ANGEL

"Are we..?" He nodded. I continued to stare at him in shock.

Oh my god.

'I could have told you that' Jezebeth commented.

Then why didn't you?!

'Cuz this was more fun" she said. I could just feel her smirking.

'There's something else'

Yes?

'You can also turn into a wolf'

WHAT?!

Suddenly my body felt like it was burning up. Then pain shot through my body, making me fall to my knees as I screamed out.

"ARE YOU OKAY?!" I faintly heard Xander yell.

"Yes..." I gritted out as I felt my bones start breaking and I screamed again. This time louder. I could feel my body changing as my sight blurred. Suddenly the pain stopped. I looked up to see Xander looking at me in shock. I looked down to see my fur was white. Almost silver.

How am I a wolf?

Your mother asked me to give her to you. Her name is Sadie. Take care of her....

Who are you?? I asked the voice but received no answer.

"Are you okay?" Xander asked, looking at me with a worried expression.

"Do you know how to shift back?" I shake my head.

"Just think about your human form and your body will follow." he said, nodding at me. I did as he said and in the next second I was in my human form, fully clothed. I looked up to see Xander looking at me with a shocked expression.

"What?" I cocked my head at him and raised an eyebrow.

"You're a wolf? How could I not smell you then? Not only that, you were fully clothed when you shifted back. I don't know of anyone who can do that. You also have the same symbol on your chest as I do....A crescent moon..." he looked so confused and I instantly felt bad for not telling him about us when he told me about him.

Can I tell him?

'Yes, he is our mate. We can trust him.' All three of the girls answered, seemingly one voice.

I took a deep breath and started explaining.

Xander let out a breath. Processing everything I just told him.

"Wow. Turns out my mate is even more amazing than I thought." He stated and grinned at me. I smiled back. He grabbed my hand, pulling me into a hug. Sparks erupted all over my body, making me shiver. His musky scent filled my nose. A mix between pine and chocolate. Weird mix but it worked.

"Does that happen because we're mates?" I felt him nod.

"I've been wanting to have you in my arms since I first saw you.." He sighed. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back tightly.

"I should probably take you home. Even though I really don't want to." He laughed slightly as he pulled away. I instantly missed his touch. He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the car. Helping me then got in himself. Then we were off back to my house.

As we pulled into the driveway, I saw both my parents standing outside. Waiting for me I guess. I groaned.

"Are we in trouble?" Xander asked, laughing nervously.

"Probably. I didn't tell them I was leaving..." I said, smiling sheepishly. He rolled his eyes and laughed. He got out and walked around, helping me out of the car.

"Angel! Where have you been, young lady! You worried us sick!" my mom yelled at me, crossing her arms.

"Sorry ma'am. That was my fault. I took her out on a date." My mom's eyes widened.

"Alpha Xander! I'm sorry, I didn't know you knew our daughter."

"I actually met her yesterday, but I found out pretty quickly that she is my mate." He replied, grinning from ear to ear. My mom looked at him in shock before squealing and pulling me into a tight hug with both her and dad squeezing the crap out of me.

"Okay, okay! You can let go now!" I yelled as I pried myself from their grasp. I turned to Xavier and smiled.

"I need to update them on what happened in the clearing. I had a great time, Thank you."

"Oh wait!" he yelled and took off to his car. He jogged back to me, handing me a small red velvet box.

"Happy Birthday sweetheart." he said and I looked at him confused.

"How did you know it was my birthday?" I asked him. Although I already had a feeling who it was. All he did was grin and gesture to the box. I pulled it open and gasped.

It was a beautiful red diamond cut into the shape of a crescent moon with white diamonds on each side, looking like stars.

"Oh my gosh. It's beautiful!"

"Just like my mate." he kissed my forehead and I blushed. He waved at my parents and walked to his car.

"See you soon little mate." he said as he got into his car and pulled out of the driveway. I sighed and turned towards my parents.

"Okay. Let's go inside so I can talk to you." They nodded and we all headed inside.

As I entered the house I yelled out for August.

"COMING BESTIIIEEEE!!" she yelled from upstairs and I watched her jump on the stairs railing and slide all the way down to me. I rolled my eyes and saw my mom glaring at her playfully. She just shrugged with a smile, walked into the living room, and dropped herself onto the couch.

"So what's up?" My dad asked as he sat down in the recliner, my mom climbing onto his lap.

"I have a wolf."

All three of them just stared at me for a moment with blank expressions on their faces.

"WHAT?!" They all yelled at the same time, causing me to cover my ears and wince.

"Yeah. I heard a voice in my head saying my mom asked her to give me a wolf and to take care of her, though I'm not sure who it was. My wolf's name is Sadie." I smiled at them.

"Do you think it was the moon goddess?" August asked my parents.

"Might have been.." my mom mumbled.

"Who's that?" I asked in confusion.

"She's the mother of all wolves. She created us. Just like humans have God, we have the Moon Goddess. Her name is Selene. You must be really special if she spoke to you. " My dad answered.

'Ummm... Hate to interrupt but you're about to shift into both of us...' Arella said suddenly.

My eyes widened. 'What?! Why?!'

'Meeting our mate triggered the need to shift. That's why you shifted into sadie so suddenly.'

I jumped up and took off out the back door, running as fast as I could towards the clearing behind our house. I could hear August and my parents yelling behind me asking what was happening.

Suddenly the pain hit me all at once, causing me to trip and fall to my knees. I was in more pain than shifting into my wolf. It started between my shoulder blades and I felt something moving under my skin. I squeezed my eyes shut as I heard the sound of flesh ripping and I screamed.

After what felt like hours, the pain subsided. I looked back to see a pair of magnificent blue wings coming out of my back. They seemed to glow as the wind blew through them softly, I looked down to see that my outfit and hair also changed. I was wearing a simple white gown. My hair had turned silver and now reached by butt in soft curls. I looked at my parents and they gasped.

"Honey, your eyes are completely white..." my mom said. Covering her mouth with her hand.

"Yeah! You also have a blue crescent moon on your forehead!" August whispered in shock. I looked at my Dad and he had a look that was unreadable. All of a sudden the pain was back causing me to drop to my knees once again. I watched as my beautiful blue feathers fell and were replaced with black ones. I looked at my hands as my nails grew long and sharp, and my skin started darkening to a blood red. Once again the pain stopped as suddenly as it came and looked at my family.

"Your eyes are now glowing violet..." my dad said in awe.

"And the crescent on your forehead is now white." Mom said, walking up to me and putting my face in her hands.

"Honey. You're beautiful." She said and pulled me into a tight hug. I sighed and willed myself to turn back. When I pulled away, I was back to normal. I looked at them and gave them a tired smile.

"Can we go inside? I'm hungry." I said and made a face. They burst out laughing.

"You. Always thinking about food!" August commented as I stood up and made my way back to the house with my family in tow.

After I finished eating I plopped on my bed sighing heavily. I felt the bed dip as August sat down next to me.

"Sooooooo...Wanna watch a movie?" She asked as she waved some popcorn in my face. I giggled and nodded.

"Sure. What do you wanna watch?" I asked, sitting up and taking a handful of popcorn.

"No idea yet." I laughed as she turned off the tv and started flipping through movies. Suddenly, my phone rings. I picked it up, looking at it. Xander's name flashed on the screen. I answered quickly.

"Yeeess?" I answered, giggling.

"So. Would you mind coming to dinner tomorrow night? My parents have been bugging the hell out of me to meet you. Well, mostly my mom." I laughed.

"Yes I don't mind. I'd love to meet them." I said, glancing at August, who is still flipping through movies.

"Awesome. I'll let them know. I'd also like you to meet our pack. I want them to meet their Luna." I grinned.

"I have no problem with that. I just hope they'll like me."

"I already know they'll love you. I'll get my mom to set up the Luna ceremony." I heard him yell for his mother. She squealed and he laughed.

"Well she's excited." He said and I giggled. "I'll see you tomorrow at 5pm my little mate. Sleep well."

"Sleep well handsome." I smiled as we hung up. I looked up to see August staring at me with a huge grin on her face.

"I wanna go too! Those ceremonies are so fun!" She started giving me puppy dog eyes. I burst out laughing.

"Yes of course you can come!" She jumps up and bounces on the bed, clapping her hands.

"YES!" She yells and I laughed at her childish antics.
