LOG 40: A Resort

Having my breakfast in the cafeteria, observing the people passing by while also grooming my fluffies, I was approached by Virgo, Charlotte, and Zeal who seem to have good intentions based on their smiles.

"Luna, guess what?" Charlotte vigorously shook my shoulders.

"This better be good," I said.

"Of course it is. We're going to the desert today. The Unova Resort!" clarified Virgo.

"The desert what-awat-?"

"Remember the Hoenn desert, well, we're going to step up the game and have a little trip to the Unova Desert Resort." said Zeal.

"I heard there were secret ruins. You know me, I love to do some research. Mind coming with us? Who knows what Pokemon you'll be encountering there! I know you only have five, so abduct-- I mean capture one."

I glared at Virgo. "You owe me something for number one, acting like an old woman, and number two, hiding behind our cart in the ferris wheel. Now you want me to accompany you in this desert? I barely made it out alive in Hoenn!"

"That's blatantly false." said Zeal.

"Okay, maybe I did watch, but at least I saw what I wanted to see."

"We're just friends, that's nothing much of a deal."

"Wait! You went on a ferris wheel with that trainer?!" Charlotte started to heat up.

"We did nothing odd, ask Virgo."

Charlotte stared at her.

Virgo became scared, she shivered in fear. "I-It's true what she says, nothing odd happened."

"So? Are you going to the desert with us or not?" Zeal saved my life, changing the topic quickly before Charlotte "commenced" her rant.

"I don't know. It's hot and the sun... I'm lazy as a Slowpoke." I said with a lethargic voice which I pretty made up.

"Don't be a couch potato. Think of the Pokemon you'll be capturing. Don't you want a new Lily?" Virgo gave me a Cheshire smile.

"Okay, now you're trying to tempt me."

"It's fine if you don't want to come. After all, we're only going to do more research about your marble. I have to agree with you, it is boring, hot, and uninteresting." Charlotte and her tempting ways began to show.

"Wait, my marble?"

"Yes, we'll be researching about that." said Virgo with a drop of sweat falling off her forehead. Something tells me she's trying to lie.

I squinted. "And how do I know you're not lying?"

"Simple. We're friends. Friends don't lie." Charlotte chuckled. Another part of me tells me she's trying to tempt me again.

"Sigh, count me in."

"Great! So, it's off to research more about the ruins then?" Zeal leaped with joy as Virgo and Charlotte glared at her.

"Oh right, the whole marble thing was a joke. My bad." Zeal giggled.

"Humph! What happened to friends not lying."

"Well, you've got no choice so get your lazy ass up and do something recreational for once!" said Charlotte.

"These ruins better be interesting."

"Have I ever failed to disappoint you?" joked Charlotte.

After preparing my things for this so-called grand expedition to the ruins, we used our flying type Pokemon to get to the desert. According to my map, it's extremely enormous which means we can get loss and is why I hate the desert so much. This is eight times bigger than the one in Hoenn.

The cruel sun beat down, its malevolent eyes unblinking, and the skies was its co-conspirator with not even a wisp of clouds to soften the harsh rays. Me and Zeal used our Go Go Goggles from Hoenn while Virgo and Charlotte had to use their Rocket ones. I guess going to Hoenn has its benefits after all.

Swirls of dust just hitting my face rapidly. I could no longer hear what those two research enthusiast are saying by the powerful sound of the succumbing storm. They seem to be ardent and enthusiastic to this task even if their Rotom-Phone bugged out due to the lack of signal.

They were still confident that they could pass the storm and me and Zeal are here, recalling the nightmares we had in Hoenn. This one is the second level, even tougher to surpass compared to the previous.

Winds huffed and puffed terribly, the dust entering my nostrils and mouth, rasping my throat. I feel like an outcast walking to a place unknown, where every living part of nature is an enemy to me.

When hope seemed lost and me still not getting tired of using that phrase, a savior came to rescue us from hell. From the skies, we someone descending. They appeared to be the silhouettes of a jet plane, probably a Pokemon but I can't really see it due to the storm.

Their wings flapped and flapped while slowly they descended. Two figures of a human came to our sight. One had a blue hair and the other was somewhat blonde. Impossible to be Champion Cynthia since the hair was short, impossible to be Lucas since the hair was long.

"Luna?!" said the two persons who rode atop their Pokemon.

That familiar tone and voice. Could it be?
