A proposal

The whole environment all of a sudden turned silent. Inwardly Olivia was getting more and more confident on noticing the silence. She thought that Elijah was at the end going to agree. But her face turned pale on hearing the mocking laughter from Elijah.

"Ohh really! You really think that I am going to talk to Aaric to forgive your son, are you?" Elijah raised his brows with amusement flashing in his eyes. He had not expected that this lady could speak in such a gentle tone as well. Since his childhood he has seen her always shouting and even sometimes he was beaten by sticks from her. Seeing her in this another form was very amusing for him.

"Son... It's your brother, you should talk for him at least for once. Just let this incident pass and I'll make sure that he won't be getting into other things." Edward stated while looking into Elijah's eyes. He was more acting as if he was begging and was in a quite a helpless state.
