The world view

A few weeks later 3rd person pov (reaction of the public)

"We see again a criminal apprehended by a supposed civilian. It is the 7th time that a video of a crime is posted on the internet just to be consequentially stopped these last few weeks. We have here with us a victim that was saved by our mysterious vigilante, who agreed to make an interview with us. Good morning Ms. Sarah!" The anchor of the journal said, directing the public attention to a middle-aged woman sited just to the side.

"Good morning to you too, Mr. Cesar." Said the diminutive woman.

"Can you walk us through your experience? if would not upset you of course." Cesar said professionally. He could not wait to break this scoop, all witnesses of the vigilante refused to give interviews do he would be the first to break the news to the general public.

"Well, I and my granddaughter were walking home from church, we were talking about the mass, my granddaughter is so cute, aways happy to talk to this old woman…" The small lady got on a tangent for a bit, making the face of the reporter twitch a bit.

"But then, we were stopped by a group of youths, they were making noise and being nuisances but I first thought that they were just normal young men trying to know the directions o something." She began to tell the important part of the story. This alerted the interviewer to ask a crucial question.

"When was that you knew that you were in trouble?" Cesar asked, leaning a bit forward to compel the guest to hurry up.

"I knew after they surrounded us and one of them came forward and asked for my purse, when he asked, no, when he demanded, I could not delude myself any longer that I was ok. I was scared for my grandchild life." She said with a bit of fear remembering the situation.

"And when was that the mysterious vigilante appeared?" The reported asked.

"He appeared when one of the other men approached and pulled on my purse, I was in shock and was holding it, so he was fighting me for it." The granny said looking at a distance, as if she was present again on the street where all this occurred.

"And how was that he saved you?" Cesar asked the crux of the matter.

"I don't know what he did but it didn't take long, one moment I was resisting my purse being taken, the other the one who was pulling was on the ground and I that lost the resistance feel as well. When I came to, I saw him coming to me and helping me up, he patted the head of my kid and told me instructions…" The old woman was saying when the tv was shut off.

"Hey, I was watching that." An officer said, turning to see his captain looking at him with furious eyes.

"I apologize Captain!" The officer stood up and saluted. He was spooked out of his stupor, he had heard his captain was in a meeting with the major, so it came as a surprise to him to see him here.

"This bastard is putting us in a bad light. He is getting these petty criminals and posting online telling us to arrest them. What are the police to him? A bunch of good for nothings?!" The captain was shouting his mouth of venting his frustration to the officers present.

"Calm down captain, he is just capturing petty criminals, what is a bunch of robberies anyway? We are the one caching the true dangerous criminals here. Give it a bit of time and he will get himself killed and we never gonna hear of this type of thing again." Said a aspirant officer, trying to get on his superior good graces.

"Yeah, it is impossible for one person to go against the true organized crime, he is getting popular just because he is going against nobodies." Another officer said in agreement. He just wanted to get his ass off the line of fire.

"Sigh, I guess it is true. But even then, we are responsible to apprehend him anyway. The major said that he doesn't want to see more of this type of thing the media is coming after him for answers he doesn't have." The captain took a deep breath, calming down finally.

Suddenly one officer pushed the door open in haste, taking deep breaths as if he came from a long distance running with all his might.

"It's bad. The vigilante posted another video, this time is not a nobody and it would surely make the news." He said after gaining his breath, looking at the faces of all that were present, confused by the look of resignation on the other officers.

"That bastard!" It was heard through out the precinct, a shout of fury from a voice that everybody knew.

*Paulo pov*

'Sigh, this could be a problem.' Paulo thought as he looked at the group of people on the ground. They were male, with ages in between 28 to 50, all of then were tied with their arms behind their backs and ankles tied together with their hands.

It was a ridiculous scene if not for the reason that they were tied like that. All of then seem to be part of a group of serial rapists and they were truly organized in their crimes. If he didn't have all of this are mapped and was no cautious some of them could have escaped.

'This is obviously a cell of a bigger group; I would need to interrogate one of them to know the whereabouts of the rest.' Paulo thought. The problem with this is that he didn't have a place to conduct this interrogation and he didn't have time to do it here as the police was surely coming to apprehend those guys.

The victim must already have been called, so he posted the footage of them trying to violate the girls on the streets as some of them took ropes to tied them to bring them to God know where.

'I will have to find a space to call a base of operations. I need to get more information.' Paulo thought as he heard the sirens of the police cars approaching.

He sped up to get away as he thought of the unfortunate events of tonight. He was patrolling normally thinking that all his action would be just the normal cases of robbery. But fate had other plans and thrust him on a case of a planned assault on woman. He was searching for a suspect of a similar crime but he couldn't have guessed that a group of this size was responsible.

He could clearly see that they had command and leaders in between then. So maybe he will have to investigate this particular case more thoroughly.

'Now that I know mother fuckers, you will not escape.' He thought as he climbed buildings getting distance from the crime scene.

(AN: Yeah, Tried something different today. Now our beloved mc has to contend with the law and the criminals at the same time. I was thinking, what type of despicable crimes that we all know happen and still are covered in shadows in today's society? An Answer came to me immediately; 'Sex trafficking'.

The island of the guy who surely committed suicide could not be the only one after all, we all know that there are perverts walking among us that fund these types of organizations. I saw when that film about child trafficking came out the us media was quick to say that the movie was racist or some other bullshit, so let's explore the topic a bit, you are all free to say your view on such topic.
