Power Trumps All (COMPLETE)

My life is complicated. My powers are complicated. The world I've found myself in isn't making my situation any easier too. The arrowverse is not as terrifying as some of the other screwed up worlds in the multiverse, but when you have people like Harrison wells running around and a more realistic spin to the Flash' rogue gallery...Power is the only way to save your ass. So that is what I'll strive for...Power Unending. *Cover pic ain't mine.

(Jin's P.O.V)

Zoren's technique to enable spiritual entities to interact with the physical world was in a simple word, remarkable. A number of biological processes could be imitated to stop the feeling of disorientation. Beathing was easy even though I possessed no lungs to do the same. My soul tricked my mind into believing that air  was getting funneled into my body. It wasn't easy to keep it up and in a fight situation I had to split my attention and focus to keep up the technique but it was worth it.

I could feel the sensations whenever my skin touched something. That also meant pain was very much present and also welcome. Pain keeps you attentive and careful. In a way all these things culminated into a state of being that didn't feel all that different from how I was before. The difference being I could fight a hundred of past me without breaking a sweat. I mean at my very base, any of my spells could wipe out a city.

That's besides the point. Zoren's technique was a godsend and that was because it allowed me a little bit of control over my abundant power and was the foundation for what would be the derived version of water sense. Yes, I created a technique similar to Observation Haki. Well, it was actually more similar to Pesquisa, a hollow ability to sense the surroundings by pulsing it's energy out and then looping it back to its self to read the feedback.

The evolved version would be similar to Observation Haki, a passive ability that would provide a better range and read clearer than my water sense. That was the advantage my derived ability had over water sense. I just needed to turn it into a passive one. Anyway this skill helped me immensely and dare I say…it was the only reason why I didn't die once I started my 'get a body' mission.

I didn't overestimate my power I swear and infact my vigilance proved helpful in escaping…argh! I'm getting ahead of myself. Maybe I should start from the top.

"Ok. I'm ready."

I told Zoren while holding a metallic plaque that glowed with energy.

"Did you have to make it yellow?"

I asked him. I really hated the color. Doesn't he know that blue is the king of all colors?

"Yes. Now stop nagging. I had to use the last stash of orichalcum we had left. The color is mostly due to the formations constructed to work as it's core processor."

The device was a scanning instrument. I needed it for my first step. The crazy part was that Grand Master Zoren and I had practically created something that worked on scientific principles.

I could have done it all by myself but sadly…I hadn't retained my Thinker abilities like the other abilities. There was a chance it was on lock due to my not possessing a brain. That was a problem for future me however. Right now, my plan was to get a body. And not just any body mind you…oh no. I was going to pull out all the stops.

The tablet vanished into my inventory, which was actually just a dimension with size alteration and temporal suspension runes attached to my main world like Logan's prison had been. I hesitate to say it's size was infinite but it was ever expanding. With a nod towards Zoren I disappeared and found myself in one of the most memorable worlds of my childhood.

A world belonging to one of the few mortal heroes who could beat Superman with barely any effort while being a kid. I'm talking about Ben Tennyson. The air was fresh and the sky was starry. Shining with possibilities unknown to all but a few highly trained humans known as Plumbers. Ben's grandfather was one of them. They protected the earth against extra-terrestrial invaders and other mysterious stuff.

I was here to scan the Omnitrix. I needed to get the blueprints on it's inner mechanism. The way it stored d.n.a samples and also allowed Ben to shift his d.n.a into various aliens was going to be helpful. It's Scanning function was much more powerful than the tablet's too so basically it was killing 3 birds with one stone.

If that was the only thing I was after however...it would have been pretty easy to just access the Omnitrix before Ben got to it in the first scene. Unfortunately for my piece of mind - it wasn't. I was near a city having aimed to be as close to Ben's location as possible. My dimensional travel ability was op. All I had to do is picture a world and pull on the tug and voila I would find myself where and when I wanted.

I pulsed out my awareness and felt the aura of a group of people as well as a hub of unidentifiable energy a few miles away. I teleported and found myself in between 3 groups and an individual I immediately pegged as Kevin Levin, an Osmosian whose d.n.a I wanted to scan badly. He was also the reason why I hadn't gone for just the Omnitrix and left.

"Who?"

Ben asked dumbly, peeking from his cover.

"Greetings humans and aliens alike. Sorry to barge in like this, please don't mind me."

I said while calmly walking towards Kevin. The guy in question reacted quickly and touched the concrete floor. I watched interestedly while sensing what was happening with my energy. His body was changing into the material he had touched.

"What is this!?"

The leader of the forever knights exclaimed before he motioned and the guys in armor took the level 5 weapons and started firing at me.

The salvo of energy beams met a shield and was absorbed promptly.

"Shooting to kill? Not very honorable for knights."

The words left my mouth as I took control of the ground beneath their feet, burying them all leaving only their heads above the ground. The other group of people changed into DNAliens, a hybrid formed when a xenocite, a type of parasitic alien bonds to a hosts. They were used by Highbreeds as the grunts and I absolutely detested them.

I didn't hurt them because I knew underneath the exterior they were still sapient beings trapped inside. That didn't mean I was going to let them get anywhere near me. I formed a swirling ball of wind above my palm then shot it towards them. The wind ball exploded throwing them away.

"Yaaah!"

Kevin picked up a metal beam and threw it at me. Obscuring my vision enough that he quickly ran forwards and jumped at me. The metal beam stopped before my eyes and I flicked a finger, telekinetically batting Kevin away with the beam. He went flying away after the smack. The wind grabbed his form and stopped him mid air, well within my control. I gently flew forward to the grunting Osmosian and stopped.

"Man, if only you could win fights by glaring."

I told him referencing his scowl.

"Bite me, you bastard."

He spat out making me whistle.

"What an attitude. Remember you're the one who attacked me kid. This is all in self defense."

"Oh yeah...let me down and we'll see how much you can actually defend from my fists."

I rolled my eyes.

"Ok."

"What..."

He looked surprised for a second before I smirked and let him go.

"Aaahhhhhhh"

I laughed a little and winced at the impact he made. He was fine of course.

I floated down at his body while he groaned in pain, mumbling something about unfairness or something. The tablet appeared in my hands and I tapped the lone app on the screen. A light shot out of it's back and scanned Kevin. I then read the words on the screen and sighed in exasperation.

[Subspecies of human. Complex d.n.a signature detected]

Just like I'd thought, the tablet wasn't advanced enough to scan and bank d.n.a signatures from a being. I was going to have to take a piece of d.n.a sample from Kevin. Just before I could cut a piece of his hair, a fireball exploded in my face - doing absolutely nothing. I let my guard down for a second and because Pesquisa wasn't a passive ability that hit had connected. I couldn't wait for the time I developed Observation Haki.

"Well that's rude. I thought you lot were the good guys."

Swampfire had a 'oh shit' look on his face at the lack of damage from his attack.

"By the authority of the Plumbers I order you to step back. You're in violation of code 888763."

Magister Labrid, I think his name was, said. I fully turned back to the three.

Swampfire had gotten over his shock and was now standing threateningly Infront of his cousin, Gwen. The girl in question had an annoyed look on her face at his overprotective nature and by their side, holding a gun and a Plumber badge was a fish like alien in a glass helmet looking at me menacingly.

"Let me guess, that code is meant for aliens who illegally enter the planet. What makes you think I'm an alien?"

"He's got a good question there Magister. He's not the only human with powers running around. I've come across many during my childhood."

Swampfire told the Alien Plumber who didn't look unsure for even a second.

"My scanner is able to detect the energy levels of powerful devices. This entity Infront of us is emmiting a plus level 10 energy level, which is the limit of my scanner. Trust me Tennyson. He.Is.Not.Human."

"Ok. I'm offended, I'll have you know I used to be human up and until recently so I still hold sentiment about that. But you're right... I'm not actually from around here but."

I stopped and the look on my face changed. My expression becoming hard.

"Don't confuse me with your run of the mill supernatural creatures. I am not your average alien...and I get tired of this farce."

The trigger of Magister Labrid's gun refused to move when he pressed it, having sensed that I was done playing. Everybody stopped, only breathing was allowed. I calmly turned back to Kevin and cut a lock of his hair, drained a bit of his blood and sent the samples to my inventory.

I then walked Infront of Swampfire and with a tap on his watch icon, reverted him to basic Ben. I brought the Tablet close to the recalibrated form of the Omnitrix and scanned it. With a beep, the scan of the level 20 device was done but the tablet was yet to decode the blue-prints. Inside my mind, I was wondering why the tablet worked on the Omnitrix but failed on Kevin. Then I felt like slapping myself. You can't use a tv remote on a microwave. The tablet was meant for technology not for scanning biological beings.

I looked at the estimated time it would take for the Tablet to decode the Omnitrix's build and winced. 50 years. Well at least I have an accomplished Grand Master of magic and myself, a runecraft prodigy to quicken the process. It would have been easier if I'd just taken the Omnitrix and jumped from world to world scanning strong beings for their d.n.a but I had 2 reasons why I hadn't done it.

The first reason, I had an aversion to using powers from outside sources. After the whole System debacle I had promised myself I would only trust my personal power. The second reason was, bruh, I'm a spiritual entity, the Omnitrix worked in the principle of changing your d.n.a through the cordon stream into another d.n.a. Thus it wouldn't even work on me.

I finished up with Ben and approached Gwen. She was a Human/Anodite hybrid and her Anodite form was much more pronounced than her cousin's. What made her desirable to me was how she could shed her human form to become an energy being not unlike me. I also took a bit of hair and blood from her.

"Thanks a lot for that and bye."

I told them and then released them. I didn't stick around to hear what they had to say and teleported back to my universe.

Phase one was complete. Phase two is gonna be like stealing candy from a baby. Oh how wrong I was.
