~Kuro POV (10 years old) ~

God damn it!

Why did the mission just have to give me straight away when I just started to get some forces and I just had to find the Relic of Wisdom didn't I but I didn't eat the Raki Raki no Mi to find this lamp?

Note to self-eat that fruit to bullshit my way with luck and steal Salem plot luck bullshit considering she is the one to live through forever.

Sigh no use whing about this its better prepare for this if I had more time to train my Extreme Logia Devil Fruit then this wouldn't be a problem, but it looks like I have no time for that to happen.

I go forward and grab the relic from the treasury and put it in my inventory and asked Morgiana a question, "Morgiana would your people leave this if I ordered it or would a Grimm invasion comes consisting of 200 of them, would you?"

When I dropped the bomb on her she panicked, and Cinder and Ram looked surprised at the sudden proclamation of a Grimm invasion.

When Morgiana heard my question, she was asking me for answers instead of answering mine, "What do you mean there is a Grimm invasion leader!"

I sigh and give her an answer while expressing a frown, "Just as I said there will be a Grimm invasion because my Semblance notified me that they will come for this relic that apparently were given to the gods to their leader."

Morgiana was just getting scared even more because the exisistance of a Grimm leader but I ask her again, "For now don't worry about that will worry about that later but tell me would the Faunus here leave if that was the case."

Morgiana just shakes her head no to me, god damn it!

If I were to guess it's probably because of their pride or their unwillingness to leave their place they call home.

Then I hear Morgiana explain to me the reason why she believes that her people won't leave her home, "Sorry leader Kuro… we would rather fight this place because this place is our home and we can't just abandon it! This place is only thing we have left other than our people that have been struggling here we just can't get rid of a place to call home leader!"

Ok then I guess running away is no longer an option if I want to abandon which I won't considering I need people to form my own Kingdom…

Now that I think about it this could be the perfect opportunity to get them to install loyalty to me if we can win the Grimm invasion then they can spread the word of my creditability of how I would protect them…

I express a smirk towards to Morgiana then I say to her, "Very well then Morgiana if the option is to fight then will fight can you bring in the other 35 other Faunus hunters to the center of the village, I will make an announcement."

With that Morgiana left to inform the rest while Cinder comes to me asking, "Sigh… let me guess it's a mission right but this were facing a Grimm invasion, right?"

I look towards my best friend with a smile and explain to Cinder, "Yup! Cindy and the rewards this time are really good this time around plus this could be a good opportunity to spread the word and install loyalty to me if we manage to win against them."

Then I look over to Ram while she expresses a face of doubt, "Are you sure Kuro sir? Are we capable of defeating a Grimm invasion of 200 while we have 42 members including ourselves into the force are, we strong enough?"

Hahaha!

Oh, Ram she forgot we have another force already under us we may be outnumbered but what the Grimm don't have are Devil Fruit Users in this fight especially against Logia, Paramecia, and Zoans in this fight.

I look towards Ram with a smile on my face while I say to her full of confidence, "No we have the Automata's on our side consisting of 100 of them so we have 142 members on our side but the robots will do long range while the 42 are going to be close range against the Grimm."

Ram nods her head, but I hear Cinder say to me with some clear doubt on the other Faunus, "Ok Kuro but what about the other Faunus though? They don't strike me as strong only Morgiana as an exception, but the rest are just cannon fodder how are you going to pull this off?"

That is a good point best buddy, but I already foresaw this happening just that I didn't expect this to happen this soon.

When Cinder made that question I already have an answer for that while revealing the Kobu Kobu no Mi, "Actually Cinder I already have an answer for that actually during the shop I made sure to get this Devil Fruit at all cost since it will be become the greatest weapon against the Grimm."

Now I see clear confusion on their faces so I explain to them the effectiveness of this fruit, "The Kobu Kobu no Mi may not be much on its own but the true power of this Devil Fruit allows the user to encourage and rally people to awaken their latent potential to fight."

Ram asks me a question on how this fruit is worth it, "Sorry Kuro sir, but how could encouragement be used as a power? I mean encouragement is good and all but how could this be effective against the Grimm?"

True by itself it's not much since it needs others for it to work but that what's make this fruit especially dangerous, "Ram what if the user was to awaken the battle potential of an ordinary civilian to an incredible fighter with just sticks alone they are able to beat up a Grimm and win."

Now I see that two of them are getting the picture of how dangerous this Kobu Kobu no Mi fruit really is, "Or in this case if this was used for training if they are encouraged then they will be up again full of energy always getting stronger just by listening to words alone or encourage them to end their life with words alone if they listen."

Now the two of them are getting scared even I am to since this power just uses words to convince someone easily.

The biggest strength of this fruit is the ability to increase other people's fighting spirit and physical strength by simply encouraging them with words but what if the user was extremely negative words it will still work since they are encouraging that person to do negative actions if they listen.

Then I finally reveal to them the reason why this fruit is the perfect weapon against the Grimm showing a smirk across my face, "The Kobu Kobu no Mi has the power rally together anyone or destroy the group if they listen and as a result it will become effective. If a person were to spread hope, then it would be the end for the Grimm since they are afraid if we ever unite would mean their end."

When I was done, I see Cinder and Ram were surprised at the true power of this fruit and shiver at thought they had to face an enemy with that power if they were convincing and charismatic, they would turn over to the enemy side…

Shiver… that truly is a dangerous fruit!

With that I made sure to get another Curse Remover ready and I ate the Kobu Kobu no Mi while drinking the potion if I want to have the Faunus ready.

When I was done with that, I heard Morgiana coming towards us saying to me, "Leader Kuro, the 35 Faunus Fanalis hunters are here, I already gave them what's to happen and they wish to hear your plan on how you will accomplish this."

I nodded my head to get ready while I say to Ram and Cinder with a determined tone, "So then are you two ready to help make history happen?"

Cinder laughs a bit at me soon replies, "Haha! Yeah were coming with you Kuro just make sure you have a speech ready ok?"

Ram giggles a little at me but still respond, "Hehe! Sure, thing Kuro sir, just make sure to be convincing ok."

Yeah, yeah, I get the point already soon I started to walk towards the entrance and be ready to spout complete words of encouragement.

When I got outside the rest of the Faunus hunters were gathered around while I look at everyone here I begin my speech, "Hunters of the Fanalis tribe as you have heard a Grimm invasion is coming in front of your Village today now tell me would you die here to defend your home or flee in front of danger!"

There was faces of fear and despair written on their faces I understand that they are afraid but…

I listen in to everyone proclaiming that they would rather fight than run away now then time to see the magic of the Kobu Kobu no Mi in action, "Very well then we will fight these monsters of Grimm but as we are now we will die if we don't get strong but hear this now Fanalis members this won't be the day we die!"

That seems to get everyone attention I think my voice works out for them the faces filled with despaired is changed into hope, "If we wish to survive another day then we must become strong!! Strong enough that even the Grimm would… no fear us as a whole?!!"

My words are making them feel anger and pride raising inside of them Cinder and Ram noticed that the group of fearful Faunus before them turned into fearless warriors not carrying about the invasion of Grimm there realizing that the Kobu Kobu no Mi is a weapon that will exterminate the Grimm if everyone were to rally and stay united.

I continued to my speech full of conviction, "Now hear me my warriors we will survive! We will live!! And we will give fate the good old fashion fuck you because we stand here proud, united, and alive!!!"

With that everyone in the tribe started to cheer giving me roars of life not wanting to die and defy fate…

Maybe I should do this speech thing more often but for now I think it's time that we begin training everyone here.

Still at the very least I hope nothing unexpected pops up during the two weeks I really need to focus on everyone training and my own as well.

~Third POV~

Meanwhile with Ozpin Group have finally made it to the dessert area of Anima where resides the Badlands a place of the lawless and barbaric is common in this place.

They were just dropped off from the Bullhead they got from Ozpin as well as received a full month of supply of unperishable food and water that will last them for a good while.

The pilot in the Bullhead asks Summer and Qrow in a worried voice, "Are you sure you two want to come here? There is a way to back out of this place since this is the lawless territory for the barbaric and exile alike."

Summer looks over to her ancient compass showing the right direction to where the Spring Maiden is since the Autumn is in Vale training and the Winter is being kept protected already mastered her powers.

With a sigh Summer looks over to the pilot and politely says to him, "Sorry but this the right way was going sir, just make sure to come back here in one-month time to pick us up since our scrolls don't work here!"

The pilot only nodded his head and left the area leaving behind Qrow and Summer in the Badlands searching for the Spring Maiden.

Qrow takes a swing on his alcohol and says to Summer, "Hey Summer are you sure that this is the right place were going? You sure the Spring Maiden and Kuro is here in the Badlands?"

Summer nods her head to Qrow with a smile on her face keeping her enthusiasm, "Yeah Qrow where following them correctly according to the compass that Ozpin given us, but it looks like that they stopped somewhere ahead of us."

With that Qrow brings out a map provided from Lionheart about the Badlands area currently since the Badlands is a place that changes happen a lot of times being that a group dies or is reformed into another one.

With that they both looked at the map then to the compass after looking at their direction Qrow points out where there heading to next, "Well according to the map and the compass the two were looking for should be… the Fanalis Tribe? Well at least were good from the rest considering that place consider strength as a key factor in that place it'll take us about 5 days to reach the village."

Summer looks confuse at Qrow him seeing this he further elaborates why, "Don't worry Summer the people there are a bit crazy but good people if your strong enough it just happens that I had a mission there maybe a year or two back."

Summer now understand why Qrow knows then he says to Summer with a worried voice, "So then Summer how are we going to convince this Kuro kid to join us anyway from the looks of things he is already in deep how can we convince him?"

When Summer heard of that she wasn't sure herself considering if he awakened his Semblance and aura during the attack and was found by some to mentor his ability…

She didn't want to think of how the poor child must have endured but they can't just send him to his real family since they clearly shown their disinterest towards his looks and not another orphanage since he may have been traumatized from all his friends being killed in front of Grimm…

After thing for a while Summer finally made two decisions to Qrow that might convince them to join them, "How about if me or Ozpin takes Kuro under our care someone like Ozpin might be able to help the poor child and if not I don't mind another family member to have around. I just hope Ruby and Yang play nice."

Qrow just stands their shock but smiles at Summer of her positivity, "Heh… Good idea Summer if that kid has nothing to go back to maybe providing him an actual home would do him some good. You always did see the positive side of things Summer."

Summer just looks at Qrow with a smile then started walking carrying their belongs while she says to him, "Well someone has to and besides what we do in our life as Huntsmen and Huntresses is bring justice and protection to anyone and I think Kuro just needs some protection is all."

Qrow laughs at that but agrees whole heartly since what they were doing is saving Remnant from the evil that is Salem and rescuing a kid in a process…

As for Salem Group Hazel and Silver were currently riding on the Dessert Varity Grimm in disguise called the Dromedon they are a camel-like Grimm that can spit acidic venom they have armored humps.

As the two were riding the Dromedon Silver talks to Hazel with clear annoyance in her voice, "Human, the signal from my sonar shows that the Kuro and the Maiden have stopped in a village of the Fanalis a group of my people's hunters."

Hazel nodded his head in understanding then asks her with a calm voice, "Silver, are you sure you are able to convince this Kuro to join our side with mistress Salem."

Silver thinks for a second but laughs at Hazel question clearly already having a plan in place, "Human that is the stupidest thing to say to me! Hahaha! Yes, I already have a plan in motion I'll simply use what our Faunus kind have that bind us together…"

Silver takes a few moments to collect her thought together but soon shows a crazy grin, "Our hate for the humans is what we share… since his parents are humans, he will easily agree with me after all he and I are very much similar in that regard."

Yes, Silver has been abandoned by her biological human parents and treated her as dirt till one fateful day Silver Fang encountered a Seer and soon Salem took her under her wing creating her as the perfect pawn that she can mold her to her liking and made her finally join her group and her loyalty by ending her parents to fully join.

But Hazel then says to her still in a calm tone, "yeah but what if he doesn't agree to join us and give up the Spring Maiden as well as the Relic in the process?"

Silver stops her crazy grin then shows a cold look on her face while replying coldly, "If he doesn't our mistress then we simply leave and let the Grimm invasion occur. Mistress Salem has already notified me with the Seer we have till two weeks before it hits the village and when everything is done, we get the Relic."

Hazel just sighs to himself wondering why he joined Salem but was then reminded that it was Ozpin fault for creating Huntsmen and Huntresses for killing his younger sister Gretchen Rainheart.

Hazel Rainheart thought to himself with clear anger shown on his face no longer calm, 'I may have sold myself to Salem, but at least she showed me the truth… Ozpin I will make sure you will die first if it's the last thing I'll do.'

Unaware that the kid there trying to save, or recruit is someone above their powers could handle even if they work together.

Kuro is not someone to let people get away knowing his secret its either they join him, or they will mark this as their final mission antagonist and protagonist alike in the end of the day to Kuro they were just people not a story anymore.
