Confession

12th December 1994

Kanto Region, Route 1:

"Charmander, Ember once again!" Red ordered.

"Nidoran, Dodge the attack!" Joey ordered.

Unfortunately, Nidoran wasn't able to dodge the attack and got hit by the flower of flames and therefore got knocked out.

Red sighed as he called back the energetic Charmander.

"This is my 15th win for the week," Red said to himself and walked to Joey, "That was a nice battle,"

Joey, A brown haired boy with deep blue eyes stared at Red and then a smile flashed on his face.

"Yeah, It really was," Red said, "Where did you catch that Nidoran from?"

"It was actually my starter Pokemon, I'm from Flower town to the east of Viridian city," Joey said.

"Oh, I might pay a visit to Flower town soon," Red said, "They're cool Kimonos there right?"

"Yeah," Joey said as he sat on the short grass, "I'm gonna rest here for a while,"

"Okay, See you later," Red said, "Might as well prepare for Christmas,"

"Here's your 200 Poke," Joey said, "I hope you have a nice Christmas, Red,"

Viridian City:

Viridian City was the 2nd largest city in the entire Kanto region capable of rivaling with the size of Saffron city.

Red yawned as he walked through the bustling streets of Viridian city, Of course there was traffic, Christmas was 12 days from now. 

Charmander had gotten back to full health and as expected, he was a battle junkie.

Charmander was LV. 4 when Red met him and he had grown a lot during the past days but it was getting harder and harder to gain a higher level the more Charmander went up.

"Haah, Yeah Red, You're going to confess to Daisy today so... buy some perfume and breath mints," Red said to himself, a slight smile on his face.

The Pokemon Mart sold things for humans as well and Red was going to abuse the fact that he had a 50% discount from the league.

He bought a whole bunch of perfume and breath mints from the clerk as he wasn't too secure about himself.

Daisy was going to stay over at their house today to help Mom with some Christmas recipes and he was going to confess today.

Pallet Town:

"Breaking news, The Snowstorm has seemed to rapidly been accelerating," The reporter said on the TV as Maria and Daisy watched, "People are advised to not come outside,"

"Red went out to train," Maria said, "Damn, Where is he?"

At that moment, The front door opened up and revealed Red in his black trench coat.

"The snowstorm sure is getting stronger," Red said as he shut the door, "Mom, I'm Home!"

Red entered the living room and stared at the two women before extending a box forward.

"Hmm, What is this?" Maria asked.

"Your favorite perfume set," Red replied, "You were mumbling about it in your sleep and well I got it for you,"

"Thank you," Maria said while engulfing her son in a big hug.

"No problem," Red said, struggling to escape from his Mom's dangerous seviper grip.

Red ran upstairs, He freshened up and went to his room to think of Battle strategies.

The moon hung high in the sky as the intense snowstorm continued, even at that, The moon shone brightly. 

Pallet town was a euphoric sight, Silver lights illuminated every street and dropped on every house in Pallet town.

On the balcony of the Ketchum residence, Daisy stood, her hands next to the railing as her emerald eyes stared at the sky.

She heard footsteps and then someone entered the Balcony, It was Red who had a shy expression on his face and smelt of a little bit of perfume.

Daisy knew what was about to happen, She had been expecting it ever since her younger brother, Blue told her that his ex-friend had a crush on her.

She couldn't lie, lie to Red, the son of one of her best friends and motherly figures in Pallet town. She couldn't ignore Bill, her colleague whom she had started developing feelings for... and she couldn't go ahead and agree to him, who was two years younger than her.

"Nice night, isn't it?" Red asked.

"Red, Why are you here?" Daisy asked, ignoring his last question entirely.

"I'm here to talk to you, Daisy," Red said, his tone depicting a little urgency, "I have something to tell you, something to talk to you about,"

"Is what you want to say really appropriate?" Daisy asked.

"Daisy... I'm in love with you," Red said.

"Well Red, I'm not in love with you," Daisy said.
