Chapter 185: I Against The World IV

...........

The sound of flesh being snatched away from him made Jack freeze for a split second before he decided. No, he had to transform into his beast form... Too late.

[Irrational Survivor: 46%]

He was too late for as Yovan bit his throat, he spewed golden flames at the same time, destructive golden flames that Jack's Haki simply couldn't stop.

That was accompanied by Yovan's blade piercing through Jack's chest before slashing upwards, basically opening Jack's insides, and only then did Yovan's bite loosen.

He allowed himself to be sent flying as Kaido in his hybrid form appeared, hitting him with his spiked Kanabo for the third time since he bit onto Jack, yet Yovan clutched to Jack like glue.

The flames and the sword slash took less than a second to perform but that's more than enough for his monstrous enemies to act, just like Kaido did, bringing upon him his Kanabo to no avail.

Granted, Yovan used his wings to defend but that didn't do much against someone like Kaido, "AHHHHH!! I'm Gonna Kill YOUUU!!"

Kaido was mad for several reasons as Yovan not only treated him as air, ignoring his attacks while focusing on Jack who's Kaido's underling, but he also used Kaido's own attack that sent him flying to harvest more life.

Even as he was sent flying, his blade was still slashing, bringing along with him many heads while still releasing numerous slashes of concentrated Hasshoken and the wildest of golden flames.

And the moment Yovan was about to touch the broken ground, his wings flared, flying right back at Kaido just as the latter lunged towards him with his giant spiked Kanabo swinging at Yovan.

Kaido's murderous eyes met not with Yovan's eyes as they were closed, but with Yovan's chilling grin as the latter stretched his hand towards the Kanabo instead of meeting it with his blade, much to Kaido's dismay.

He grasped, he grasped the Kanabo, but its force was certainly transmitted to him, almost disintegrating his hand if not for his Ink-like Haki keeping it together.

[Irrational Survivor: 48%]

He allowed the Kanabo to guide him, using it as a swing to avoid facing Kaido head on as instead, he was swung to the latter's back, using all of that accumulated force to finally swing his blade.

Suddenly it thundered and before Yovan's slash can reach Kaido, the latter reacted fast enough to transform into his beast form, his gigantic dragonic form.

"Run!!!" Suddenly, a loud shout reverberated throughout the messy battlefield, and it was coming from none other than Katakuri whose expression spoke of horror, the horror of the future.

If The Red Line wasn't already broken enough, then now it was as Yovan laughed loudly, the dragonic Kaido not fazing him one bit as he spread his hands, each with a small concentrated golden sun around them.

And then he clapped his hands, resulting in the collusion of the two suns and the occurrence of something akin to a supernova, and if that wasn't enough, Yovan tried to delve into the dragon's mouth as he performed the move.

He tried to do something similar to what he did to Blackbeard. Unfortunately, Kaido was too cautious or perhaps scared that he kept his mouth tightly shut.

The Red Line was crumbling, or at least, this part of the Red Line was crumbling, an unexpected miracle, especially to those still on the ships close to the battlefield.

They could not see much of the war that was taking place. They only knew that their way of escape was cut off, and the brightly blinding never ending lights atop the Red Line, lights of thunder and fire.

However, now they could see the Red Line breaking down much to their dismay, and that was only the start as Yovan showed his ruthlessness or maybe his irrationality.

Whatever damage the supernova did mattered not for Yovan as he focused solely on something else, his blade Enyo, working simply by instinct to achieve something spectacular.

The golden flames that overwhelmed the entirety of the surroundings were sucked in as if a black hole emerged to devour all the flames.

The once bright golden sky instantly darkened as the flames vanished, all devoured by Enyo, specifically by its edge which has become like an inferno, desperately seeking release.

All the golden flames were solely focused on the edge of Yovan's blade, and as he appeared far above the battlefield, his wings fluttering with the hot melting winds, he slashed downwards... Pure destruction.

The slash released neither destructive Hasshoken nor flames, it released nothing in fact. It's just that wherever it passed, it simply annihilated everything in its path, miles ahead.

It was as if the slash released some invisible force capable of disintegrating everything in its way, the force even reaching the numerous Ships far away.

Then there was silence as Yovan made a mistake, or at least so they think. How could they not think so when he made himself so vulnerable amidst the slashes?

He made himself so vulnerable in fact that he suddenly found a sword going through his head, a hammer colliding with his head to the point it made him dizzy, and Kaido's spiked Kanabo firmly planted on his head.

Yovan's head is his weak point, their enemies know that, or most of them at least. Some of them faced him before, and they know that even taking out his heart is of little consequence to him.

However, Yovan would always protect his brain, making sure no damage even comes near, thus they naturally concluded that it was his weak point.

"I don't understand what happened to you, but you were so much more scarier when you were ration..." The speaker was the one who pierced him in the head with a saber, none other than Shanks, one of the four Emperors... He had finally acted.

His speech was interrupted as he saw something happen that he didn't see coming... Yovan was still alive as his hands moved like a blur to grasp Shanks' saber and Kaido's Kanabo, all the while his wings were acting like a shield against the frosty hammer flying about.

"That..." Shanks felt danger, so much danger as he instantly let go of his saber and vanished, albeit a bit too late.

Shanks' speed was astronomical which is why he was able to barely evade the attack, leaving him with three large scratches on his face, the second he's gotten... It was fate.

What was even more interesting was that the scratches both were done by the same person, Blackbeard, a very different Blackbeard who has an air of darkness or death around him, a dead Blackbeard.

Yovan really didn't need to do anything else himself as Kaido retreated on his own in fear.

The beast himself felt fear. The one that the Marines were struggling to kill or even harm at all was now struggling with killing someone.

Yovan slid Shanks' saber right out of his head, causing a mix of ink and blood to spill out, yet he still lived, and the three of Shanks, Kaido, and the owner of the hammer would rather believe that his brain is still his weak point but they missed it.

[Irrational Survivor: 62%]

That seemed more plausible than Yovan being literally unkillable, and they have another reason to believe so, their observation Haki wasn't working correctly.

All three of them are monsters whose mastery over Haki reached such a ridiculous degree that they can see into the future with an Observation technique called Future Vision.

Well, they still could. It was just weird that the future they see is different than what actually happens, and Shanks was even more confused for only he knows that Yovan shouldn't be able to use Future Vision at all as only when two of its users collide can the future be hard to perceive.

There is an advanced technique only those capable of Conqueror's Haki can use, and it's named Observation Killing.

It allows for the control of one's own aura or presence, negating an opponent's ability to see into the future with Kenbunshoku Haki, and Shanks has been using it against Yovan so far.

He knows how it works so he's certain he isn't under its effect because Shanks can still see the future... It's just that the future is distorted... Did Yovan create an even more ridiculous Haki technique that can distort the future they see?
