One Piece: The Strongest Emperor

Archelaus Tigra was hailed as a genius ever since the day he was born. He could write at the age of 1, speak at 15 months old, and solve puzzles which stumped even the smartest of wise men at the age of 4. As a Prince of the Tigrian Kingdom he was hailed as a once in a century genius, but little did they know that he was a reincarnator from another world. ------------------------------ I would like to make a few clarifications, I typically don't forget things I've set up, so more often then not if something isn't clear or show at the beginning it will probably come into play a bit later. Besides that this won't be a perfect depiction of One Piece as that is One Piece, I will try and follow the rules and lore Oda has set up as best as possible, but somethings will be altered or be my interpretation since the rules on certain aspects aren't all that clear. So its an AU in a sense. Now another point, this won't be following Luffy's Journey or something this is simply a guy who wants to build a Kingdom, an Empire, so he doesn't have some hate boner for Luffy but is simply trudging along. Rant over sorry about that, I hope you enjoy the story though. (Also this picture is not mine, but LordValmar did some cool edits on it so thank you LordValmar.)

Chapter 22 More Books?

The next day the Kaf led 400 of the soldiers to sweep the area of any escapees while 200 of them cleared up the battlefield searching for anything of value. At one corner of the camp Arch stared at a middle aged muscular man who looked as if he'd just woken up.

"So you're finally awake Captain Spin." Arch said as he gave the man a smile. "W-Who are you?!" Captain Spin questioned in shock. "Let me make things clear from the get go so we don't waste time, you've been captured so you will answer my questions truthfully and clearly or else your life will be forfeit." Arch replied, he didn't feel like a whole back and forth with this weak Paradise Captain.

"....Got it." Spin replied, naturally he had seen some of the fight last night so he knew he had no chance against Arch, and that was if you dismissed the hundreds of soldiers running around the camp at the moment.

"Great, so first things first, bounties how much?" Arch asked as he pointed to 8 corpses, seeing this Spin gulped down hard. "Club was the highest with a bounty of 100 Million, Ink had a bounty of 65 Million, Claw's was 57 Million, Mellow 53 Million, mine is 45 Million....." Spin explained one after the other.

Needless to say Arch was quite shocked, but when he thought back on it, it did indeed make sense. 'Club was indeed quite strong while Ink had defeated his opponent, on the other hand Mellow must have been fighting Claw and Spin was probably taken out by Club before the fights began.' Arch pondered as he twirled a coin in his hand.

Either way this venture was definitely profitable for Arch, sure they didn't find any devil fruits but they had made about 400 Million Beri alone if they exchanged all the bounties and that was it. 'I guess its true that war is quite profitable, then again this was more like sending sheep to the slaughter.' Arch mused a smile plastered on his face.

On the other hand Spin was scared shitless. "Please, don't kill! Send me to Impel Down, or whatever but please don't kill me." Spin begged his head held low. Arch wasn't too surprised at this reaction, after all when interrogating pirates to find out which of the captains was left alive they too begged and begged.

Of course Arch wasn't a cold emotionless human being, so normally when he got what he wanted out of them, he'd let the soldiers handle them he didn't need to get his hands needlessly dirty.

"Calm down, I'll let you go if you answer a few more of my questions." Arch vowed solemnly before continuing "Anyway lets get to it now that the bounties are out of the way, what's this "treasure" I heard about."

"....This, I suggest you follow me its a bit hard to describe." Spin replied, motioning for Arch to take off his restraints. "I'll accept, but be warned if you try anything funny I won't simply kill you at least not at first, you'll feel the joy of having your 4 limbs broken, and then dying as a rat burrows through your body." Arch threatened before breaking off the restraints leaving the man only handcuffed.

"Understood!" He muttered as he gulped down fearfully. After that Spin led Arch out of the camp and towards the forest and after taking a winding path the two eventually ended up in front of a cave. "Knock there twice." Spin explained but Arch simply shook his head and motioned for him to do it himself.

'What do you think I am, a fool?' Arch chuckled, but then Spin knocked on the location he had indicated twice and nothing suspicious happened, on the contrary a secret door opened. 'So when I am cautious the villain is honest?'

Arch couldn't wrap his head around it and simply chose to follow Spin in as the man trekked through the path. Finally about 5 minutes later the two arrived in a circular room with an altar at the center.

Noticing Arch's confused expression Spin cleared his throat getting ready to explain. "A few years back Claws had obtained a treasure map of sorts which led all the way here, due to Lawless being Picker's domain Claws never dared to use the map, but now seeing as he was out of the picture he decided to team up with us. Naturally we had all met a few times prior so the cooperation was mostly smooth, until...... anyway Claws basically thought having 1/9th of the treasure was better than nothing so we all worked together and eventually found this room, and lucky for Claws that he did team up because or else he would probably be-er have died earlier." Spin gave Arch the run down, Arch was intrigued by the room as he looked around.

"And let me guess, all you found was this book so you had an argument amongst yourselves?" Arch deduced noticing no other secret passageways or anything of the like. "Actually we were celebrating, after all that book is quite valuable." Spin remarked gazing at the book longingly.

"I see, but it still doesn't make sense why you all erupted into in fighting." Arch mumbled. "That's actually quite simple, in reality we 3 Captains weren't going to truly surrender to Picker, we were just going to use his hand to kill the other 6 and then split the profits of the book between ourselves. Even if Picker somehow found out we had known him for quite a number of years so we knew his weaknesses and Picker was much weaker than he ever was even before his disappearance." Spin went on another rant, and frankly Arch was regretting sparing this man out of all the Captains.

'Couldn't he be more concise? Did his school never teach him to summarise?' He shook his head before sending Spin to retrieve the book, he wasn't taking any chances this late into the game.

After getting his hands on the book and reading the title Arch was confused. 'The Ultimate Devil Fruit Encyclopedia? I call bull shit.' Arch thought before opening the book, he then proceeded to flip through the book as he spotted numerous devil fruits each with their own picture and detailed description.

Arch was shocked to say the least, every page he turned he was surprised again and again. Some devil fruits he recognised other's he had never heard or seen before, but all Arch knew was, this book was the real deal.

'Okay now for the final test.' Arch thought as he went to the index, after finding the pages concerning mythical zoans Arch began flipping through the pages, and he found it, the Byakko fruit was actually detailed on the encyclopedia.

'H-How, impo- this must be from the Void Century, either that or just after it.' Arch suspected before reading through the description of the Byakko fruit.

"A fruit at the top of the mythical zoan class, regarded as the fruit of the "king" the fruit will only accept those it deems worthy of consuming it. Those worthy include, virtuous rulers, true rulers, and peaceful rulers. As long as a person fulfils one of these categories the fruit will deem them worthy of consuming it.

Standard abilities: above average zoan regeneration, average zoan defensive capability, superior zoan offensive capability.

*In its inedible state the Byakko fruit is a good tool to hit enemies at range with"

After reading the description, Arch was quite surprised, but he also felt it was a bit lacking. 'It didn't mention my wind control at all.' He pondered before going back to the index, after scrolling through it he found the page "additional information".

"If you're dissatisfied with the provided information, consider upgrading your Ultimate Devil Fruit Encyclopedia to the True Devil Fruit Encyclopedia for 10,000 Credits at your nearest Amazon Bookstore."
