Chapter 10: Go to Raid

~Kuro POV (9 years old) ~

A year has come and gone in a blink of an eye.

Well so far for the past year I have been busy training my Rokushiki and my devil fruit abilities during this time as well as keep up my relationship with Cindy.

During the year we train, hang out, or hunt for the tribe collecting some food for everyone with our abilities was easy to accomplish.

Although it was really weird during the year since I haven't received any missions for a while notifying me about anything, I didn't care for the time being since I'll probably get one eventually soon or not.

There was also the time when we and Vernal all had to fight against Raven during our sparring matches which is to say I can now only land a few shots into her before she beats me.

I have to admit Raven defiantly has my respect if she alone managed to keep her tribe alive for this long since she can always unlock their auras, they could be strong.

Luckily that wasn't the case since with a lot of people here and with their auras unlocked, they bring in a lot of Grimm with them that could only endanger the tribe.

Still, while I was training, I made some progress with my Rokushiki that I was finally able to get Geppo, Kami-e, Tekkai, and Rankyaku down all to beginner, except for Shingan, Soru, and Rokuogan since I still need to practice my physical strength.

The look on everyone faces was priceless when they noticed I was using the Rankyaku at Raven infused with my Ice Logia ability and use Tekkai to lessen the beatings I get from her to help increase my endurance.

Man, just remembering the time when Raven wanted to know how I do it scared me but luckily, she let it go once she realized she couldn't get a straight answer from a kid go me!

With the beatings I receive in my sparing with Raven I was able to get my Observation Haki into Intermediate level since I always try to dodge her attacks and look for an opening to exploit and get in some swordsmanship training.

While I was at it, I managed to get Cinder to train with me to get used to her devil fruit training the most considering me, and Raven can stop her fire from going too far.

The year was painful, but they were fruitful for me and Cinder, "System show status."

When I see my status, I was really happy getting my strength down no like seriously how the CP agents do it is beyond my thinking but… "I still need to unlock my Electro and Aura…"

While having my work bore some fruit is good, I still need a way to unlock my aura and Electro fortunately during the year I was able to remember all the parts of the One-Piece anime up to the Wano Arc but that was about it.

I may have the Vari Vari no Mi to immediately unlock it but I don't want to waste it for myself at the moment even if I have the Electro skill and the Vari Vari no Mi power it won't be a sure-fire way that I will win against experienced warriors…

Also, I'm not planning to give Nora the Goro Goro no Mi if I get it just an electric base Paramecia Devil Fruit would work well for her and her Semblance when I have her under my wing as a loyal ally.

When I was trying to think to myself in my tent, I heard Raven yelling for me and Cinder, "Kuro and Cinder get right here immediately!"

With that, I hurry go along to her in my outfit that consists of a white tank top, jeans, and boots to wear going to Raven. I see Cinder is wearing a white shirt with a brown vest-wearing jeans and boots as well.

When we got near Raven, she just glares at us and says to the both of us, "Alright you two since you have helped us with the tribe for a year and are the strongest here with your semblances you two finally get to awaken your auras…"

I and Cinder waited to hear the 'but' from Raven since after knowing her for a year we both know if we want something from Raven, we have to give her something in return it is usually just hunt for food or help around the tribe.

But I was shocked what she says next, "…but in return I want you two to raid the village of Oniyuri while it's still in its development stages I only need you to steal the supplies from there kill if need be got it."

I nodded my head at that while I thought to myself, 'Fuck! If the canon timeline is right isn't that village filled with elite Huntsmen only to be curbed stopped by the Nuckelavee!'

While I had my suspicions about the whole idea of the Nuckelavee being there when I and Cinder were there it was only worsening when I saw the mission show me confirm that mutated pony was going to show.

When I look at the rewards, I swear I almost had a heart attack at the view of the rewards but also the difficulty to match with them.

I know that thing won't go down that easily since it took shots from grenade launchers and bullets like a champ and fast with its attacks.

However, I was interrupted from my thoughts when Raven says to me, "Come over here Kuro you're the first to get your aura unlocked first before your friend."

I have to admit I was a bit shy about the whole aura unlocked now considering what's going to happen in the Village but that was for later when I get there.

I approached Raven while she puts a hand on my head and says the following chant, "For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance and unbound by death. I release your soul and by my shoulder protect thee."

With that I suddenly felt something in me that was lock before was suddenly open to me now like I remember something I haven't had before it was odd really like I was suddenly able to move again with another limb.

When I awaken my aura is a black and red color, the system gave me the update in my inherited skills and also revealed my Semblance to which I have to admit it will certainly be helpful in the future.

After that I was curious what my Semblance 'Eyes of the Lord' could mean exactly but first I have to see my best bud get her aura first, "Alright with that the two of you now have your aura's unlocked, you two will start to head towards the village of Oniyuri."

Me and Cinder both nodded our heads understanding Raven's request, "You have a month to accomplish all of this since the village there would take about a week's time from the base. With that out of the way I suggest you better start and make sure your well equipped for the job brats and here you'll need the map of Anima to know where to go."

I was handed the map of Anima to see there was going to be two other small villages on our way to Oniyuri well at least will get to do some sightseeing around the other villages before the big fight.

We both nodded our heads and I talk to Cinder, "Well looks like we have a month worth of time to get this done right Cindy Nya~."

I see she laughs at my cat noise again, "Hahaha… Well we better hurry then Nero or else we get a private lesson from Raven again I'll get everything ready on my end let's meet up at the Gate at say Noon when the Sun starts to set."

I nodded my head to agree with her after that I started to pack my things as well but while I was at it, I checked the system at the time to see what exactly my Semblance does?

When I see my own Semblance is defiantly strong to be able to see through the attack of an enemy and learn their fighting style…

I wonder if I try the Rokushiki other moves like Shigan, Soru, and Rokuogan now would I be able to perfect them hmm… I think I should test this on the Grimm when I have the chance.

I packed all my stuff ready for the week travel to what I know a shit show is going to happen, but the Devil Fruit Moa Moa no Mi is defiantly a must to have maybe I should use the Doa Doa no Mi soon for its stealth ability and hiding for my base.

When I was done, I meet up with Cinder and she says to me, "Your late Kuro I hope you be at least be here on time."

When Cinder says that I sheepishly rub the back of my head, "Hehe… Yeah sorry for being late Cinder but we should get going."

When we were far away from the tribe me and Cinder looks towards each other to make sure were not heard.

After we both checked around Cinder finally spoke in a serious tone speak, "So have you thought of a plan out of this tribe yet Kuro?"

I nodded my head towards her with a serious expression, "Yeah I think I have a plan in mind, but I need at least another year to get it done, and that we need at least another year worth of training from Raven before I can implement it into motion."

With that Cinder nods her head at me and we both went off on our way.

The plan I already have in mine would require the use of the Doa Doa no Mi to accomplish this if option one would be to silently kill all the tribe members into a separate dimension to ensure that won't alarm the others or…

Option two is just pretty much spam throwing huge blocks of Ice at them using the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi to control them already in the sky and change the surroundings of the ground to bury the Bandits while that would bring enough negative attention for the Grimm to come…

Well if I manage to get the Moa Moa no Mi it will be really helpful for an increase in power and surprise Raven enough for me to deal a lethal blow if we fought which might be the case in the end after everything is done.
