Rescue Operation

After a few minutes of interrogation, the grunt revealed everything he knew. Unfortunately, there's only so much that he knew about. Classified information isn't something he knows.

Nevertheless, Farlan and the others were able to gather a few clues to speculate on the situation.

For some reason, Zapdos was sighted in this forest and the grunts were ordered to exhaust Zapdos of its energy through numbers advantage and technology. Indeed, they were able to nearly exhaust Zapdos but it was still able to escape, allowing some trainers passing by to catch sight of the legendary pokemon.

Nevertheless, it couldn't have escaped far enough. It should still be within this forest.

Had their first attempt been successful, they could have contained news from leaking out to the public. Rumors of Team Rocket's actions and Zapdos' presence on Cerulean Forest spread like wildfire on Saffron City, attracting reckless trainers hoping to witness the legendary pokemon themselves.

Team Rocket captured these trainers to prevent news from spreading further, at least, until they captured Zapdos.

A Team Executive named Landrick is leading this operation. He ordered the capture of the trainers around the forest. Among the trainers captured are the Karate Master and the Black belters.

The Karate Master and the Black Belters were strong which forced the Team Rocket to exhaust their strengths. Despite all that, they were still captured due to exhaustion since Team Rocket took advantage of their numbers.

Currently, Team Rocket built a camp in the centermost area of the forest. The captives are imprisoned there too.

As for how they will deal with the captives, the grunt didn't know. Perhaps, only Landrick knows.

"Should we contact Officer Jenny and the local police?" A Dojo member said.

"With all the buzz right now, I'm sure they're already investigating the forest. But you're right. We should at least tell them about the captives and Team Rocket's goal" Another dojo member replied.

He then grabbed his phone from his pocket and called Saffron City Officer Jenny's number and told her about their findings.

However, it seemed that their findings were unnecessary. Currently, Officer Jenny is investigating the forest and received information earlier than they did. After all, as the local police officer, she had to be quick on the news about the happenings on and near the city.

"We have the numbers but our numbers pale in comparison to Team Rocket's" Farlan said as he looked at Folker.

Folker nodded and replied "I think we should wait for nightfall and use the cover of the night as our advantage to sneak out"

Farlan looked at the Dojo members and shook his head as he said "That works but our numbers are too big for a sneaky operation"

"How about we split into small groups?" Chelsea suggested.

Farlan rubbed his belly for a few seconds before he nodded and said "Let's do that. Let's divide ourselves into 11 groups of five. 5 groups are responsible for distraction while 2 groups are responsible for rescuing the captives. The rest will protect the rescuers"

The Dojo members nodded in agreement. They then further planned their course of action and divided themselves into small groups.

Naturally, Folker teamed up with Farlan and Chelsea while the rest grouped themselves into five.

As the most versatile team, Folker's group is responsible for overseeing the operation. Farlan will issue commands while Folker will utilize his aura powers with Lucario to the fullest to see through the whole situation.

Chelsea will not use Zoroark on this operation since this involves Team Rocket. She trusts Folker and Farlan but not the Dojo members.

It's not that the Dojo members are not trustworthy but they are rather easy to manipulate.

...

When night fell, the Dojo members gathered in groups.

"Alright. Let's start the Rescue Operation!" Farlan said as he looked at the Dojo members.

The Distraction group then rushed forward, trying to attract as much attention as possible.

Meanwhile, within the camp, there are multiple organized black tents with a few patrolling pairs of grunts.

"If this mission is successful, my promotion is within sight"

"Lucky for you. I still have to do a few missions before I catch the eye of an Elite Officer"

"Hahaha, you'll get there eventually"

Suddenly, sounds of explosions reverberated near their camps. The two grunts looked at each other before they nodded and rushed to the direction of the sound.

When they arrived they saw men in white Karate uniform surrounding a few grunts as they attacked them.

Their arrival caught the attention of the Dojo members and attacked them immediately.

"What's going on!?"

"We're being attacked! Notify the others! I'll hold them back for a moment. Quick!"

The other grunt rushed back to notify the others while the other grunt stayed behind to delay the Dojo members. It didn't take long before he was captured by the Dojo members.

The captured grunts were stripped naked of their uniform and tied to nearby trees.

Shortly afterwards, reinforcements arrived and fought the Dojo members.

Slash! Bang! Boom!

Sounds of clashing metals, colliding metals, and cries of pokemon reverberated on the battlefield as Dojo members faced off with the grunts.

At first, the Dojo members had the upper hand but when more reinforcements arrived, their battle went on to a stalemate.

Unbeknownst to the grunts, however, there were figures in Team Rocket uniform who sneaked inside the camp.

Meanwhile, in the largest tent of the camp, a green haired man in black Team Rocket uniform sat on a chair with his hand on the desk. In front of the dark-green haired woman in a red dress with yellow buttons and black boots stood with a smile.

"Took them longer than expected. I hope you don't interfere" Landrick said as he lit up a cigarette in his mouth.

The woman chuckled as she sat on the bench and replied "No matter what, I'm still the Gym Leader of Saffron City. Don't worry, I'll hold back"

Landrick sighed as he looked at the woman in front of him.

"Come on, don't be like that. Give me some leeway, won't you? You're part of Team Rocket, after all" Landrick said.

"My job description didn't mention anything like that so.. Good luck to you" Sabrina grinned as she walked away.
