Chapter 19: Next Step…

~Kuro POV (10 years old) ~

I manage to see the rest of my group back to Re: Onigashima Tower and the giant-sized water bottle and food rations shadowing the tower…

Someone really needs to do something about that, and that person is not going to be me.

With that we all went to the tower and go through the stairs to the top floor of the building but along the way I see that the twins were busy on their own way.

When me and Cinder were walking up to the tower, we couldn't help but see a lot of Dust Crystals of variety in one of the floors as well as some books that I never seen before.

Now I was curious on what they did over the last year and what kind of info they have collected over the year.

When we got to the top of the tower, we all sat down on the floor and begin talking, "So then Rem and Ram was the year of collecting info and borrowing the stuff below the floors here successful Nya~?"

Rem seems proud of the fact and starts to explain, "Huh! Kuro sir, we managed to get enough info about the Anima contient and some valuable places we can start our own village as well all the stuff we sto… borrowed over the year!"

I heard that stole part of the word there Rem how could she have fallen… I'm so proud of her right now but first…

I ask the two of them with a curios voice, "Ok then what exactly has happened during this year and what are some places we have that can be a good start for us to build our village then Kingdom?"

Ram was the next person to answer for me while bring out an edited version of the Anima continent, "Well over the year me and Rem were able to find suitable areas for we can try to build from the forest area of our previous home village…"

I see Ram points to a village that was once her home then her finger points to the dessert area in the Badlands are, "…The dessert area of the Badlands where there is a village of hunters called Fanalis a group of Lion Faunus…"

After that she points on over to the winter area of Anima on a village called Icefall, "…or the winter area in the north of a village close to Lake Matsu calling themselves the Icefall."

I raise my eyebrow at that and was curious about the place, "Icefall? What kind of place is that if it requires us to rebuild in that area Ram?"

Ram gives me a simplified version of the reason apparently that place is having a hard time for a source of food and capable fighters to defend it from the constant attacks of Lancers, Beowolf's, and Yeti's attacking the place.

When I hear of that place I think over the options of that place, 'Ok with my abilities I should pretty much clear anything as well as help out with the food supply, but the question is would they follow me is no hmm…'

With that I then ask Ram, "Ok so what exactly is the Badlands I know so far that it is a lawless place but what does the village of Fanalis would we need from there exactly?"

Rem was the next to explain with a scared voice, "Well… the village we found isn't exactly great but in the environment but when me and Ram looked more into the village we found out its probably going to make it easy for you to accomplish since your strong enough to get it done."

Ok something is up here, and Rem voice is scared of the place so what exactly made that village there in the Badlands so special?

When I had a confused look Ram sighs and begins to explain, "Sigh… Kuro that village only has one rule in that place regardless of age is that if you beat the leader you become the leader of that tribe and they follow but the problem is their current leader is someone our own age."

What?

They have someone as a kid act like their leader in that area isn't that much for a tribe to function?

Rem looking at me and Cinder confusion she begins to explain, "Well apparently it was made recent over half a month ago when she became in charge of the place of the Faunus tribe there and I have to admit she is very strong too."

Ok where have I heard of something like this before about a kid taking over a place that stands in place for a long time in only to know that a kid is in charge huh…

With that info given I ask the twin's a bit more of their home, "Ok so what exactly is their lifestyle is and why should we build there anyway?"

Ram then begins to explain to me their area, "Well there homes are made of stone homes and dried up plants huts and the reason we can build there is because if you defeat their leader in a one on one fight you get full control of the village with everyone following you without reason and remain loyal until you are defeated by them in a challenge."

I nod my head in understanding of what is going on alright then I guess it should be easy with me but that doesn't explain why a young girl is in charge of the place?

With that in mind I ask Ram, "Ok but why does a young girl is in charge? Couldn't have there been any adults strong in that area?"

But what I got as a response was a shock to me because I didn't even consider the idea.

Ram gives me the answer me and Cinder weren't expecting, "That's because from what we overheard from the other tribes in the Badlands is that they are dying out and the young girl is the only one that has been properly leading them again but they are stubborn asking for help unless challenged but from the way their going they will die out."

Ram also gives me another piece of information that is another reason why the Fanalis are dying out, "But the main reason why is because it's a lack of food and water for them to survive and I think the environment as well has to play in this since we saw them in a dehydrated state."

Damn I guess when they stick to their guns, they will keep it with them till they die over…

After thinking about the options I have I think to myself, 'Ok from what I can tell if I don't go to one of the other village then there is a high chance of that place being eliminated before I could do anything to help hmm…'

I weigh what to do next as much as helping the people of Icefall would be nice it wouldn't do me any good since I can't have them stay loyal under me, and the original village of Onigashima is possible but with the lack of people it would be hard…

I guess I really don't have much of a choice in the matter now do I.

I need people to stay loyal to me and they have to be strong as well I guess getting a tribe filled with hunter would definitely be nice and I could get another strong ally as well.

With that in mind however I need to make some quick pitstops here in Anima forest and in Mistral Academy.

I look over to the group and say to the three of them, "Alright looks like the next place to go to is the hunter tribe village of Fanalis in the Badlands, but first I want to make some quick pitstops here in Anima first if you guys don't mind right?"

Well looks like I shocked them again, but Cinder was the first to speak first, "Ok? What pitstops are you going first Nero?"

I smirk at this so I say to them the existence of the maidens only I don't want to scare them with Salem existence till they grow up first, "Well alright when me and Raven were alone she revealed to me that there is actual maidens from the story about them being real and also says that one of them is being held at Mistral Academy so I was planning to get her join me Nya~?"

While they were thinking of the idea, they were somewhat unconvinced, but they nodded their heads in agreement since the Mistral Academy is just ahead in our destination to the dessert area of the Badlands, but we have to get through Kuroyuri.

I was glad that were going to pass Kuroyuri first before Mistral Academy since I might get a chance to get Nora and combine that when I unlock her aura and Semblance, she'll be a force that will be hard to stop with the Vari Vari no Mi.

If my guess in age is right then Nora should be around the age of 4 or 5 years old at this point which makes her around this time be poor I think, I really don't know the age when she was a homeless girl when they first showed it in RWBY?

With that I say to the group in front of me, "Alright looks like we have our next course of action before we leave to the Badlands how about we stop at Kuroyuri to see if we can get some more Lien when I use my Moa Moa no Mi to enlarge the dust crystal to make it profitable right Nya~?"

I'm really hoping they take the bait here since I personally want to see what the place looks like before it was destroyed by the Nuckelavee and hope Nora is there for me to recruit with the promise of safety.

When I see their reactions, they shake their heads yes in agreement… yes!!!

I clap at that and say to the three of them, "Alright then its time to hit the hay right better to get a good rest before we make our move right girls Nya~."

They nodded their heads and Rem brings over Cinder grabbing her by the shoulder, "Ok in that case Cinder come with us to the lower room of the tower we can have our bathing time there and Kuro you can wait till where done ok."

I agreed by giving them a soldier salute and with that they left so I now have some piece and I look over the Devil Fruit of the Vari Vari no Mi to see the descriptions and smile at its effects the perfect fruit for Nora.
