Kanto Region, Pallet Town:

A boy with black hair and crimson eyes in a large trench coat walked through the streets of Pallet town on his way to the Pokemon Center, A Pokeball in his hand and his face emotionless.

The snowstorm was only blowing harder yet the boy did not falter, One step at a time, He advanced to the Pokemon Center building.

"Miss Green, Your Bulbasaur is back in full health," Nurse Joy said as she presented a tray with a Pokeball to Leaf Green.

Green had shoulder length brown hair and gray eyes. She was wearing a black gown that reached her knees and had a coat around herself for the cold weather.

"Thank you, Nurse Joy," Green said with a bow as she collected the Pokeball.

At that moment, The door of the Pokemon Center blew open and revealed Red with ice and snow on his trench coat.

He closed the door behind himself and then walked to the nurse.

"My Charmander, I want a check-up," Red said.

"O... Okay," Nurse Joy said while collecting Charmander's Pokeball from Red, "Please note that if your Pokemon has been poorly treated, It would reflect badly on your Trainer License," 

"Whatever," Red said while rolling his eyes and Nurse Joy left.

"Red..." Green said.

"What?" Red asked, "What do you want?"

"To talk with you," Green replied, her facial expression reflecting her emotions, "Red, We haven't talked for a while,"

"Yeah and so," Red said, his trench coat gradually warming up, "Isn't it because you refused to talk with me and rather with Blue? Please Green, Tell me, What do you want?"

Green's eyes turned teary, She didn't expect Red to treat her like this.

"I... I..."

"Mr. Red, The check up has been completed," Nurse Joy said, "Your Charmander just had a minor concussion but he has been healed now and returned to full health,"

She gave the Pokeball to Red and the boy did not falter, He took the Pokeball and then gave Green a split second glance before turning to the door.

"The snowstorm..."

Nurse Joy was saying but her voice was lost in the howling wind of the snowstorm as the door opened and closed with Red stepping outside.

'I wonder, What got Red into a bad mood?' Green thought.

The intensity of the Snowstorm seemed to be dropping now, Red closed the door of his house behind him with a sigh before sending Charmander out into the living room.

"Char!"

"Come on," Red said while taking off his trench coat, "Today is for rest, From tomorrow and onwards, We train!"

"Charmander!"

Somewhere on Seafoam Island:

A man wearing a suit with an 'R' symbol on it and a smirk on his face. He was tall and white in complexion, His hair wasn't that long neither was it short, It was just right and a little bit wavy.

This man was the acting Viridian city gym leader, Lionel Giovanni... who was also the leader of Team Rocket.

He gripped an Ultra Ball in his hand as he pointed it at Articuno.

"Y'know, You legendary Pokemon sure are at a different from the rest," Giovanni said while looking at Articuno, his eyes unwavering and a malicious smirk climbing up his face, "That's what makes this so interesting, Blast the entire Kanto region with a snowstorm and see if I care, In the end, You shall be defeated,"

"Beedrill, Time to battle!" Giovanni called out as he tapped his finger on the unlocked Pokeball.

The Pokeball opened and revealed a Beedrill which was larger than the average Queen Beedrill, It was easily towering over 10 meters and her skin was shining, her colors were vibrant.

"Bee!"

"Pree!"

"Alright, Start with Venom Shot!" Giovanni ordered.

A ball of potent poison formed in front of Beedrill and kept growing a bit before finally attaining a height similar to a Basketball.

Articuno glowed majestically as he summoned several shards of ice and shot them at Beedrill.

The ball of poison shot forward at breakneck speed, colliding with the shards of ice and turning them purple.

Articuno expanded his wings and flapped them, a splitting sound was heard and Articuno seemingly vanished from where he stood originally.

The ball collided with the ground, melting it and Giovanni darted his eyes to Articuno.

"Fast, Beedrill spread your wings and then Poison Jab!" Giovanni ordered, "Show him what true speed looks like!"

Articuno spread his wings, ready to dodge again but Beedrill suddenly turned into an afterimage and appeared in front of Articuno with her drills glowing in a radiant purple light.

The attack connected and Articuno was smashed into the ice wall of the cave.

"Show him your true fury, Use Hyper Beam!" Giovanni ordered, his malicious smirk in full glory.

A massive explosion shook the entire Seafoam Island.
