The love for a sword hilt

'To the fool who is the embodiment of idiocracy.'

Sheyken just laughed out loud when Falgur read the first words addressed to him that were written on the letter. Falgur sulked but continued to read.

'I call you that because no one has ever used any of my armor or weapon to their fullest extent in all the years I have been making them. Thus, all of you have been dubbed as fools in this world's history.'

Sheyken was best friends with this craft smith already.

'You are young, so I hope you can prove the world wrong and make my creation famous. As you will grow, the armor will become part of you and thus become somewhat of a second skin as you will be able to control each feather on it like they were an extension of your fingers.'

Falgur stopped reading and went to touch the armor he had put on Sheykens bed as it was the only one made up. He moved his hand around it and felt a texture he had never known before that moment. The armor was all black but you could not tell that it was made up of feathers with it looking like leather from a distance. Each feather was placed in a way that the black eye that was at the end of each one covered the blue color of the feather it was on top of. It was mesmerizing as it was intimidating.

When he ran his hand on top of it, it revealed the blue color and you could then see the eye such that when he ran his hand on the top layer you would think countless eyes were looking at you. It also seemed like you could have that effect when wind blows past it and slightly lifting the feathers off one another making whoever saw it terrified. Sheyken saw this when he blew on top of the feathers just to see what would happen.

Sheyken then slapped Falgur's hand to bring him back to Uros as he seemed to get lost in the sensation of the feather's texture. You would see small bolts of lightning from the feathers trying to connect with his hand. After feeling the itch from the hand that was slapped as Sheyken made sure to hit it hard, he just smiled and called him jealous which made Sheyken hold Shadow tightly and rub him against his cheeks. Falgur continued reading after remembering that Shadow was considered a legendary armor already.

'The inside of the armor is made up of the skin of the Tempesta-aves with some of its bones crushed and made to be its second layer. It has the potential of being as strong as it had been when it was killed and more. It will all depend on how pure the mana you channel through it is. This means the stronger you become, the stronger the armor also becomes.'

Falgur smiled.

'Since you will have its core as your Base core, and your Blessing being lighting, it will offer no resistance but will amplify every attack depending on if it belonged to the magic elements of its core. You will be able to also charge up any feather of the armor with lightning and turn it into a lighting bomb. Its intensity will vary on the amount to pour into the feather. Like I mentioned earlier, you will be able to control each feather like your fingers and you will be able to detach them at will. There are more than 2000 feathers on the armor but you must know that each one you detach will make your armors less durable. So, being the idiot that you are, I suggest you only use this as a last resort.'

Sheyken laughed again.

'Lastly, if you damage it, I will change you 2000 mana crystals starting from the smallest of repairs. The price will decrease depending on how well known you become or if you come with the fellow that owns the legendary armor.'

Sheyken felt his pockets bleeding as Falgur read that part, but he breathed a sigh of relief after hearing he just had to go with Falgur if they wanted a discount. He had to make up something about who made Shadow though. He could not tell him an Undead made him.

He looked at Shadow and for the first time ran his hand on his jacket trying to feel his texture. He was disappointed as it was just rough like that of cowhide and nothing special. He failed to understand why Teluman was obsessed with it that much. Falgur's armor seemed to have much more in its arsenal than what Shadow had.

'The three weapons are unique in that they are somewhat an extended arm of the armor.

1st- the dagger. It is made from the beak of the Tempesta-aves. Just like the armor, it is as powerful as its wielder with the potential of piercing through armor and skins of fourth-tier and some fifty-tier beasts. You can run lightning through it with it offering no resistance meaning if you run 100% of your lightning through it, it will reach the stabbed opponent still being 100%.'

"Hahahahahaha!!!!!"

Falgur laughed like an evil mad man. He had told Sheyken that during their fight against the initiates, though he could pass his lighting through his Sicapugi, he felt the output he was giving out was so much more than the end result. They concluded that it was because of the material it was made of not being a good conductor of his lighting.

He got a clap at the back of his head so to bring his excitement down. Sheyken was on a roll that morning having two claps already under his belt.

'2nd the short sword. It is made from the claws and bones of the Tempesta-aves. It is a steady as any long sword would be but light as a feather. It is truly an extension of your armor as it will have lighting of your current level of power always running through it with it not being wasted. You can call it an extension of your mana circuit. Mana will be lost every time it clashes with something or cut through it. This way you can cut and electrocute your opponent at the same time.'

"Wuahahahahahaha!"

Falgur was at it again. Thinking of what he will be able to do to Vetagroes with it made him go crazy again. Sheyken had a third clap under his belt now.

'Lastly, the sword hilt. It is made of the beak, claws, bones of the Tempesta-aves, wrapped around it is its feathers and added material made from its skin. Its core is the miniaturized heart of the Tempesta-aves. This, I should have made you pay more for such a weapon but since you were introduced by non-other than her majesty the queen, I shall consider this weapon as insuring that you live and make my work famous. The miniaturizing spell's costs were covered by her majesty as a gesture of goodwill for having me make armor for a kid for the first time in my life.'

Sheyken did not understand how people would even know that Teluman made the armor and weapons. He was now also sure the queen knew something about them.

'You will need to pour in your mana into it to activate it. The heart inside the hilt will turn it into curse lighting resembling a long sword. Know that this sword can only be used by the user of the core. This sword will be as steady and as strong as the amount of mana you pour into the hilt and how pure it is. As you master this sword, you will be able to slash out cursed lighting slashes to your enemies from far away. If you can not learn this by yourself or find a teacher who knows this technique, you are welcome to visit me so I can expel the idiocracy from you.'

"Sheyken! I am in love!"

Falgur said out loud with hearts drawn in his eyes as he took the sword hilt and jumped into Sheykens bed, getting into a fetal position as he kissed the center of the sword hilt which had the eyes of one of the feathers like it was looking at them. Sheyken quickly got into action.

"Stop! you insane mongrel.... who in his right mind tries to make love to a sword!!? Did you even get its concert!!!??"

The two got into a squabble again but with Sheyken proving victories this time around. He took the sword hilt from Falgur and after feeling the texture of it and noticing it to be like that of suede, Ruby absorbed it to the horror of Falgur.

"No!!!!"

You could almost see tears in his eyes.

"Do you want me to tell Sali you like a sword hilt more than her?"

Sheyken said trying to calm him down.

"Tell her, you can tell the whole world for all I care, I just want to feel it in my hands one more time."

Falgur said dramatically as he came crawling and holding the tip of his pants. He could win an Oscar for just that one scene. Sheyken laughed at the insanity of it all. He noticed he was starting to have fun with Falgur. He laughed and fell to the floor and looked at the ceiling smiling.

"Man, just read the last part of the letter. You know I will give it to you."

Falgur sulked and took the letter out again.

'You are an idiot.'

They both laughed as Falgur read the next words on the letter. This made him start the sentence afresh.

'You are an idiot, but you are an idiot with one of the top 15 armors I have crafted. I wish you luck and glory. Your glory is my glory but never forget the people who made us be connected through this material, thanking someone is such a small act that has the potential to be the beginning of the exorcism of your idiocracy as that act goes a long way through one's life.'

Falgur looked at the last paragraph of the letter for what seemed to be a long moment then put the letter back in the storage device. Its texture was just like that of the sword hilt, feeling like that of suede. This meant it was lightly the left-over material on which Teluman wrote his letter. This was why it could go into the ring.

"Thanks brother, this armor and weapons seem like they are for the elite."

Falgur said as he laid next to Sheyken.

"You do not have to mention it. Well, that just makes us one of the elites then."

Sheyken said with a smile.

"Would you give up Plot Armor for my weapons?"

Sheyken looked at Falgur like he just insulted him. Seeing this, Falgur smiled as it was his intention. They were rivals after all.

"Even if your weapons could fat poisonous gas that only affected your enemies, I would never."

Falgur's smile turned into a frown as he imagined one of his swords doing the unthinkable.

"Let's get ready, we need to make a grand entrance at the guild, being the honorary guild members, we are. We now have the digs to match such an honor."

Sheyken said with a smile as he got up while looking at Falgur's frowning face.
