Chapter 27: Your Dada is back

"I see, it looks like he succeeded in influencing Luffy hahaha" Lucifer replied and didn't bother to think anything and just enjoyed the food that Makino made him.

"Yeah, but what is done is done. I just hope, Luffy, will not be in any danger if he starts his journey next year" Makino looked at Luffy who was still enjoying his food while saying it to Lucifer.

"I'm sure, he will be okay" Lucifer said and lied to the green hair lady.

'His journey is pull of thorns, but he will overcome it every time he face it' Lucifer inwardly said.

"Sure he is" Makino genuinely smiled and replied to Lucufer.

Someone's point of view

In a beautiful palace, in one of the many rooms of it. A gorgeous and breathtaking lady sitting on the chair while doing some things on the table.

The table is full of worn and old 'things'

As she is cleaning the old worn out 'things' , a box that her father left suddenly open. She look at the box with joy and look immediately at what are the things inside on it.

She looks at a small picture frame with a photo of three people: two adults and a small child. The child is her when she was five. She gazes at the photo, reminiscing. Looking at her father carrying her five-year-old self and her mother gazing at them with love and care, the photo is full of happy memories that she can clearly recall.

As the beautiful lady looks at the photo, she notices something amiss. She sees a white paper stuck in the frame. She disassembles the frame, carefully takes out their family photo, and picks up the white paper.

She opens the folder white papers and sees a letter.

[ Dear, Gabriel ]

[If you ever saw this letter of mine, there is one only reason for that. The box that I left to you was automatically open and 'that' fruit is already eaten and your 'Dada' is back. ]

As the lady read the letter, her tears overflowed, cascading like a stormy rain in her beautiful golden eyes. Silently, she wept, immersed in her father's words, overwhelmed by the deep longing she felt for him. The intensity of her tears heightened as she reached the poignant line declaring, 'Your Dada is back.'

She then continued to read the letter of her father.

[ I understand your desire to locate me, but, Gabriel, please refrain from doing so. I don't wish to expose you or your mother to any potential danger by seeking me out. Simply inform ******, your mother, that I've returned and advocated waiting a few more years before our reunion. My love extends to you, my sweet little angel, and please convey to your mom that I love her too and miss both of you.

PS: Another letter awaits. Hand it to your mother without reading, Sweetie, as only she should.]

"Mou... Who's going to read it?" The beautiful lady pouted, brushing away a few tears from her face. She quickly noticed another letter she had overlooked, hastily picking it up before leaving the room. She hurriedly set out to share with her mother what her father had conveyed in the letter he left for them.

"Damn that was quite a fight, Mr. Garp" Lucifer said to the old man guy who beat the hell out of him.

"Bwahahahahah, you have a long way to go, Brat, before you win for me." Garp loudly laughed and said to the young man in front of him. To be honest, he was astounded at what the young man improved in just a couple of spars. If Lucifer didn't reject his proposal to become a marines. He was sure that after his friend, Sengokou, knew the talent of Lucifer, he will be happy as he is in the nine clouds.

"Do you really not want to join the marines, brat?" Garp asked him again and tried if he would succeed this time.

" A big NO" Lucifer said to Garp emphasizing the latter part of what he said.

"Sigh... Looks like the marine lost some good admiral candidates this year, Bwhahaahaha"

"But you know I'm a little glad that you rejected my offer. I don't want you to bexome a dog of some fat pig, who thinks of themselves as 'GODS', Bwahahahaha" Garp said to the young man in front of him who has a little smile on his face.

"If anyone hears what you are saying. I'm sure you will lose your job. " Lucifer said.

"They can't, because they still need me, Bwhahaha" Garp replied to Lucifer amd added.

"Let's go, Brat, I am a little hungry and my senbei run out. I need to stack some of it"

"You can go first. I want to take a shower and I'll follow you up later." Lucifer said and left at the area where they spar.

The two walk on different paths and leave the area.

"Hey Makino. This question of mine is in my mind in a couple of days now." A majestic of an elderly man said to the dark green hair lady who is serving them drinks.

"What is it, Garp-san?" The dark green hair lady ask the elderly man.

"Hmm... " Garp look at her and the young man beside him deeply and asked.

"What is the thing going between you and Lucifer?"

"Nothing... There's nothing going between us, right Lucifer?" Makino flusteredly said while dodging her eyes on Garp.

"Yeah and besides 'if' there is really going between us.... I'm going to accept your proposal, Garp-san" Lucifer looks at the dark green hair lady and sighed inwardly and he look at the Garp saying those words, though he lied about joining marines.

"Ohhhh" Garp was speechless and said.

"Bwahahaha, yeah, sure you are," Garp chuckled, not fully convinced by Lucifer's words. His skepticism extended beyond the latter part; in fact, he harbored doubts about the entire statement. With the wisdom of age, he possessed insights hinting there is something going on between the two of them. And it appeared as though an invisible barrier hindered them, preventing any meaningful move towards each other.

"Well... I'll leave the two of you. I hope you talk to each other, see yah tomorrow" Garp leave the two of them, only two of them at the 'Party Bar'.
