Chapter 18: Promise Day!

~Third POV~

In the middle of the night of the Brawen Tribe every single one of their members was asleep in their own tents except for those that have their night shift in the case of when a Grimm horde attacks, they notify everyone.

In front of the gate door leading towards the entrance of the base there were tow guards talking about their day, "Man why did we have to be the ones on shift?"

The other bandit looks towards to his other older member with a snort, "Snort… hey dumbass unless you want to complain you can talk this up to the chief Raven the only good kid that came back and stayed loyal unlike that traitor Qrow."

The other bandit just sighs at that, "Ugh… I know it's just that I'm ill prepared against Grimm unlike you veterans you seen action and know what to do."

The older member just sighs and gives advice to the complaining younger member, "Ugh… listen here brat were the first line of defense for our tribe in case of an enemy comes on over Grimm… or Huntsmen alike just stay close to me and you'll be fine capishe."

The younger member nods his head and they both return to stay on guard unaware that a shadow was already crawling over to the veteran shadow first while the younger member turns away from him for a few seconds.

The younger bandit tries to make conversation while the veteran was ambushed from a surprised attack from his own shadow slowing being chocked, "Aw… thanks man at least I know you have my back."

While the young bandit was trying to talk to his senior, he was already being killed till the shadow made a snap sound that got the other one's attention now.

When he turns around, he was shocked that he was about to scream only till he was hit by a purple ball of light that made him go slow motion till the shadow decapitated his head in on swift motion then goes inside the base unnoticed.

With that Kuro, Rem, Cinder, and Ram were seeing everything that was happening inside the Door Dimension with their eyes, Ram makes the first to speak, "Well that was certainly easy to take care of the guards? But why doesn't Raven have plans in case something like this happens?"

Cinder was the one to say next with a serious expression, "She does, it's just usually they change shift on the 30 minutes, so we have a time limit of 30 minutes before the next shift of people comes."

Everyone in the Door Dimension nod their heads in agreement now they have a timetable to have this all done under while Ram Shadow silently kills the bandits in the left side of base while Kuro, Rem, and Cinder surprise attack them.

So far everything has been all going according to plan and nothing have been compromised just yet while Kuro sees everything and thinks, 'Ok everything is all according to plan, but I have to make sure to keep an eye on something that could jeopardize my plan…'

The plan was working so far only 5 minutes in and they already finished off 20% of the Brawen Tribe but Ram tells the group they have problem being that one of the bandits noticed a shadow moving.

When they all heard of that they immediately went over to the older member of bandit tribesman following Ram shadow.

When Kuro saw this, he looks over to Rem and say to her, "When I open the door use your Devil Fruit ability to slow him down then we bring him here as to draw any attention got it."

Rem nodded but that was when the older members of the bandit tribe started to shoot in the base yelling at the top of his lungs while Kuro, Rem, Ram, and Cinder curse him, "BANG! BANG! QUICK WE GOT A GEIST IN THE BASE I REPEAT WE- "

But he was soon silenced by Ram Shadow while the three of them were now getting worried with Rem asking, "Kuro sir the situation turn bad what do we do next?"

Kuro took this moment to think of his options, 'Alright we are in a bad situation I guess this would've happen with other people with brains would do since we haven't lost the surprise attack advantage yet time to improvise.'

While Kuro was thinking of an idea, he also figured out a way to kill Raven without the need of Rem Kage Kage no Mi ability, 'Wait… if Ram's Shadow can make enough damage and distraction long enough for Rem to land her Noroma Photons on everyone… I can land the killing blow using my Moa Moa no Mi straight at Raven's head without the need to fight her…'

After a few seconds of thinking Kuro asks the twin Oni's Faunus, "Ram control your shadow into a giant beast and make sure to bring the attention to the center of the Tribe while taking out any bandits in its way, and Rem when everyone is at the center I'll open a door large enough for you to launch a large scale Noroma Photons wave attack them full blast."

With that they did as instructed, and Ram started to command her shadow to turn into a large beast in the shape of multiple snake heads all going towards the center of the base of the Brawen Tribe while killing any bandits in its way.

Kuro, Cinder, Rem, and Ram were all waiting to the outer center of the tribe home base waiting for everyone to come out from their tents with weapons drawn drawing the attention trying to damage it.

When the other bandits realize the seriousness of the situation and the 'Grimm' there fighting seems to regenerate for every wound shown only to be quickly recovered quickly like some kind of black liquid seems to recover the spot it was damaged.

Ram Shadow was making quick work for the bandits effectively killing them without mercy making the current members of the tribe now be 40% alive while the rest of the 60% were just waiting to be subtracted.

As everything was going on Raven and Vernal finally came up on the scene trying to see what the situation was going on while Kuro got his door ready and Rem was done charging her attack at the unsuspecting bandits.

When Raven and Vernal came up to the scene Raven tried using her sword infused Dust blades attacking Ram Shadow with a variety of elemental slicing attacks while Vernal tries to slice or shoots the Shadow down.

But for each attack they achieved only became meaningless in the end since the shadow has a faster healing factor, the shadow can heal faster than the attacks of the two could give any meaningful damage.

As everything was going on while Raven and Vernal were trying to kill the 'Grimm' few of the bandits made some comments that got Raven's thoughts racing.

"AHH! Where the hell are the other brats they should be here helping!?!!"

"Maybe they were caught dead in a surprise attack I seen the other members tents to know that they are dead!"

"Damn it! Why the hell won't this Grimm die already!!"

"Aww, Fuck were screwed?!"

"Would you shut up we have the Chief Raven here to help not all is lost?!!!"

"Where the hell are Kuro and Cinder, they could like be really helpful about now!"

When Raven heard all the news coming out from her other bandits, she was honestly confused about that since her Semblance Kindred Bond lets her know when someone that is bonded to her knows is killed and vice versa.

When she heard of the possibility of Cinder and Kuro were killed, she scoffed at the idea but that leads her to another question, 'No they are still alive I can feel it but… if they aren't here helping then were could they have gone…'

When Raven was occupied Kuro and Rem took their chance in that moment to open the door and released Rem large area of effect wave attack on all the bandits leaving them surprised from the sudden attack leaving them vulnerable.

Also, in that moment when the shadow saw the door opening it immediately disappeared back into Ram's shadow avoiding the attack of being slowed down.

When everyone saw that they were hit by some kind of emitter attack they immediately assumed the worst while Raven had enough time to try to block the attack, but she too was affected.

When Raven saw who dared attack her tribe, she was in a state of shock to be only able to think that a group of kids were her downfall, 'Wait… it… was… you…'

However that was as far as she was going to say when a small projectile that was coated in Armament Haki even for a bit was immediately went through her head even if she had her aura it wasn't clearly enough to stop the attack and even if she even tried to she would have to do that in a slow motion state.

Kuro throws at Raven a small rock pebble with the amplified speed of x100 making a large sound breaking the sound as soon as it left through Raven head.

Kuro wanted nothing more than assured victory he wants to be done with the mission as soon as possible if the event came to him facing off against Raven, he would rather one shot her with his strongest ability rather than fight fair.

When facing against an opponent who has more skill and experience than you Kuro answer was absolute strength even the most experienced and trickiest of opponents would lose against the face of absolute power and that was the aim Kuro was going for.

Unaware of the events that Kuro has made on this day happing here today a rose, a father, a crow, and a little dragon all felt that something was wrong today and unaware that they were shedding a single tear unaware why, but only the crow knows the reason why behind the tear and was sad.

Meanwhile when Kuro, Cinder, Rem, and Ram all came out of the door they immediately started to attack all the remains of the Brawen Tribe members with no mercy in their eyes.

Kuro announces his move to them while killing them in the process, "If your leader was still around, she would have said this was nothing more than the weak being trampled by the strong right? Well guess what were the strong and you're the weak better get used to it."

With that they finished off all the remaining members by fire, shadow, ice, or bashed to death ending the Brawen Tribe only Kuro knows that only Yang and Qrow are the true last members left alive.

When everything was done, they burned the whole place down to the ground while raiding all their valuables in the process leaving nothing behind.

~Kuro POV (10 years old) ~

When I see everything that I did I know that one day I will have to pay for this one of the days in the near future…

With that I go over Raven's corpse but more specifically looking at her weapon Omen lying in her hand, "Well it's not like you're going to be needing this weapon anymore Raven… since no one will know what happen here I'll be taking your weapon it would be a waste wouldn't it Raven?"

With that I take the weapon Omen as mine now I look over the blade I smiled at this, "You know what Omen from now on your now mine sword from this point on so let's get along ok Nya~."

With that I attached on to my waist and felt that it was heavy, "Huh... I guess you are a bit heavy for me. I guess I'll just get used to you as I grow up in the future."

With that I use my Ice Logia powers to freeze the corpse making sure it cracks into dust then leaves in the night followed by the wind, but I was smiling even more when I got my rewards for all the trouble I and my group went through.

Now I was really happy having another ally is nice and all but now having three more options of what Devil Fruits I get is more useful as well as the FIT to get a free island.

Still though now that I have Raven's sword there should be a way for me to unlock my Electro now since I have a lighting element Dust infused to one her blades err… better save that idea for another time.

But first, 'System use all my devil fruit tokens in the raffles immediately!'

With that I just waited while heading towards my friends' side to see they have robbed this place clean dry, "Looks like you were busy I guess you guys are ready to leave Nya~?"

They nodded their heads with a smile on their face and with that I open up the Door Dimension and we all went towards the Re: Onigashima Tower.
