Chapter 8 MarineFord part 4

Rear Admiral Koga P.O.V.

We arrived at the Marine Headquarters in the morning. I wanted to see my family too but that can wait first I have a report to give the Marine fleet Admiral.

So I did all the paper formality and takes Sakazuki with me to the Fleet Admiral office. It was not necessary but maybe Fleet Admiral wants to see him for his evaluation. I might be thinking of him as a good but for me he is and It's not like I am enslaving him. I am just getting some benefit from helping him.

So I take him to the Fleet Admirals office. During the walk, I heard quite some talk like How Monkey. D. Dragon who is the son of most powerful Vice Admiral Monkey. D. Garp is going to join Navy Academy this year and it is said he is even powerful than Garp was at his age. And not only that but Vice Admiral Garp even found out an Ice Logia user in South Blue. Also, Vice Admiral Tsuru too find out a light Logia user in West blue. It looks like the new generation of marines is far more powerful than the current one.

I reached the door of Fleet Admiral's office. I was nervous and I told Sakazuki to wait outside and enter the office.

Fleet Admiral Kong also known as Steel Bone Kong by pirates due to his peculiar Premicia devil fruit Hone Hone No Mi ( Bone Bone No Mi). He was able to manipulate the bones inside his body and was also able to sprout bones from his body. He was able to control calcium inside his body and made them as hard as steel. It was said that he is even able to make a bone demon out of his bones and called it half Susanoo. It is also a rumor that once he destroyed an island using that ability.

Fleet Admiral Kong was sitting beside the office table on a comfy looking chair. There were some documents on the table. And there were other people too present there. On one sofa was sitting Marine Admiral zephyr and with him was sitting none another than newly promoted Admiral Sengoku. Vice Admiral Tsuru was sitting opposite to them and was knitting a sweater or something. And yes, Vice Admiral Garp too was present and was eating Rice Crackers.

When I entered the office all eyes turned at me.

Fleet Admiral Kong P.O.V.

I was waiting for Koga to come with that boy. zephyr is going to retire soon to spend some time with his family. But I manage to make him train a marine elite batch and he agreed when I told him that he will be training only those that he selects and Garp's son is joining the marine too this year and he immediately agrees because Dragon is someone whom everyone wants to train. I still remember when I first met him how crazy he was.

And after zephyr agreed on training a batch, we found 3 more potential candidates. But The last one is somehow disturbing me because it was found by a Rear Admiral and not to sound judgy but a Rear Admiral don't know what true potential the man has. A devil fruit Depends upon the user too and if the user is stupid then the devil fruit will only take him that much up in the ladder. So I asked Zephyr, Sengoku, Tsuru, and Garp to come to my office immediately to test the Potential Admiral candidate.

Garp is a tall, tanned, broad-chested, muscular old man. He has a beard and a scar over his left eye. His eye color is blue, and his hair is black with slight sideburns. Garp is wearing a dark suit and now gulping down my Rice Crackers bastard how did he find them, it looks like his dog mask is not for appearance purposes only.

with him is sitting eternally cold Beauty Tsuru. Or according to Garp eternal virgin But none in the marine dares to call her that except Garp and he did not wake for a week after saying that. That beating scene still sends me chills.

Tsuru is tall, thin with dark blue hair tied in a ponytail. she has a pistol and wearing Standard Marine uniform. She sports earrings made of beads, Admirals two bracelets on her right wrist. She is the wisest of all the Vice Admirals. Pirates call Crane and we call her Great staff officer.

She has eaten the Premicia devil fruit Woshu Woshu No Mi ( wash wash fruit ) that allows her to literally "wash and hang out to dry" people and objects as if they were clothes, turning them into flat and malleable like clothes. This disables the opponents by rendering them unable to move and also this fruit Somewhat cleanse the hearts of pirates too.

Opposite to them are sitting 2 Admirals Zephyr also known as Black Hand Zephyr And Sengoku also known as Human Buddha.

Z is a large, muscular, tan-skinned man with purple hair and standing around twice the height of a typical man. As a Marine admiral, his standard outfit consisted of a purple suit with a Marine coat draped over his shoulders like a cape, his arms not in its sleeves. Z also wore a pink shirt with a polka-dotted tie under his purple suit. Like Garp and Tsuru, his coat has uniquely colored epaulets with his own being blue.

If you aks me than I will tell you only this That Z is the very epitome of bravery. He is the strongest believer of Justice That I have ever seen and he believes all pirates should die. Z is a happy soul to be around.

Sengoku is a tall, fair-skinned, and muscular man with a long, braided goatee and a mustache. He also has pet Goat but who am I to criticize after all I too have a Vulture as a pet. And also this Bastard has A great afro which I too want But my Own hair is White and plane.

He typically wears black-rimmed glasses and a white and gold full Marine admiral uniform that is adorned with medals. The most distinctive features of this uniform are a life-size seagull on top of his cap, and his oversized Marine coat which he wears like a cape. His coat has the kanji for justice, in blue, emblazoned on the back, and has unique colored cuffs, with his being white.

Sengoku Alongside Garp and Tsuru, Sengoku is one of the most powerful Marines of his generation. Even without his Devil Fruit powers, Sengoku has enormous strength, enough to effortlessly hold down an enraged Garp with only one hand. Sengoku is also a tremendously skilled hand-to-hand fighter.

Sengoku is exceedingly loyal and never questions the orders. His motto is "Reigning justice" in which he prioritizes upholding justice at all costs.

Sengoku ate the "Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu", a rarer-than-Logia Mythical Zoan-class Devil Fruit which allows him to turn into a gigantic Daibutsu, which is the reason for his nickname.

when he uses his powers The color of his body (and uniform) seems to change to golden skin color, similar to a polished gold statue. In this form, his body has different proportions, as his torso and arms are much larger compared to the rest of his body.

This ability gives him a massive power boost to his already impressive strength. He can also launch an explosive shock wave with a palm thrust.

Personally, I believe Sengoku would become a great Fleet Admiral after me.

These people have made The Marine a truly fearsome force against piracy. I was lucky that I have seen such a powerful generation of Marines and now the new generation of marines is at the door.

I was lost in my thoughts and the people sitting here were minding their own business one was eating Rice Crackers and another one was shouting at him for not sharing. Someone was busy knitting a sweater for their sister and someone was busy reading the newspaper. And at that moment the office door slide and Rear Admiral Koga enter through it. For a Time no one said anything and just stare at him and he was sweating seeing stares we throw at him it is such a nice trick.

( Did I do something wrong. why are they staring at me like this.) he might be thinking in his head.

" yes " I said in an annoyed tone to make him more nervous.

He put back his shit together and said

" Sir, I am rear Admiral Koga from G-2 base. I am here to deliver the Logia user. "

" We will talk about it later but what do you think of him and how do you find him " I said to him with seriousness in my voice and I was serious because it might be another Admiral candidate in the future.

" Yes Sir, We got the news that Explosive pirates were going toward the long spring island so we too sailed there to catch them. when we reached there we didn't find the town there apparently we were late and they killed all the town but what we found strange was that everyone in the town was gone and only their ashes remained. Then when we move toward the center we found Sakazuki th"

" Sakazuki ?? "I interrupted him.

" The Boy's name Sir. " he replied

"Ok, continue " I said.

" yes where was I. Then when we moved toward the center of town we saw a Sakazuki sitting there and staring at the mutilated corpse of Explosive Pirate's captain Jacob Bomb. His corpse was badly mutilated, I bring the corpse here too you can see it if you want. Then we inquired about what happens there and he told us that pirates killed everyone when he was in the forest and when he came back and saw what happens he loses control and killed them. When I asked how he did it he told me that he ate a weird-looking fruit which turns him into magma and let him control it and then I suggest joining The Marine and now he is here outside your office."

So everyone he knows is dead, It's sad to know.

" Tell me Koga, according to you what is his potential in Marine Rankings " I ask him. It is necessary to make Koga see that not everyone who eats a devil fruit can become a marine.

" Sir, not to sound disrespectful to you or anyone present here. I don't think because I am damn sure that Sakazuki will surpass everyone in History and became the strongest Marine in all of the navy's history" he said with such conviction that all the present including me were stunned.

" Let's believe what you say but what is the guarantee that he is not using marines for his own gain." I asked him. Sometimes it happens that people join Marine to become powerful and then Join the pirates. I would rather not like a powerful Logia user roaming the sea as a pirate.

" Sir, you were not there I was. If you have seen the look in his eyes then you wouldn't be asking this question. His eyes were full of hatred toward piracy and the Corpse of Jacob Bomb can prove it. When asked what you want to do right now his answer was to burn all the pirates to the ashes." He replied to my question with a very befitting answer that my ears wanted to hear. So the boy is already on the path of Absolute Justice, Good. We just have to show him direction and he will reach the destination. I can feel the curiosity of others is increasing. And what is that did I just saw a glint in Zephyr's eyes.

Garp too was interested in the boy by the looks of it.

" You said he is waiting outside. Invite him in, Let's see the strongest Marine. " and he Invited the boy in.

Oh boy, If the height was to go by He might qualify for a half Gaint. He was even one or two feet taller than Zephyr. And those tanned and power muscles looked ready to strike. He is not lowering his guard. His aura is that of a fearsome warrior who is ready to attack at any moment.

They say it only takes a moment to change a person and by the looks of it the boy has gone through that very moment too early in life. His face is completely stoic and no emotions are shown on his face. I stare at him and instead of backing away or being nervous he aggressively started staring at me. after some moment he said

" If you have seen enough then do tell for what reason am I here." quite rude but it is understandable he has gone through quite a bit.

Before I can say anything Garp stands up from his seat and started talking

" So is he your strongest Marine Koga. Nothing much. So you wanted to become a Marine boy, Why should we take you in boy What's so special about you anyway expect that you eat a Logia whose abilities are only advantageous in Paradise." Garp said to him. I know he was testing him but I Didn't expect that answer from the boy

" Sir, I assure you that if you take me in marine then I will not be eating Rice crackers during the important work and do not try to discourage someone instead of doing My duty and protecting people just because my son will be studying with someone who is better than him. "

He said looking towards me.

Dead silence. Every single soul present Was looking at him like he was a wonder of the world. Someone dissed at Garp. Sengoku was holding his laughter and the same case was with everyone present.

Garp's face was red with anger.

" What did You say boy. care to repeat that." Garp said in a very angry tone. someone accused Garp of being biased and not doing his job properly.

" Oh, I don't know you were deaf too sir. " he said in an innocent voice that only funnel the anger of Garp and I know he was going to have the first-hand experience of Love fist.

And then I saw Garp clenching his fist and *bam* he punched the boy in the face and The boy flew through the wall of my office and land outside.

" Garp, it was too much" I angrily snapped at him because he breaks my office wall. But then I saw Garp standing there without any emotion on his face and then he fell on one knee and looked toward the boy's direction with surprise written all over his face.

We all were surprised by this.

"what happens Garp " I asked.

"I don't know, after punching him all I saw was that this room was spinning," Garp said.

" He punched you in the chin. " Zephyr said.

" WHAT.. HE PUNCHED GARP" I shouted.

" How can this happen "I questioned Zephyr.

" Let me explain to you all what happens here. " Zephyr started to explain what happens here.

" What happens here was that When Garp talks to the boy, The boy knew it was a test to judge his capabilities, So he In turn made Garp angry and let Garp underestimate him. The boy knows that he would not be able to fight Garp but he doesn't need to he just needs to show that he is better than everyone and he showed it marvelously.

When Garp clenched his fist he too readied his fist. If you have focused on the boy then you would have noticed that His eyes were only concentrating on Garp and were reading his every movement from the face reaction to the fist clenching.

and when Garp moves forward to punch him, he used his long hands to fullest and go for an uppercut and used a shockwave like technique. so when his fist comes in contact with your chin it did not produce any sound it just releases all the force of fist in a shockwave through your flesh and this shockwave travel to your brain and shook it.

So that's how the boy played you and shows his strength and answers your question as to why should we hire him." Zephyr pointed toward the garp and explain it.

" And that boy is still standing" Zephyr again pointed toward the dust cloud where the boy landed and we all were shocked again that the boy did not lose consciousness or is groaning on the ground. I used my Kenboshuko Haki ( Observation Haki) and see that the boy was still standing with blood flowing through his mouth but standing nonetheless.

Such determination, No wonder Koga thinks he will be the strongest marine in history.

" That little ShIt played me. " groaned Garp completely frustrated that someone used him.

" Take him to the hospital and make sure he is ready tomorrow. " I said to some Marines who were watching all this drama with their jaw dropped to the ground not that I can blame them, The event was of that category, Someone made Garp fall on a knee anyone would be stunned.

" What do you think about him Tsuru." I asked my most intelligent Vice Admiral.

" The boy is very dangerous but for The pirates. You might also have noticed that he has his own justice. If you listen to his arguments with Garp you could have noticed the hate fo the pirates.

The boy said that he would not eat Rice cracker during work meaning he hates undisciplinary behavior and will not tolerate it.

people are dying out there meaning he wants to save them at all cost relatable as he finds himself the reason for his towns people's deaths.

And by his story, he is fully determined to anything for capturing the pirates out there and also fighting Garp too proves this point.

He didn't use his Logia powers because he knew his limits but try to punch him it shows us his determination more than anything. His will is so powerful that he is still standing even if his body refused to listen to him, even if his body is in pain he is standing there This will is respectable.

in the end, I am grateful that he is joining marines because I would not like to see him as an enemy.

He is as he says possess the potential for the strongest marine ever. " Tsuru finished Pointing toward Koga.

I was more happy than shocked by today's event as it stands we got the best Marine. I looked toward Koga and write a slip and handed him that.

" Go to the marine credit department and show them this and receive your early retirement and 4 million Marine credits."

" f..f...four mi.. four million sir." he asked with surprise in his voice.

" with early retirement. Now go." I told him to leave. And he left with a happy face.

" so are we clear that boy has more potential than any of our students and has a great character. " I asked my fellow members.

" yes " they all replied at the same time and suddenly Sengoku started laughing out loud.

" What are you laughing for you damn afro." Garp grumbled.

" He played you like a fool Garp. Oh my god, I can not stop laughing" Sengoku answered with wiping a tear from his eyes.

We all started laughing at that. I saw everyone was happy even if Garp was grumbling.

" Ok, that's enough stop it now. I asked for you for another reason too." I told them.

" Another reason. " they all asked.

" yes, Another reason. You guys might be aware of the phenomena that happened yesterday." I asked them.

" You mean that earthquake which shook the whole world. " Tsuru asked.

" yes, That very one. The world Government wants to know the reason for it and thus asked all of Its forces to investigate this." I explained.

" now why do they want to know how an Earthquake happens," Garp said with visible annoyance in his voice.

" who knows. Do they need some reason to do something maybe a celestial Dragon asked them this. We just have to investigate. " I told them.

" hmpf," said Garp.

"now you guys can leave."

and with that the left their seats and started leaving my office.

" Not you Garp. You will fix my wall all by yourself." I said to Garp and he looked toward me and said

" what. why isn't this wall was broken because the boy flew through it ask him not me." And here comes the unreasonable Garp.

" You send him flying and provoke him now start building the wall. "

" Okay okay " and he started building the wall.

It was quite an eventful day.
