Corrupted marine doesn't want the cash ?

'I guess it is time for my first kill.'

Mentally preparing myself, I went towards the large table where more than seven men in different girly dressses were drinking while gossiping among themselves. Along with the sake bottles there were many rifles lying on the table.

"Hey captain, look at that chick." One of the men from the Gemini pirates, notified their captain about my arrival arrival.

"Is she a whore ? No , whores won't have those kind of scars on their faces." Another one wondered aloud. The captain of the Gemini pirates was facing opposite to the entrance door. So he couldn't see me. But from the questions of his subordinates, his curiosity piqued.

"What are you guys talking about ?"

As he was about to turn around to see me, I moved quickly with a burst of speed. Before he could turn his head back I was already behind him. Non of them could even blink as I wrapped my arms around his head. Then with a quick twist, I easily twisted his face behind him.

I felt his life force fading away . He had a very low vitality compared to many other persons like my mother or my brother.

"I will be taking your bounty." I said coolly as I was trying to control my breathing and emotions on my face. I had just killed a person. I knew it won't be the last time I will do it, but this feeling is really disgusting. But in the end, it was not much different than killing an animal. Maybe the fact that he was a rapist helped me to feel less guilty.

I picked up his bounty poster from the table and started to drag his corpse by his hair.

The entire tavern was silent. No one has ever expected that a random girl will walk into the tavern and kill a pirate worth 15 million berries like that. Before anyone could understand what is happening, one of the most infamous pirates of the east blue, Kibi Gemini, the rapist was already dead. His crewmates, who were present in the tavern, drinking with him, celebrating the recent increase in his bounty were too shocked to move. There mind simply couldn't process what happened and accept the reality.

But the Grey, the vice captain of the Gemini pirates managed to break out from his stupor and picked up the rifle pointing at Maki's head.

"Wh-what the hell are you ?" Grey shouted at Maki. He is not a type of person to live in delusion. Kibi was strong. But a girl who could kill him in a second, must be stronger. It was not the matter of surprise attack anymore. With the speed she showcased, Grey doubted that even in the case of a frontal assault, Kibi could have done much except for being a sitting duck. So in the eyes of Grey, Maki was no longer a human. In any other situation Grey would have tried to take revenge for Kibi. But in this scenario, he knew that even his action of pointing the gun will have no effect on the girl.

Maki stopped in her tracks. She didn't release the grip on Kibi's hair but looked back at Grey.

"I am a human. But I have a question for you. Your pointing that rifle at me. Are you ready to face the consequences ?" Grey felt a chill down his spine. He couldn't move from his place. He immediately put the gun down and sat back on the chair. Seeing his action, the rest of the tavern fell silent. No one dared to move from their spot. Even the rest of the, Gemini pirates didn't dare to move.

After getting out of the tavern, Maki made a bee line to the Marine base in the restock town. The white building with the logo of a seagull and baby blue wavy patterns on it, was not hard to find.

The bystanders of the island did not pay her much attention as it was a common thing in the town. The town was so corrupted that normal civilians doesn't even live there.

Only those who have some kind of business in the island were forced to stay in there . It was a common occurrence in the town after all. Every single day gun shots and screeming of people were common sounds. Because of the abundance of the criminals in the town it also attracts the attention of many bounty hunters. But most of the time they stayed away from bigger organisation or bigger pirate crews in order to not draw attention towards them.

After reaching the Marine base Maki looked for the bounty collection office. Thanks to the instruction in the entrance she didn't have to face much trouble in finding the office to exchange the money.

"Excuse me I want to collect a bounty of this pirate. " I said in a rough of voice.

The Marine officer was startled after seeing the bounty poster that I handed him over.

"Do I look like an idiot ? Don't play prank with us girl ! Otherwise I will charge you for playing-" the officer was cut off when I picked up the body of Gemini for him to see.

His eyes widened.

Recognising the man he was very surprised but he calmed down quickly.

"Quick bring him in for inspection !" He panicked. Two soldiers immediately followed his orders and brought me along with the corpse into the office.

After going through some procedure, he dismissed the two soldiers and then turned towards me.

"It is indeed 'the rapist', Kibi Gemini. Unfortunately he is dead. So you will get only 70% of the total bounty money. After cutting the tax and the processing fee, you will get nine millions and four hundred thousand berries." He told me.

"Now now officer, this might be my first time collecting bounty from this Marine base but it is definitely not the first time I am doing this." I told him in a sharp voice. It wasn't exactly threatening tone but the meaning was there.

The officer was surprised. My gaze was focused on his fourhead, making him uncomfortable.

But he was a Marine soldier for a reason.

"I don't know from which Marine base you have been collecting the bounty before. But in this town we have a special tax and processing fee." He replied shamelessly.

"Is that so ?

Well then how about you tell me what you know of tri head pirates. And you can keep the bounty money for yourself." I asked him with a serious tone.

His eyes narrowed after hearing me.

"The information about tri head pirates can't be paid in money." His smile suddenly turned lecherous as he stared at my breasts.

I was disgusted. But it is what it is. It seem that I can't find my father without turning into a wanted criminal.
