The final showdown

I thought about the last 2 years of my life. When I first got Transmigrated as Robin, I went through and existential crisis. There was also the feeling of guilt that I have taken over the body of the original Nico Robin. But as time passed slowly but surely I started to rediscover myself. I realised that I haven't taken over Robin. I was feeling exactly how she felt. I understood the meaning behind her imagination and dark humours. Her past was so hard, that she has taken a habit of imagining the worst case scenarios in her mind so that nothing would happen out of her expectation. And I also felt like that way, even though in my previous life I have never went through something like that.

In truth, we have merged. After embracing my new identity, I thought about the future. We loved our crew mates. Especially Luffy. So I didn't want to burden him with my protection. I knew that they will go against the entire world to save me like they have did in the past. But they are doesn't mean I should completely rely on them. It was my duty as a straw hat to do my best.

A quote told by Zoro came to my mind.

If you ask me, you work together by working separately. You stand up and risk your own life, do what you can the best that you can. And then you turn to the others. and expect the same from them.

It was the exact thing that I should do. Keeping that in mind I trained very hard. I had already the knowledge from Robin and my previous self.

So I focused solely on my combat abilities. Although I failed to awaken my devil fruit, I was managed to reach the post Wano Robin's level in controlling my devil fruit powers.

I also worked with sea prism stones in order to acquire resistance against sea water. With that training, my base strength, speed and stamina increased quite a lot.

Then there is Haki. With Sabo's support, I managed to learn both armament and observation haki. My observation haki was stronger. But that didn't mean that my armament haki was weak.

But I didn't limit myself to haki. I learnt different fighting styles too. Hack taught me the basic of the fishman karate. And with my knowledge from canon, I managed to recreate variations of shave and tempest kick.

Back then I also got the idea about growing my organs inside the body of a person and damage them from inside. But it was hard and didn't work on anyone with a decent level of haki. Then I thought about finger pistols with my flower limbs. Like growing an arm on someone's body and use finger pistol from close range. In that way it will be very hard to dodge the attack. But it didn't work. The first thing about this attack is strong fingers. While I managed to achieve a decent level of strength and durability for my fingers, but it was not enough. While I could achieve it by applying armament haki, it was not worth it. The second thing was speed . The concept behind finger pistol was very simple you just needed to use great speed to pierce through the target. But to gain speed you need to build up momentum. And from a close range it won't be effective as it should.

That's why I abandoned the idea of learning finger pistol. Instead I created my own close ranged attack which will be as deadly as the finger pistol.

"Cien Fleur .... Palm blade !"

Palm blade, as the name suggested, is a blade like attack. I have sharpened the edge of my palm to make it like a blade. Coating it with haki, made it even stronger and sharper. And the best part was that I didn't need to build up momentum in order to execute this attack.

As soon as the Noah reached below the fishman island I concentrated towards Vendor Decken. Hundreds of flower petals, materialised around his shoulder.

And both of his shoulder to arms appeard. And with his smooth movement, both of them moved towards his head from opposite direction. One came from the front and one came from rear.

*Slice*

With a smooth movement, both arms passed through his head. A moment later his head rolled down. His body dropped with a thud. As I dematerialised my arm, Decken's aura faded away. The effect became clear very next moment. Noah stopped chasing after Shirahoshi and dropped into the sea floor under gravitational force.

Shirahoshi was was panting hard.

"Wh-what happened ?" Shirahoshi asked confused.

"Don't worry princess. Vender Decken is dead now.

From now on Noah will rest on the sea floor. You can come back now. The threat to the island has been neutralized.

Although I think I must apologise to Jinbe for not keeping the promise, I think he will understand.

My work is finished here. You should come back to the island quickly. It is very hard to maintain this body. So I will take my leave." I told Shirahoshi and dematerialised.

I opened my eyes to see Jinbe and Nami in front of me.

"Jinbe, san... I apologize for breaking my promise. I had to kill Vender Decken. Noah is resting on the sea floor." I immidiately apologized to Jinbe.

Jinbe nodded.

"I understood. And I do not blame you. It was inevitable. He had put the entire fishman Island in danger.

I nodded back and looked towards Luffy, who was also finishing his fight with Hody. Although he was a lot more muscular than I previously remembered, but the most concerning thing was the deep wound in his shoulder which was bleeding heavily.

Because of his red coloured shirt, it didn't look like anything serious. But from my observation haki, I knew that the wound was deep.

"That wound on his shoulder, how did Luffy got it ?" I asked Nami.

"Hody became a lot stronger after eating those medicines. He caught Luffy off-guard and bit on his shoulder.
