Xander

I drove into our territory, up to the pack house, and parked out front. I got out of the car, grinning. As I walked in the door my mom ran up to me.

"How was your date?" She asked, smiling.

"Great actually. I told her about us and she accepted us. Then, believe it or not, she shifted." My mom looked at me in shock.

"But I thought she was human?" She whispered.

"So did I. But I could tell she was just as surprised as I was when it happened."

"Oh wow. Well what does she look like?" She said curiously.

"She's completely white, almost silver. With a black crescent moon on her chest. Just like mine." I said with pride.

"Wow, that's an amazing sweetheart. I can't wait to meet her." She hinted. I rolled my eyes.

"Yes mom. You'll meet her soon. I'm planning on asking her tonight." She smiled widely and walked towards the kitchen.

After eating I pulled out my phone and called Angel. It rang once before she picked up.

"Yeeess?" She answered, giggling.

"So. Would you mind coming to dinner tomorrow night? My parents have been bugging the hell out of me to meet you. Well, mostly my mom."

"Yes I don't mind. I'd love to meet them." She said and I smiled.

"Awesome. I'll let them know. I'd also like you to meet our pack. I want them to meet their Luna." I said hopefully.

"I have no problem with that. I just hope they'll like me."

"I already know they'll love you. I'll get my mom to set up the Luna ceremony." I yelled for my mom.

"Yes honey?" She responded as she walked over to me.

"Angel will be here tomorrow for dinner. She also agreed to a Luna ceremony if you're wanting to put it together." She squealed and ran off towards my dad's office.

"Well she's excited." I said and she giggled. "I'll see you tomorrow at 5pm my little mate. Sleep well."

"Sleep well handsome." She said softly before we hung up.

I was smiling at my phone like an idiot when I heard my dad call for me. I took off to his office, knocking before I entered.

"So your mom tells me your mate will be here tomorrow?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes sir. She agreed to dinner and have a Luna ceremony." I responded.

"Alright. I'll leave that to your mother." He chuckled.

"Is that all dad?" He nodded, looking back down to the paperwork scattered around his desk. I turned around and walked out, heading to my room.

I walked in, heading to my bed and dropped myself onto it, bouncing slightly. I sighed and sat back up, stripping out of my clothes before tucking myself under the covers, Angel on my mind as I slowly drifted off to sleep.

I woke with a start, complete terror flowing through my body. I looked at my clock to see it was 2 in the morning.

'What's going on'

'MATE! SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MATE!' Slade yelled and I jumped up pulling in clothes and I took off out of my room.

'JACK! I NEED YOU' I yelled through the mind link.

'Yes Alpha' he responded almost instantly.

I ran down the stairs two at a time and met Jack at the front door.

"Something is wrong with my mate!" I yelled as I yanked open the front door.

"Understood" he replied right before we jumped off the porch, shifting into our wolves before we hit the ground running.

We are coming my little mate.

Angel

I was eating dinner with my family when all of a sudden I heard someone scream. I jolted up and took off, causing my chair to fall over loudly. I ran towards the front door, yanked it open, only to stop in my tracks and my eyes widened at the sight.

My family lay there, strewn over the front lawn in pieces, painting the once beautiful green grass red. I looked up to see a man covered in shadows, holding August the throat as she struggled against him.

"Who are you?! Let her go!" I yelled.

"You will know who I am soon, my little pet. And when you do, I'll make sure there's nothing left." He replied as he ripped August in two, her eyes glossing over almost instantly as she fell to the ground in a heap. He started laughing as I fell to my knees and screamed in pain, looking at my family murdered before my eyes.

I woke up to the feeling of someone shaking me and yelling for me to wake up. As I opened my eyes I saw Xanders face full of worry. I burst into tears and he pulled me into his lap, holding me tight.

"Shhhhh, it was just a dream, my love. You're okay. I'm here." He whispered in my ear as I sobbed into his chest.

As my cries died down and turned into hiccups, he pulled back slightly and looked me in the eyes.

"Are you okay?" I nodded, not trusting my voice.

"Bestie. What happened?" August asked and I looked down to her sitting on the floor beside the bed. I took a deep shuddering breath and explained the dream the best I could. They both looked at me with worried expressions.

"Do you know who it was?" I shook my head.

"No. He was surrounded by darkness. Almost like he could control it at will. I could feel how evil he was..." I trailed off. Suddenly someone walked in. I looked up to see a man in the doorway, staring at August.

"What's up Jack?" Xander asked him as he continued to stare at my best friend. I looked down at her to see her staring back at him. Suddenly I grinned.

" Mate!" They said at the same time and I watched August jump up and launched herself into his arms. Xander and I both laughed and they looked at us with hope in their eyes. I nodded.

"Go ahead." I said and they both grinned, Jack turning around and walking out with her still in his arms.

"Well that's nice." I sighed and cuddled into Xanders chest as he chuckled softly. His arms tightened around me and he sighed in content.

"I could stay like this forever.." he whispered into my hair. I giggled.

"Well...would you like to stay the night? I have a feeling Jack won't wanna leave either." I laughed as his head shot up with a shocked expression.

"Is that okay?" He asked softly.

"Not that I'm complaining of course." I nodded.

"Yeah. Besides, I don't wanna have another nightmare. Especially without you here." I said shyly. He grinned and nodded.

"Will your parents be okay with it?" I shrugged.

" You're my mate. I'm sure they'll understand. They're out on a date weekend so they won't be home until tomorrow night anyways." I said as I slowly climbed off his lap. Just then I noticed he was shirtless and I turned a deep red.

"Uhhh….where's your shirt." He glances down and bursts out laughing.

"I felt your fear so Jack and I ran here in our wolf forms to check if you were okay. I guess I didn't really think about it at the time." I nodded, understanding. I pulled him into a hug.

"Thank you for coming here for me. You've made me feel so much better." I pulled away, and gestured to the bed.

"Can we sleep now? I'm exhausted." He nodded, smiling slightly. We pulled back the covers and settled in. He pulled me into his arms with my back against his chest.

"Goodnight beautiful." He whispered in my ear.

"Goodnight handsome." I said as I drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
