[Entrance of Viridian Forrest, Kanto]

Lan had finally made it to the Viridian Forrest as he decided to restock supplies at a nearby town where he spent a lot of his money.

When he arrived at the large sign indicating the entrance of the trainer's route he saw a large crowd of trainers gathering.

Lan was interested in seeing what was going on and eavesdropped on a couple of conversations with his sharp hearing.

Trainer 1 "Didn't you see the signposted in the Pokemon Center?

Trainer 2 " No I kind of just followed the crowd why is everyone so excited?"

Trainer 1 " Mann you are missing out apparently some of the bug catchers reported that there have been sightings of rare Pokemon in the forest. But it seems to disappear every time someone chases it."

Trainer 2 " Ohhh I thought it was about the Beedrill Colony becoming so agitated recently and attacking the scyther nest."

Trainer 1 " That is also part of it many trainers here are hoping to get lucky and capture a scyther during the fight between hives."

Trainer 2 "Yeah I wish I had a Scyther they are so cool and you can sell them to the Pokecenter for good money if you don't need it."

Trainer 1 "yeah I am hoping to get a Bedrill so I would be able to use it on my parent's farm.

Trainer 2 " Look everyone is going in"

Trainer 1 "Let's go"

Lan sighed at these trainers. He saw the large group enter the forest under what looked to be an Experience Bug Catcher with an official-looking uniform. He didn't really want to bother with any of this so he took the opposite route as the other. He quickly called out Cyndaquill who hopped onto his shoulder. Cyndaquill was needed to battle against the numerous amount of bug pokemon that resided in the forest.

Hours later Lan found a small Lake to rest by. Cyndaquill was quite overpowered here and was just tired after the constant battles. Lan had let out Magicarp to allow him to explore.

He started to prepare food for him and his Pokemon. He found that his appetite seemed to have taken a drastic increase which was impacting his budget. His body felt powerful and explosive compared to before and his stamina increased tremendously. Sadly that didn't matter if his Pokemon could not keep up.

The bushes at the edge of the clearing parted and out walked a green quadrupedal pokemon that had a huge bulb on its back. Its skin was a light turquoise and had green spots all over its body.

"Bulba? Bulba?"

The Bulbasaur scratched its head with its vine while looking around. It then saw Lan sitting there and backed off. But soon it saw the bowl of food on the ground and he squealed in delight.

Lan just sat in place while Cyndaquill seemed to be complaining as to Bulbasaur eating his food. Lan then noticed that Bulbasaur had pulled out a large piece of honeycomb from the bush and started to put the honey on his new meal. Lan could see that this Bulbasaur was quite a bit larger than others that Lan had seen at the Lab.

Lan was surprised as this was a really powerful Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur preceded to put more honey on its food. Lan sighed and eyed the honeycomb. His eyes widen as it had the designs of the Beedrill's honeycomb. Lan then put two and two together from the rumors and now this.

Bulbasaur stole Beedrill Honey and the group of Scyther got blamed for it starting a war between the two groups.

Bulbasaur eyes went wide when he saw Lan pulling out more food for the other Pokemon that was standing near him.

Bulba?

BUZZZZZZ

Sounds of wings rapidly grew louder and drowned out all of the other sounds of the forest.

"Crap we have to leave everyone Beedrills are coming!"

The pokemon just looked at Lan not sensing the imminent threat.

"Damn they are already here"

Suddenly new Pokemon flooded the clearing very quickly. Half of the group consisted of Beedrill and the other half Scyther. The two group leaders stepped forward and glared at the now frightened Bulbasaur.

Bulbasaur looked around seeming trying to find an escape until his eyes locked with Lan's. Bulbasaur then hurridly ran behind Lan and then taunted the group.

"Bulba Bulbasaur Bulba!" {Stupid Ugly Bugs, the honey is mine}

Lan felt what Bulbasaur had just said to trash talk the group and sweatdropped a bit.

Bulbasaur's comment infuriated the horde.

Lan immediately flared his Aura to try and scare them away but they were too enraged to register or think clearly. Lan sighed and commanded.

Cyndaquill <Smoke Screen> followed by <Ember>.

Magicarp try to follow us to the other side of the Lake.

Bulbasaur uses <Leech Seed> to try and strap them all down.

All the Pokemon followed his orders and soon the clearing was engulfed with smoke. Cyndaquill sent a powerful ember at its opponents while Bulbasaur hurled seeds at the mass of Pokemon. Some of the Seeds caught fire from the <Ember> causing mass damage to many of the bug Pokemon.

Lan and his pokemon started to retreat while the <Smoke Screen> was blown away by the enemies' <Gust> attacks.

The hoard set their eyes on Lan and Bulbasaur and chased after the duo leaving Cyndaquill and Magicarp by themselves.

Magicarp was angry that it couldn't help out its trainer. It slammed its tail in frustration causing the Everstone that was tied to it to be thrown in Cyndaquill's direction.

Suddenly, Magicarp was engulfed in a blue swirling Light which grew...grew and grew. When the light dissipated replacing Magicarp was an oversized Black Garadoys that sent out a Loud Roar letting the world know that it shall not be ignored.

The roar shook the surrounding forest and many trainers and Pokemon felt fear creep upon them.

Gyarados then sent a humongous jet of water at the hoard of Pokemon that were in pursuit of its trainer. The water hit most of the Pokemon instantly knocking most of them out. Cyndaquill was amazed at his friend's transformation and had a look of yearning in his eyes. They glinted in determination and he started to fight alongside his friend.

Lan was shocked he didn't know that just this little thing would trigger Magicarp's evolution. "Maybe I should have taken off the stones earlier since they have built a firm foundation."

Soon enough the horde of Pokemon was all knocked out near the lake.

Lan smiled at the trio of Pokemon congratulating each other on the win and one's evolution.

Bulbasaur was lifting Cyndaquill up trying to get him to slide down his back. Lan then rummaged through his bag for some Pokeballs and caught three scythers and two Beedrills to sell to the Pokecenter.

He turned around and now studied Gyarados. Lan scanned him with his Pokedex and found out that he was at least 32 feet tall making him tower over normal Garadyos'. Unlike a normal Gyarados who had blue scales with a yellow underbelly and white fins, his Gyarados had shimmering Black scales a light cream underbelly with silver fins. Coupled with his red eyes made for an impressive scene. [A/N can look up Dark Garaydos on Google/ Deviant Art to get an Idea]

Lan then used the system on him.

Wow, he is definitely Powerful now and since he is so young he will continue to grow larger and stronger in the Future.

Lan then felt a tugging at his pants. He looked down to see Bulbasaur pulling him somewhere. Lan then returned Garadoys and Kept Cyndaquil out. He then pulled berries from his storage and left them in the middle of the fainted Pokemon.

He preceded to follow Bulbasaur who was eager to get to its destination. When they arrived Lan was shocked it was the Beedrill's Nest. Bulbasaur led them over and started pointing to it.

Lan understood and sighed. It was definitely a good find. "Yep, we will get some of it. Lan preceded to fill up some large containers of Beedrill Honey making sure not to take all of it. He ended up with five large containers of it. He could make some good money as this honey is always being sought by restaurants and daycare centers (for baby pokemon).

Once Lan was done collecting his share he turned to the Culprit of this.

"Bulbasaur you caused all of this trouble for Honey?"

Bulbasaur cocked its head pondering then nodded agreeing with Lan.

Lan sighed as this Bulbasaur seemed mischievous. "Bulbasaur lets battle so that I can catch you"

Bulbasaur hopped back a bit but agreed. His whole demeanor changed while he though 'I am of royal lineage there is no way I am going to be caught'.

Cyndaquill moved forward in order to fight.

Bulbasaur immediately shot multiple <Leech Seed> at Cyndaquill who easily dodged it with his speed not even having to use <Quick Attack>.

Bulbasaur abandoned his attack when he could not touch Cyndaquil and then used < Vine Whip > to try and trap him instead.

Cyndaquil easily maneuvered through the vines and jumped up in the air while simultaneously using <smoke screen> to obscure his opponent's vision.

Lan did not give a command because he wanted to see how the two of them battled by themselves. "They both have good battle sense but Cyndaquil is leaps ahead of Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur has not moved from his initial spot and just goes all out in his attacks"

Cyndaquil finally saw an opening and promptly used <Quick Attack> to get in close and use <Scratch>. His attack sent Bulbasaur flying back and struggling to stand. Cyndaquil followed up with a <ember> thereby ending the battle.

Lan then preceded to heal Bulbasaur as he was the only one injured. Bulbasaur looked down and seemed to be depressed. Lan approached it and offered it an empty Pokeball saying " I do my best to make you the strongest Venesaur out there."

"Bulba?"

It then pondered back to his battle and realized it couldn't continue the way it has been and touched the Pokeball.
