One piece: The Mob's Diary

Rell, a random guy from Earth, one day reincarnated into One Piece world after his death and became the small baby of a couple living in Loguetown. However, unlike most reincarnation stories, his life was pretty normal and average after that. No abnormal powers, no super talent in anything, no advantage over others... Nothing. There were no problems coming one after another, as reincarnators tend to have, and most of what happened around the world barely even affected him or his family. He was just another normal boy from Loguetown. Albeit, with the memories of an adult whom, you would say, knew about the future. That, however, was only until he became 8 years old, and a strange screen appeared in front of him. [Diary's System Activated! Write anything you want in your new digital diary, and you will be rewarded with special rewards depending on how important what you write in here is!] At that moment, Rell didn't really care all that much about the weirdness of his system. He was more focused on the free rewards other than anything. However, it was several years later that he finally noticed that something was wrong and that it probably was all his fault. "What in the world happened to the story?!" Some people say that diaries are a private thing. However, his system certainly didn't share that opinion ... °°° (A/N: The illustration of Nami is made by ᑕᕼᗩḰᕮ. Sus Diary

...

Well, this day became way weirder than what I expected in a beginning...

After my parents and I ate some cake, I received my gifts from both of them, and then started playing around with some toys that I had while they started minding their own business.

It always ended this way every birthday, as I never was the type to enjoy partying all day when the matter would be over with just a few words and a cake, and my parents knew that.

They also knew that I was kind of a free spirit and that I enjoyed spending my time alone rather than playing with other people. Thus, they never bothered me after we celebrated my birthday, knowing that I was better off this way.

They were quite comprehensive parents, to be honest. Though, my mom would still give me sad looks from time to time whenever she saw me playing alone with my toys.

Was I becoming an asocial person? Probably.

However, that should get fixed once I reach the age that I had before dying and start meeting people of that said age.

Maybe...

-Cough...-

Anyway, leaving that matter aside, something unbelievable happened today... Something that I had thought would never happen.

Even now, I couldn't completely understand what had happened... After all, despite me having been living in this world for already nine years, nothing out of the ordinary had ever happened during this time.

And yet... Something appearing out of the blue like this...

-Sigh...-

It was really bad for my heart...

I didn't have the time to check it before since I was at the party. However, now that I was already free, I really couldn't contain my curiosity.

Thus, without waiting any longer, I entered my room and closed the door behind me.

The last thing I wanted was for my parents to see me doing strange things alone in my room.

This was, after all, a strange thing...

「Such hurtful words...」

When I had been blowing off the candles, this voice appeared in my head and started talking to me...

Whether it was the result of some strange hallucinogenic substance, schizophrenia, or something else, I didn't know. However, what I knew, was that I needed to know what it was, and whether or not the theory forming inside my head was true.

「It's true host」

And since it seemed to have sentience... Probably... Then why not ask him personally?

'Well, first of all... What are you?"

「I'm a system, host」

Ah yes, a system... Harbingers of chaos, and troubles... How could I forget about them?

「More specifically, I'm the Diary System!」

"What a creative name... So? What do you do?"

[... My purpose's still classified information for you. However, I, as the Diary System, have chosen you to become my host, which means that you will be granted access to the Heavenly Divine Diary!」

Heavenly Divine Diary...? ... Alright, whatever. I don't judge...

「...?」

"... And? What does that Diary do?"

「As long as you write something related to this world in the diary, you will be given a random item from our secret list of items! Which may vary from potions with awesome effects, to items that increase your strength several times, to equipment with a wide range of effects when equipped... Though, It will depend on your luck which one you will get!」

So it's like Gacha?

[Yes, but the more important the information you write in the Diary is, the bigger the possibilities of acquiring a piece of great equipment are]

My brain is hurting already...

[Here]

-Pop-

"Huh...?"

Suddenly, as I was massaging my temples with an annoyed expression on my face, a floating diary appeared in front of me, and fell on my tights, making me look at it incredously.

"Seriously... I must be pretty drugged, or this is the real deal..."

[I'm the real deal, host]

Ignoring the annoying voice, I picked up the notebook and looked curiously at it.

"It looks pretty normal... What is Heavenly or Divine about this thing?" Examining it from top to bottom, I muttered with a frown on my face after noticing that it looked exactly like a normal notebook you would find anywhere.

In fact, it even looked a little bit bad quality.

[It's because it's a mystical item that can only be owned by one person at a time, and that has the power to make you the strongest person in the entire worl-]

"It sounds to me that you just wanted to name it in a cool way..."

[I would... never do that...]

"You don't sound so sure" Muttering those words in a low voice, I glanced around me with squinted eyes in suspicion.

However, before I had the chance to press the matter any further, the System just changed the topic and started explaining to me the functioning of the system, making me huff in dissatisfaction.

[Leaving those unimportant matters aside, you can write anything you want in there. However, as I said before, depending on what you write and its importance, the chances of getting something great will increase or decrease. Nevertheless, you have to take into account that information that you have already written previously will not affect the chances of getting new equipment. So you can't write the same thing over and over again]

"Alright, alright... I think I understood most of it... Though, I have to ask, why does this even exist? What do you gain by making me write things about this world?" Looking with suspicion at the diary in my hands, I frowned slightly, as I waited for the System to answer.

However, to my disappointment, it did the thing that Systems always do in fiction.

[It's classified information, host]

It was a secretive bastard.

"Classified information my balls... -Sigh...- Well, whatever... So, I only need to write anything in it, right?"

[Yes]

Scratching the back of my head, I sighed, before then I looked at the diary again and shrugged my shoulders.

I was just gonna write something in a notebook. What was the worse thing that would happen?

And in the worst case, if it wasn't gonna be worth the trouble, I would just ignore it and continue with my normal life.

"Hmm... Well, what about this"

Saying that, I picked up a pencil from my room, and rapidly began writing something.

|At that moment, at another place...|

...

"Hmm... What a problem..."

Sitting on a chair while looking at the waves pass, Monkey D. Garp could be seen eating some donuts with a calm expression on his face.

"... That damn Red Hair... He made my stupid grandson even more set on becoming a damn pirate. What am I gonna do with him? At this rate, all those years of blood and tears, teaching gently and lovingly my grandson that he was going to be a marine whether he wanted or not will be for naught..."

Then, groaning with an annoyed expression on his face, Garp started picking on his nose, as he looked at the sky in contemplation.

"Should I just send him with Dadan? Maybe that woman will set him straight... Though, now that I mention it, I wonder how Ace is right now?"

-Pop-

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, as Garp was still lost in his thoughts, something appeared in the sky and began falling towards him at a slow speed.

Noticing this, Garp raised an eyebrow, before he then ate the last donut on the plate next to him, and then jumped to pick up the object falling through the sky.

As he did so, his face was still carefree as ever, however, his eyes had a slight wariness in them. After all, objects don't appear in the middle of the sky just because they can.

"What's this?"

Landing on the ship again after grabbing the object, Garp looked at it with a raised eyebrow and tilted his head when he noticed that he had picked up a strange and shabby-looking notebook.

Things were getting weirder and weirder, thought Garp.

Then, curiously, Garp began looking through the pages. Curious about what the content of such a strange notebook might be. However, he immediately frowned when he noticed that almost all of them were completely empty as if they had never been used.

"What? So it's just an abandoned notebook? And here I thought it was something important... Nevermind, I guess I will just throw it to the trash then... Hmm?"

It was then, that Garp arrived at the first page of the notebook, and noticed that something was written in it.

Curious, Garp began reading what was there. However, as soon as he finished, his fist clenched furiously, and his eyes turned incredibly enraged all of the sudden. Making even the ship in which he was standing tremble slightly in response to his power.

"Who... Who is the one who wrote this? Where are you?!"

In the small notebook in his hands, only a few words could be seen.

{On the day of the all-out war between the Whitebeard Pirates and the Marine, Portgas D. Ace, the man who was going to be executed because of his lineage, was instead killed by Admiral Sakazuki after saving his little brother from receiving a lethal blow... Rendering all the efforts of the Whitebeard Pirates to save him useless at the end of the battle}

That day, several notebooks appeared around the world. Making several forces around the World get into an uproar about the sudden mystical occurrence.

That day, without anyone noticing, Fate had begun to shift in incomprehensible ways...

... And Rell, who was in his room, had no idea what he had caused.
