Grease

The mother of the twins had been taken away from her children and was left alone in a small courtyard as punishment for her involvement with the scheme.

She sat alone within a poorly lit room and grabbed at her own hair in a state of anger. 'I should have killed that mouse sooner. Damn her! Why does that old man cherish her so much? The moment that I get out of here then I will make sure she suffers before her death.

Why did they have to make such a request suddenly and had made it so urgent.. if they had given me more time then I would have not been discovered so easily. Luckily they still have no definite proof of my involvement.'

The maid which had been given to her by her family often gave her information from her family and acted as an intermediary between them and her.

Her family were under the Glutt family along with several other families and she still relied on that support so that she would win the battle within the Meridian family for the position of head of the family.

When an order came from the family, she could not easily turn it down as it meant risking losing that support which she relied on.

Ever since the hunting gathering of the noble children there was a big change in the attitudes of those that supported Milo due to the way he treat others beneath him.

There were many which had withdrew their support and had stopped their children from visiting Milo while some were still hesitating to withdraw their support too.

If she lost her families support then the power she held would fall apart very quickly so she had to act.

Many elders which supported Milo were looking to gain a more favourable position and for their lazy attitudes to be overlooked in exchange for their support and being involved in various sinister plots.

They just wanted to maintain their current lives and live how they pleased while gaining a couple of benefits along the way and that would be threatened if someone stricter or smarter took over and spotted their faults.

Some of them had been with the family for a long time or were much older so their laziness or criminal actions could be overlooked by Rufus so long as they did not take things too far but when a new family head came along, there would be a chance of the family being restructured and they would be the first to go.

They saw Milo as someone that was easier to manipulate due to his inferiority complex and that he would be more grateful than the other children for aiding him in his rise to the position of family head since he was the youngest male child who was least talked about in the family.

The losing of some support from various families only helped the elders make their decision as they saw it as an opportunity to solidify their position by the side of Milo and they saw it as a golden opportunity to increase their bond with him.

During the tough times when everyone was abandoning him, he would remember those who stuck around and volunteered to assist him to climb back up.

That was their belief and they cooperated with what Milo's mother had asked them.

Many of them were believers that Pixel was an annoyance and needed to be removed so they were more than happy to risk a couple of pawns they had to kill her.

They had never imagined the risk involved and neither had the mother of Milo and Cleo.

Their entire world crumbled with a single failure due to them looking down on Pixel.

The poison was supplied by the family of the mother of Milo and Cleo then passed through the hands of the mother and the elders until it was opened by the main culprit who committed the crime and would pin the blame on another person by their side.

The poison was identified by Dr Miyagi and there was a team which had later been sent out.

Meanwhile in another noble family home which had a much lower status, there were many different types of herbs growing on the land while some people were inside and were experimenting with them,

It was one of the more well known families which experimented with poisons and was one of the families that had some connections to the Glutt family even if the ties were not made so public.

An old mink was wearing a mask as he ground done some herbs and mixed them together until he created several vials filled with different poisonous powders, pastes or diluted and see through liquids.

His attention was taken away from his current task as there was a loud crash nearby and an angry voice was heard. "Old Grease! Get out here now! I have had enough of you!"

The old man frowned and stood up slowly. "What is that old fool Miyagi doing in my home this time? If he is here to cause trouble then I will show no mercy."

Dr Miyagi walked the path of medicine and healing people while old Grease walked the path of poisons and causing harm or death so they were natural enemies and had many conflicts between them.

In their youth, Dr Miyagi was moving around healing people and visiting places to provide aid to the sick and needy while old Grease was experimenting on various poisons and testing them on living animals but old Grease usually lived a more secluded life and did not get involved with family disputes in his youth.

Most of his families poisons were quite well known since they were monitored and a lot of their more unique poisons were only found to use certain herbs that were grown within their family home.

Medicine and poison conflicted but could also mutually coexist, there were cases where using too much poison could prove fatal and some poisons could help cure someone or counteract another poison.

They came from the same source of origin of study and could be used to inflict harm or heal depending on the person using that knowledge.

The main problem was that the person creating the poisons was involved in the case and had a long conflict with Dr Miyagi.

They had very differing ways of living that clashed with each other and it did not help that Dr Miyagi was a goat while old Grease was a coyote who would both instinctively have a feeling of incompatibility between them since coyotes are a goats natural predator.

It would be more natural for Dr Miyagi to cower away from any conflict with Old Grease due to him being the prey in their relationship but he was able to overcome those natural instincts and often clashed with him.

Dr Miyagi was very respected within Zou and had few students of his own and had no family to pass his skills down to as opposed to old Grease who had a family of his own but they were less reputable among the nobility of Zou.

Once they had come face to face, Dr Miyagi tossed over a small bag towards old Grease who was opposite him. "You cannot help yourself can you? One more of your creations has made its way to cause harm to innocent lives. I cannot overlook this any longer so follow me quietly while I am asking nicely."

Old Grease snorted. "How rude you have become after gaining a little fame. It has gone to your head."

He took a look at what was inside then revealed a disturbed expression and then his gaze became serious. "How did you get this?"

Dr Miyagi coldly spoke. "Let's leave that for later, this time I have the approval of Duke Baan to investigate your family. Please cooperate."

Old Grease grit his sharp teeth and then calmed himself down. "Fine.."

Another investigation began inside the home of the Grease family which had been identified as the source of the poison and their records were looked through for who they had sold the poison to in the past.

The old man and many of his family members were brought in for questioning and it lasted a long time until someone finally confessed once the pieces of evidence were discovered and had been brought out.
