Professor Hugo's Plan

Sarah was looking worried as she paced around the room, it was already ten minutes past two in the morning and Peter and Alice weren't at the cottage. She tried using the location spell she wrote down from the spells Peter muttered when he was asleep but she wasn't able to say it, it was almost as if her tongue was tied anytime she tried saying the spell and it made her all the more frustrated.

"Let's search the school building, I'm sure they'll be there," Melissa said.

"I don't sense them at all Melissa, that's why I'm so worried," Sarah said. Sarah usually attached a bug to their clothes unknowingly to them, in case they got lost she'd be able to find them but this time she couldn't sense the bug. She tried to convince herself that maybe they saw it and took it off but the bug could only be taken off by the person who placed it, and she also put it in a place she knew they wouldn't be able to find it.

"They're very strong children, please don't worry much. I doubt that anybody here could take them" Melissa said after which Sarah calmed down a bit.

"What are you doing here children?" Professor Hugo asked the three of them.

"What are you keeping down there?" Alice replied in anger readying a spell in her hand.

"Relax and calm down Miss Alice," the Professor said "what's happened to him?" he asked referring to Peter who was lying unconscious.

"It's not something you should be concerned with," Alice said glaring at him. A moment later, Peter woke up and the moment he did he attempted to attack the Professor but was restrained by Alice and Claire.

"What do you have down there?" Peter shouted.

"It's the Principal, I've been keeping an eye on him for a while now. It seems he's been opening a portal to the dark dimension with a dragon relic and bringing in monsters" the Professor said with his hand on his stomach.

"Then how do you explain the red rays of light we saw coming from your office?" Claire asked.

"I stole the relic from him in an attempt to destroy it. I hit it with a curse and it produced the red light" the Professor answered.

"You have blood on your head Professor," Claire said.

"Oh that, it's nothing, I tripped and hit my head on the shelf earlier," the Professor said as he giggled anxiously.

"We have to go tell Mom so she can stop this madness," Alice said.

"That would be a great idea, I'll wrap up quickly and join you guys," Professor Hugo said. The three of them left on their way to tell Sarah and Melissa what had happened so they could stop the Principal, but what they didn't know was that the Professor had told them a lie. He wanted them to leave and apprehend the principal so it could buy him time to summon more Chimeras.

The Professor lost his wife and daughter to the hands of the magic council in Sweden. His wife and daughter saved a family from an accident with magic In the presence of Nomags which was against their magic laws, so the council arrested them and sent them to jail the Judge who presided over the case was Principal Pierre Guillaume who was a judge at the time in Sweden. His family was supposed to be released after two years but the inmates there killed them which made the Professor spite Mr. Pierre, when he found out that Mr. Pierre had taken the offer to work at the école de magie as the principal he closely watched him and took on the job as the elemental magic teacher wearing a disguise so he wouldn't be recognized, he also spread his fake sob story whenever he was asked so he didn't have to be acquainted with people in the school. He planned on killing Mr. Pierre but then Sarah and her family came into the school thereby halting his plan, he knew that he wasn't strong enough to face Sarah and her family so he stole two relics from the magic council so he could bypass the portal blockage within the school and use the other to open a portal to summon Chimeras strong enough to take on Sarah and her family.

After a while, Peter, Alice, and Claire got to the cottage and immediately they got in Sarah ran and hugged Peter and Alice tightly with tears in her eyes.

"Where have you guys been?" Sarah asked and upon closer inspection, she saw that Alice had dried blood on her nose and blood stains on her shirt, and the three of them were covered in so much dirt "What's this, did you guys get into a fight?" Sarah said this time with a raised voice. Claire narrated the whole ordeal down at the Labyrinths and how they suspected Professor Hugo and what the Principal was up to.

"Which building does the Principal live in?" Sarah asked.

"The Principal's Villa is at the other end of the school compound and it's heavily guarded" Claire answered.

"I'm going to have a word with him," Sarah said calmly but it was evident she was extremely angry, "Wait here children I'll be back," Sarah said as she left the room with Melissa. Peter walked around the room lost in thought while Alice went into her room to change into new clothes, Claire just sat quietly but still looking shook from the events at the Labyrinths.

"It doesn't add up," Peter said.

"What doesn't?" Claire asked.

"If you said the Principal's Villa is heavily guarded then how come the Professor was able to get in and steal something so valuable?" Peter asked.

"It's because he didn't steal it. He's had it the whole time and he summoned those monsters, not the Principal" Alice said as she walked out of her room.

"How can you be so sure?" Claire asked.

"When you summon a creature, it's automatically bonded to you, it's like you share the same body" Alice explained.

"You're right, that's why he was bleeding from his head because Peter hit the chimera on its head with the ice spear and it hurt it badly," Claire said.

"And that's the reason he was holding his belly because I had pierced the monster with those vines," Alice said.

"Then we'll have to go stop Mom because knowing her, I'm sure she's going to harm the Principal," Peter said. They hurriedly left the cottage running for the Principal's Villa, but it wasn't an easy task because the path to the Villa was Enchanted. It changed directions every time someone walked over it, it was a precautionary measure put in place by the magic council as the Principal was an integral member of the magic council.

After a while, they were able to find their way to the Villa but all the guards who were at the front gate were bundled up with a thorn vine.

"What happened here?" Alice asked as she undid the spell.

"She's crazy! she's crazy! she's going to kill the Principal" a guard shouted hysterically with his face and body covered in blood. They rushed down as fast as they could to the house and busted open the door and found the Principal hovering in the air crying like a child with a large pot of fire beneath him.

"Children! what are you doing here," Sarah asked.

"Mom calm down, it was a mixup the Professor summoned the Chimera and not him," Alice said.

"Are you sure?" Melissa shouted.

"Yes I am, now put him down please!" Alice yelled after which Melissa made the pot of fire disappear and Sarah dropped the Principal.

"What's going on here?" the Principal shouted with his pajamas burnt and his leg almost roasted.

"It seems Professor Hugo set you up," Sarah said.

"Set me up? why?!" the Principal said this time looking confused.

"You tell m....?" Sarah was saying when they heard a loud thud outside. They rushed outside and they saw Professor Hugo standing in front of five vicious-looking Chimeras.

"What's the meaning of this Professor?!" Mr. Pierre asked.

"It seems you still don't recognize me, Mr. Judge," Professor Hugo said.

"What do you mean?" Mr. Pierre asked.

"I'll make things clearer for you, Judge" Professor Hugo said pressing his wand against his neck and suddenly his face changed. ''Do you remember me now, Judge?" Professor Hugo asked with a sinister smile on his face.

"Erik Bergstrom?" the Principal said.

"Ahhh you still remember me very well, I'm also sure you remembered how I pleaded with you to spare my wife and child, after all, it was a good thing they did," Professor Hugo said.

"By our laws, they committed a crime Erik, there was nothing I could've done, I'm so sorry for what happened to your wife and child but you have to understand that it wasn't my fault and it was out of my hands too," the Principal said.

"I'm so sorry Principal, this is out of my hands too and Sarah I'm sorry you and your family had to be dragged into this, it's just bad luck and poor timing," the professor said, "omnes interficere" the professor bellowed and all the chimeras charged towards them.
