Chapter 28: The Factions Hunts Kuro!

~Third POV~

In the Beacon Headmaster's office was Ozpin and Glynda talking to the rest of the Headmasters in their respective schools.

The Headmaster of Shade Academy in Vacuo, Professor Theodore has dark, close-cut hair, which is almost shaved off, and a checkered vest shows off his wiry frame thin but with sharp lines of muscle like he had been chiseled from stone

Theodore wears an ankle-length, grey-blue cape likened to the color of a stormy sky which is clasped onto his shoulders with a silver chain, a silver belt with a round buckle, matching boots, and bright white slacks with deep side pockets. Theodore also wears red gloves which are decorated in Dust crystals; his weapon of choice.

This outfit is designed to draw attention to himself, which he manages to make work despite being conceptually ridiculous for a man in his forties to pull off.

The Headmaster of Atlas Academy in Atlas, General Ironwood is dressed and clean, much like Ozpin. He wears a white overcoat, with a gray undercoat, a black sweater, a red necktie, and a white glove on his right hand. His suit pants share the same color as his overcoat and are tucked into silver boots accented in gray.

His hair is black, with some gray areas, while his eyebrows are solid black. He has a strip of silver metal above his right eyebrow, a neurotransmitter that helps him operate the robotic parts of his body.

The other Headmaster of Haven Academy in Mistral, Leonardo Lionheart was looking very scared at the other three Headmasters with only them on the screen while Ozpin sees this all from his Office as the host of this meeting looking very calm but silently angry.

When everyone was present Theodore was the first to speak, "Ah, hello other Headmasters how has it been Ozzy boy, Iron boy, and scaredy cat it has been far too long since we last spoke! Hahaha!"

As usual the very high spirited in Ozpin Group Theodore was the first to respond in a joking matter irritating the three other Headmasters considering he's the oldest among them.

Then the ever so serious Ironwood was the first to reply to Theodore, "Ugh… it's certainly a welcome from you as well Theo, but we have to be serious here! Oz must have summoned all of us so this meeting must be important that it requires all of us?!"

Theodore just shrugs his shoulders at Ironwood returning to the seriousness of why they have been called late in the night, "Yeah, yeah metal boy I know there has to be a reason but from what I see is that Lionheart here is shaking in his boots so I thought I can break the ice with a little humor young greenhorn."

With that Ozpin begins to address the issue to everyone clearly by getting their attention, "Cough… thank you, Theodore, your concern is appreciated but now for the reason why I called you here today is a matter that is the utmost urgency… the relic of Wisdom and the Spring Maiden have gone missing."

With that, all the Headmasters went silent from the sudden news of the disappearance of the maiden and relic and then turn their attentions to Lionheart making him feel nervous.

The first to respond was Ironwood asking Ozpin in disbelief, "Wait a minute Ozpin… you mean to say that the relic and the maiden have suddenly gone missing! How could that have happened?!"

Then Lionheart begins to explain what happened during his watch with a look of shame written all over, "Ironwood I'll explain what happens… from the earlier in the morning today I managed to get the Spring Maiden again after an attempt of escaping Haven Academy…"

Professor Theodore just narrows his eyes at Lionheart since he always believes to protect the students is more important even going so far as to gather all the information of the other students from the other Academies… for safety reasons of course…

At that sentence, Theodore makes a question with a hard look on his face towards Lionheart, "So then scaredy cat why was the Spring Maiden so adamant on leaving your school huh? You should have just given her some freedom if she feels trapped?"

Lionheart shakes his head no and further explained why, "I really couldn't do that with Sakura since her Semblance Petals lets her transform into Sakura Petals and flown off to the wind carrying her away from the safest place she was in… or I guess at this point it was a safe place…"

With that Lionheart continues to explain while Ozpin and Ironwood paid close attention to his explanation with a seriousness in his voice, "But we're getting sidetrack here, from I can tell that the culprit managed to get my pocket watch already fully aware that it's the key needed for the elevator leading to the vault…"

Then Ironwood was the next to question how the culprit managed to do this, "Ok but how exactly did the culprit know where the vault is and how did he manage to escape your security surely you had measures in place if you had alarm?"

Lionheart looks over to Ironwood on his screen then started to upload from what the cameras caught on the culprit, "Actually the security couldn't really track this person since his method of escape was this just look at what the cameras showed you'll understand once I upload it."

With that all the Headmasters saw the uploaded image of Kuro fully disguised and quickly hearing the late Spring Maiden, "…You mean to tell me… that my whole reason for here was to open up a stupid LAMP?!!!!..."

All the Headmasters except for Lionheart and Ironwood were a bit surprised to know what the relic was since it was kept a secret to keep it hidden for each Headmaster unless something important has happened.

But they all ignored it for now since they now saw the culprit grabbing the air… then open it up like a door and escape!

When the other Headmasters saw this, they were surprised, and soon Theodore was the first to respond with a clear hint of surprise in his voice, "What! Oh, I see now the culprit managed to teleport so that's how he escaped from you scaredy cat! Hahahaha?!!! But that does leave us a problem for us doesn't…"

While the other Headmasters didn't respond their silence was enough to get his answer, but Ozpin noticed a strange sound and ask Lionheart, "Leonardo can you replay the scene, but this time can you max the volume?"

When Lionheart heard the request, he did as he was told and replayed the scene again, but this time Ironwood noticed it as well and pointed it out, "Is… that a sound of a door opening and closing?"

This time everyone listens closely and heard the sound of a door opening and closing again then Ozpin narrows his eyes at the recorded video and says, "Looks like this person has a telltale sign when he uses his Semblance. Well now with this small piece of information we can begin to search for this mysterious person."

The rest of the Headmasters nodded their heads in agreement before they left the meeting Theodore says to the group full of youth, "Well then youngsters and scaredy cat I better start looking at my end in Vacuo to see if he or she pop up here good luck to you three."

Ironwood also responds before he leaves with a serious face, "Very well I'll see if this person has been at Atlas, I hope you three find the culprit as well, this is Ironwood signing out."

Then Ozpin and Lionheart were left and he looks at him with a frown and says to him, "Lionheart I'll be sending some trusted people I know of to help you search for this culprit and retrieve the maiden and relic at all cost. I also hope you start your search as well."

Lionheart only nods his head with shame since he allowed this failure to happen under his watch leaving behind Ozpin and Glynda alone.

Glynda asks Ozpin with a voice filled with concern, "Ozpin… how did the culprit know of the relic I thought it was only kept secret with the Headmasters?"

Ozpin looks up to the fragmented moon and replies to Glynda with a confused voice, "Honestly Glynda I have no clue as well? During the meeting, I saw that Leonardo hasn't lied to us and he genuinely didn't know how this happens, but we do know that Salem just launched her attack."

Then he turns over to his office phone and started to dial on the right people for the job, "Also… I think these two will help us out the search for this person Summer Rose and Qrow Branwen when they learn what is at stake. They are the best in their fields hunting someone and there are the two people I have the most trust in right now to get this mission I have for them to be done."

With that Ozpin started to call out his big guns straight off the bat catching the culprit…

Meanwhile with Salem…

When Salem was seated in her room filled with four of her most 'trusted' people Hazel, Arthur, Tyrian, and Silver Tooth a White Fang member undercover, with her on the table and a few of her occult followers in the background.

Hazel is a tall and muscular middle-aged man. He is also unusually large and broad, as he is shown to stand 6'4". He has short brown hair, a beard, and hazel eyes. His hairy arms have some large scars running up them, a result of using Dust infusions.

Hazel wears a two-tone olive-green coat over a black 3/4 sleeve shirt, and a large belt. His pants were black, with a pouch strapped to each pants leg, and his boots are brown with white fronts. Some of his scars near the edges of his sleeves are visible.

Arthur is a tall middle-aged man with a slim build and slightly tanned skin. He has short black and gray hair as well as a thick mustache and eyebrows, and green eyes.

Originally, Arthur wears a grey overcoat with yellow linings, a yellow dress shirt, and a black necktie. His pants are the same color as his overcoat. His yellow-buttoned undercoat and fingerless gloves match his cordovan shoes, under which he wears yellow socks.

Tyrian is a pale man with gold eyes and a brown ponytail braided to resemble a scorpion's tail. He wears a white sleeveless jacket with leather belts strapped to it, along with white pants. His jacket is left open, exposing his bare chest, which is crisscrossed with prominent scars. His arms are covered with purple bandages and leather vambraces. He also wears leather boots covering his entire shin with knee guards.

On each earlobe is a silver, ring-shaped earring, and near the top of his left ear is another matching earring. Tyrian is also a Faunus that has animal trait as a scorpion stinger that protrudes from his back. When not in use, he disguises it by wrapping it around his belt. His eyes can also change color from gold to purple.

Silver Fang is a girl Faunus with the animal characteristic of a Saber Tooth Tiger with tiger tail showing, she wears a uniform that consists of a Grimm Mask that covers her eyes and forehead and a uniform consisting of a white sleeveless jacket, a sleeveless black hood, and black pants.

She also has black fingerless gloves, metal foot guards, and boots. The White Fang's logo is prominently displayed on the back of the uniform. Salem symbol is shown on the left of her jacket arm symbol.

When Salem arrived, they were all waiting patiently as Salem begins to explain the news, she got from her undercover rat Lionheart while all four of them were surprised at the sudden turn of events.

Arthur Watts only confirmed to further agree with Salem while saying to the group, "Interesting… this person already seems to know how to get the relic and get the Spring Maiden as well as getaway I must say that is impressive."

Tyrian makes his comment about the culprit as well, "Hehehehehe! Yes, he is certainly impressive! To be able to find out the secret is no small feat and he's not even with the Queen's enemy! Hahahaha!"

Salem raises her at Tyrian to signify him to be quiet to which he responded immediately to her Queen's request.

Salem agrees with what Arthur says and replies showing a small smirk towards him, "Yes this person would most certainly be useful in our goals… Silver and Hazel I need you two to find out where this person is and bring him or her here."

Salem then looks over to Silver Fang and says to her with a sweet tone, "Also, Silver I must ask you to not kill the person in question if his human alright dear? It is fine as long as he's an enemy and doesn't join but you must restrain yourself."

Silver just looks at Salem and nods her head agreeing to the terms then waits for her to finish, "Also Hazel you must be very careful getting this person since they can escape almost instantly I suggest you find a way to restrain him before doing anything do I make myself clear?"

Hazel looks towards her and says to Salem in a respectful tone, "Very well mistress Salem it shall be done as soon as possible."

With that Salem was glad then they started to discuss how the info gathering of her Occult has been going along in some parts all over Remnant that even Ozpin is unaware of its existence…

As for the culprit Kuro was doing at this moment, he was staring dumbly at the screen telling him that he unlocked another function in the system, "Huh?"

"[Congratulation you have unlocked the Fusion Function of the One Piece System for finding two compatible Devil Fruits in different categories you have unlocked this function!]"
