Chapter 2 Escaping

The wave of the old memories Kenny remembered triggered something in him as he began to release a wave of energy, knocking not only the guard but the slave in the room.

Kenny knew that the wave energy he released was Conquer Haki. he saw his surroundings to see all the other people in the room pass out with foam on their mouths, but then he saw the old man in front of him still sitting only now with a grin on his face.

"Kyakyakyakyakyakya, look at what you've done boyo, you have unlocked something rare. Something that qualifies you as a king" The old man laughed.

"Looks like you've given this old man a new reason to live." the old man continues before Kenny sees him get up and take off his shackle and chain.

The old man came to Kenny, but Kenny was still weak. The old man takes off Kenny's chain and shackles; he then takes Kenny and carries him on his shoulder.

Suddenly a sword appears in the old man's hand, then he uses it to destroy the wall in the room, revealing the blue sky.

The old man then jumps from the hole into the sea, but before touching the seawater, a boat appears right under him.

Using the small boat, the old man manages to escape with Kenny without anybody noticing them.

While all of that happened, Kenny was still conscious; he knew that the old man was different from the other slave, but to think its that easy for him to escape made him wonder who is this old man.

While sailing, Kenny continues to recall his memories. After he found himself in that jail cell, he was sold as a slave. He then finds himself in an auction where he was bought and taken to Marijoa.

He then remembers that he was taken to Saint Jalmack. Saint Jalmack gives Kenny to his young son.

The son was happy to get Kenny as his slave and then brand Kenny with the slave mark on Kenny's chest.

Kenny's torture then began; for years, he was beaten, cut, and stabbed. And one day, where Kenny almost dies, Saint Jalmack's son forces Kenny to eat weird fruit that causes Kenny's Injury to heal and changes Kenny to a hybrid of man and tiger.

Kenny became a Zoan Devil Fruit user; with his new look and his ability to heal himself, Kenny, Torture kept getting worse.

Recalling the memories now, Kenny realized what the old man and the guard were saying before. He had eaten a Zoan Devil Fruit that gave him the ability to change into a hybrid of man and tiger.

He was always ordered to maintain the form, or he would get a beating if he changed back.

But in Kenny's memories, they always say Kenny got a normal tiger zoan devil fruit, but he has a feeling that is not right.

Kenny and the old man arrive at a deserted island.

Kenny then proceeds to ask the old man some questions.

"Thank you for saving me, but if I can ask who are you, sir? and why did you save me?" Kenny says, trying to be polite as he can.

The old man then laughs, "Kyakyakyakyakyakya, don't act like that boyo; I save you because you remind me of my old crewmate. Before, I saw you as a lifeless husk already given up on life, but when you release that wave, I can see your will to survive has been litten."

"What you have in you is the qualifications to be a king, a rare Haki calls Conquer Haki just like my old captain," The old man answered.

"Your old Captain?" Kenny ask.

"Yes, I was a part of the greatest pirate that ever sailed the sea, The Rocks Pirate led by Captain Rock D Xebec. Just like you, he also has the Conquer Haki."

"Your Captain is Rock D Xebec!!!" Kenny said as he was shocked to hear the old man that was a slave like him was actually part of Rocks Pirates like Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom.

"Yes, I was part of the Rocks Pirate alongside the now Yonko Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom. I might not be as strong as them, but I'm still part of their crew."

"Then what happens? Why did you become a slave?"

"I got injured on that day the god valley incident when the fight between Roger Pirate and Rocks Pirate happened, and when both Garp and Roger finally kill my captain, I was devastated, then I was taken by the Marine."

"Then why didn't you escape?"

"Because I don't want to, I lost all my ambition when my captain died, but you have given me a new reason to live."

"And that reason is?" Kenny ask.

"To train you, of course. I might not be as strong as Kaido or Whitebeard by I'm still a crew on the Rocks Pirate."

"But why?"

"Because you feel similar to my captain."

"Okay then," Kenny accepts.
