him, Wyatt could be seen sitting cross-legged. Judging by the large bulbs of sweat already forming on his forehead, it was obvious that Wyatt had been in the same position for a while and was fully focused on his plan.
After hearing Bel's question, Wyatt didn't even have the strength to reply. Instead, even more sweat was appearing as his face contorted in obvious discomfort.
Pushing his body to the limit, Wyatt managed to complete his task when another splat noise rang across the marble room. In front of Wyatt were a couple of vials that had just been filled up with his acidic touch ability.
PHEW
Using his shirt to clean off some of the built-up sweat, Wyatt finally let his body relax before responding to Bellamys earlier question.
"Maybe 30%? I can't be sure because we haven't tried fighting Ergus before" he replied before chugging down a mana potion. He had just completed the most exhausting part of his plan, now he just needed to time everything correctly.
Hearing Wyatt's reply Bel couldn't help but have a slight frown. Obviously, he understood that a 30% chance of success was still better than a 100% chance of dying. Still, no one would like to hear such awful odds when it came to dying.
"Sigh... fine, so how about telling your plan already? I want to at least know how ill be dying" Bel stated with a light chuckle. Wyatt could tell by his voice that he was pretty nervous at the moment.
The fear of dying in game was obviously much lower compared to anything in real life. But despite this fact, due to how realistic the world of Primal online is and the fact that neither of them had died yet, even Wyatt could feel his nerves tense up.
Wyatt had been close to dying quite a few times already, like during the fight against Arken, or even more recently during the Myroc trials. Despite knowing this, both those previous times happened during last minute and quick planning moments. So Wyatt never really had a chance to digest his chances of success during those moments.
Calming himself down, Wyatt began explaining his plan to Bellamy.
"Those vials are filled with the same acid skill you witnessed earlier. Remember how when we entered the Arken boss room the doors behind us slammed closed?" Wyatt started, before getting a nod from Bel.
"My plan is actually pretty simple. Usually, these doors would be impossible to reopen during the boss battle due to how heavy they are. While it's true that we can't push the door open ourselves, I've already confirmed that the doors aren't coated in any protective mana"
"This means that my acid should be able to burn a large enough hole through the door for us to escape after entering. Of course, ill also have to keep Ergus distracted long enough for you to finish applying all the acid"
Bel Listened along while nodding his head, before stopping with a sudden question "Wait, if we make a hole to escape, doesn't that mean the boss can escape as well?"
"EXACTLY!" Wyatt declared
Hearing this, confusion flashed across Bel's face. Wyatt obviously noticed his teammate's odd look, so he quickly explained.
"After you finish creating the hole, I'll use Hysteria to force the boss to chase after us. After that, all we need to do is lead him toward Lukas and his team"
Bellamys expression quickly changed once again, except this time into an almost devilish grin "Hahaha, killing 2 birds with one stone huh? I can already imagine the rage in your little stalkers' eyes if we pull this off" With a chuckle, Bel completely calmed down and was ready to start the plan.
"Now we just wait until my mana and stamina replenish enough to distract and cast Hysteria on Ergus"
Roughly 40 minutes later the duo was once again staring at Ergus from beyond the door.
"Ready to put your little fans to good use?" Asked Bel with another hearty chuckle.
With this, they both stepped forward into the boss's room.
BOOM
Just like they expected the large door quickly slammed closed behind them, closing off the only exit from the room. Since neither of them was fazed by this, Wyatt quickly launched forward to get the boss's attention.
Wyatt had already given all the vials of acid to Bel, So he only needed to focus on his own mission for the time being. The duo had already planned to use all the acidic vials on only one of the doors because they wanted to guarantee Ergus could fit through the hole.
On the flip side, before entering Bel had already cast every speed and agility buff he could muster onto Wyatt.
Wasting no time, Wyatt appeared in front of Ergus before launching his chakrams forward coated with his lightning.
CLINK CLINK
Much to Wyatt's dismay, both of his chakrams simply bounced right off the dark red scales covering his opponent. Finally realizing he was under attack, Ergus began to open his lifeless eyes.
ROAARRRRR
The creepy sound of the chimera's teeth grinding together, combined with the massive tail loudly dragging against the floor as he stood up helped Ergus give off an almost dominating presence.
After the complete failure of his last attack, Wyatt already knew this boss's scales are harder than the lizard creature he first fought while entering the chimera den. With this being the hardest defense Wyatt had faced till this point, he mentally prepared himself for Perhaps his most challenging battle so far.
Without giving Ergus another second to prepare, Wyatt launched forward.
