Chapter 2 - New World

"Hmmm, interesting"

I rest the vial in my hand down. Suddenly multiple magic circles appeared around me startling the homunculi in the lab. But before they could panic they all disappeared.

'Hmmm, my magic seems to work the same, however the potency is stronger. The magic in the air is stronger. This makes no sense. The magic was fading not too long ago, Slowly but surely the world was dying, and now. It is vibrant and full of life. No something is fundamentally different. '

I pick up my gloves from the table and put them on, before turning to the homunculi who besides being scared by my spontaneous display is back to work.

"Lust I'm heading out. There's something I must look into to sate my budding curiosity."

Lust looked somewhat shocked by my statement. It's more emotion than I remember him showing. Interesting indeed. She bowed.

"Please be careful father."

Lust is a fairly tall and beautiful pale-skinned woman with wavy lower-back black hair that has short bangs parting at the center of her face while curving to the left and partially hiding her left eye, narrow mauve eyes, she has a curvy build with an Ouroboros mark located on her sternum, just above her large breasts.

She is constantly seen wearing a form-fitting black dress with a low backside and no straps, black high-heel boots, and elegant black gloves with red lines running up the length to end with circles. She was one of seven homunculi I made when I wanted helpers in my lab. They had to be unique and combat cable. Pride, Wrath, and Greed guard the headen entrance to the lab. Lust, Envy, Gluttony, and Sloth help with my work. Each of them was true chimeric homunculi as he had added something unique to each of their make-ups.

"Mmm. I'll cover my bases"

I glanced at the ring on my left middle finger. The ring of Ainz Ooal Gown. The last thing he gave me before he left.

{Teleporation}

-Scene Change-

The swamps were gone. Instead, the great tomb was surrounded by flat grasslands with a clear night sky. A large magic circle with alchemical symbols appeared and speared out until I reached a mile wide.

"Hmm, standard wildlife. No humanoid, demi-human, or heteromorphic races with range or my scans."

I could spread it wide but, a bird's eye view might give me a better idea of the situation. Afterward, he'd have to deal with the entrance of the great tomb being so exposed.

{Fly}

He ascended without stopping until he reached a few thousand feet. The alchemy symbols started rotating around his pupil.

"A small village. Judging by the live signs a human village. "

I check it out later. Judging by the fact the combined magical capacity of the village doesn't surpass a being at level 30. Their current threat to the Great Tomb is minimal. But spells and artifacts that mask, suppress, and hide magic aura are plenty. I descend back to the grassy plain. I need to do something about the lack of security on the surface.

I summoned my staff. I sense a familiar aura emerging from the entrance of Nazarick but pay it no mind and focus on the task at hand. I slammed the staff on the ground and a large gold and black transmutation array appeared. One after the other in suggestion mountains appears in a large circular formation in the shape of a crown around the entrance. Vegetation covered the new rock formation. With another tap, a deep and wide trench was created around the outer layer and spouts of water erupted to fill it. With a final tap, various symbols flashed on the surface of the rock formation before vanishing.

With the detection and trap spells in place, I turned to face the individual who stood a few meters behind me in silence.

"What is it Sebas?"

I asked the head butler of the great tomb. In his human form, Sebas Tian has the appearance of an elderly butler and he is dressed gracefully in his traditional black uniform. Sebas' hair is entirely white, just like his immaculate beard. He has visible wrinkles on his hollow face, which makes him seem gentle in appearance, but his eyes are as sharp as an eagle's.

He bowed before answering my question.

"Lord Momonga had asked me to access the situation of the surface. I reported the change in location to him. He's requested an in-depth report. I am to meet him on the 6th floor where he has requested Albedo to instruct the floor guardian except Gargantua and sir Victim.

"Hmm, Momonga-san is proactive as expected. Already taking steps to combat this situation we find ourselves in."

Sebas nodded in agreement. A new world. If my hypothesis is current and this is a new world then by my calculation there are only a few ways the entirety of the great tomb could have been transported here.

"Anything else?"

I said readdressing Sebas.

"Yes he requested your presence as well Sir Faust"

"Will the other hidden floor guardians be there"

"I can't say for certain sir. Sir Momomga could have instructed Albedo to be there after I left his presence to complete my given task"

"Hmm, indeed that is a possibility. Very well. Let's not keep the master waiting. "

My staff vanished and I began walking towards the entrance to Nazarick.

-Scene Change-

In this Colosseum known as the Amphitheater, the intruders would be the show's stars. The ones who will be watching their battles from the VIP box consist of Golems and members of Ainz Ooal Gown. The main event, of course, would be a brutal melee. Apart from the 1500-man invasion of Players and NPCs, every invader was said to meet their end here.

The Colosseum was oval, 180 meters on its long axis and 150 meters on its short axis. It was 40 meters tall and modeled after the arenas of the Roman Empire.

The Amphitheater is a large arena surrounded by several layers of an auditorium. This oval complex had a length of one hundred eighty meters on its long axis, a width of one hundred fifty meters on the short axis. As well as being the height of forty meters tall. It was modeled after the Colosseum of the Roman Empire. The audience consisted of numerous golems that acted as spectators.

While so, the sky shown here in the Colosseum could change depending on the time of day, even showing an actual sun with appropriate daylight effects.

A six-story complex where members of Ainz Ooal Gown would sit and oversee the invaders of Nazarick fight for their lives at their leisure.

There are multiple spells of it cast everywhere throughout the arena, illuminating the grounds in white light, so one could observe the entire Colosseum like it was during daytime inside rather than the present night sky depicted from above.

[Momonga POV]

Ending the message link I sigh internally. To think Faust was already up there. He was one of the many NPCs he was not intimately familiar with. He read his setting and his character info once or twice. And like the other were glad there was another alchemist in the guild. From what he remembered, Faust was one of the smartest and strongest. Capable of turning their entire battlefields against foes, created alchemical beings to serve an intended purpose to perfection, and sorcery capable of crushing crowds of level 90 players with ease.

-Small Time Skip-

"The defensive structure I erected, blends in naturally with the landscape as I scanned the flora and fauna and mimics the makeup. The rock formation is laid in detection runes for enemies miles away and for those who try to cloak themselves. As well as illusion runes should they scale it, they shall see nothing on the other side. There is also a barrier that prevents those capable of flying from entering from above.

I would like to erect a large forested area and summon the fogs of the faire wilds or the mist of Niffleheim. One turns their imagination against them as their fears drive them mad, and the other drains them of life slowly and eventually freezes them to death. Both will supply a steady stream of information and undead. The rumors will bring new individuals with new information and those who die get added to the master horde.

I can then summon monsters and beings from the respective realms as workers to collect the corpse and best the potential intruders"

Faust finished his report and pushed up his glassed casing the to shire.

"Simply brilliant Faust. To think so far ahead so soon. A most impressive showing my friend. Securing the entrance before it became an issue and relieved a potential burden from our master's shoulders."

Faust nodded with a small smile. Momong placed a hand on his chin and made it seem like he was pondering this new information. But internally he was panicking.

'Scary, so very very scary. He's thought this far ahead and he hasn't even first contact with the locals yet. What do I do? If I disagree my reasoning must be sound -' Before he could go into full panic mode a calming aura relieved him of those thoughts,

He cleared his throat which drew everyone's full attention.

"Go ahead and set up any defenses you deem necessary Faust. Any further ideas you have you can bring to me directly. As for the rest of your pledges have been heard. You may resume your duties"

Momonga then teleported away.

"Faust my friend, I have some work of my own to attend to. I would like to visit you in your lab later to discuss any other strategies you may have about the security of Nazarick and to get your opinion on some ideas of my own."

Demiurge waited for his answer with a smile on his face. Faust sighed knowing he was likely to be disturbed during the new experiment he had planned.

"Very well. I'll inform Wrath of your arrival"

Demiurge nodded before turning around and heading for the exit.

"I too shall take my leave. I have work to do before returning to my lab. It was nice seeing you again sister."

"You as well brother. And thank you for easing the burden on my beloved master. Ahh~ I wonder if he'll thank me since we're related."

"The hell he will you demon slut" shouted Shalltear in response. as both their auras began to rise and clash.

Faust raised his brow and looked at the twin dark elves. Mare was stuttering as he tried and failed to calm them down. Mare looked him in the eye and shrugged—an action he mimicked.

-Scene Change-

Now starting from the mountain peak growing outward was a mystical rainforest spanning 50 million acres. I was shrouded in an everpresent mist and the chatter or voices could be heard inviting you to head deeper in. Faust had summoned the trees and fog from the faire wilds and faires of varying types from that plain to enhance the area.

The mist in the deeper interior of the forest was from Niffleheim and had Draugr and other undead of varying ranks from that plain.

"Hmm yes, this will do. It will be interesting to see the result later on. Now back to the lab to get as much work done as I possibly can."
