Chapter 76: Sleeping Outside...

At this moment Robin couldn't hold her inner thoughts anymore. "NISHISHISHI!"

Robin's laugh echoed slightly in the ears of Garp and Kai. Garp was shocked at this new revelation.

"I thought you were mad at the brat?!" He exclaimed.

Robin and Kai looked each other in the eyes before turning back to face Garp with a smile on their faces. "Wahaha!/ Nishishishi!"

The two's laughter synchronized as it had done many times in the past. They stood beside each other and had their laughter end at the exact same moment. They both paused for a quick moment only to deliver the exact same next line.

""Why would I/she be mad?"" They asked in a confused manner as they tiled their heads in the opposite directions of one another at the exact same time.

Garp was stunned speechless. 'How did they do that? They are perfectly in sync!' He thought as he watched the duo.

To Garp's credit, the two really were perfectly in sync, almost to a scary degree. They were like the same person sometimes as they often never even needed to speak out loud to understand one another. It was truly as if they were meant to be, perfect for one another, a match made in heaven, had their souls connected.

Garp, who was witnessing this for the first time, couldn't let go of his surprise. "Didn't you just get mad at Kai? What's going on?"

At this point the two already knew exactly what to say as they continued to speak alongside one another.

""What do you mean? When did I/she get mad? Are you doing okay, old man?"" They asked with genuine concern in their voices, as they truly held fear of Garp's well being in their hearts.

At this point Garp started looking around strangely, questioning whether or not he actually was alright. Maybe he really was just seeing things? He had no clue at this point.

"Nevermind, I must have misheard you." Garp said to Robin as he finally resigned himself to the idea that he must have been hallucinating.

""Wahahaha!/ Nishishishi!" The two laughed at the results of their performance.

The two finally broke away from their synchronization as Kai said. "Wahahaha! I can't believe you really fell for that gramps! You really are getting old!"

Garp heard this and had shock written all over his face as he stood still in disbelief. He was like a statue, but only until he realized he had been duped by Kai.

The moment he realized what happened he screamed out. "What the fuck is wrong with you, brat?! You nearly gave me a heart attack! For a moment I thought I really was getting old!"

Kai laughed. "Wahahaha! You ARE getting old! I really can't believe you actually fell for it!"

Garp was about to remind Kai the meaning of the fists of love when the latter spoke again. "Gramps, meet my girlfriend, Robin. And Robin, this is my grandpa, Garp."

Garp suppressed his anger when he heard Kai. He cleared his throat and looked at Robin with narrow eyes, as if judging her. Robin got nervous when she saw this and fear started to creep into the corners of her heart. She didn't want to be rejected by Kai's family.

Garp's intense glare continued for a long time, absolutely terrifying Robin.

Finally after a few minutes of silence, Garp spoke. "I think I've seen you somewhere before. Where would I have heard of you?"

Kai smirked slightly when he heard this. He could see the tension in Robin's face and honestly, he himself had been nervous as he didn't know what Garp was going to say.

Robin heard this and her eyebrow twitched lightly. When Kai saw this his smirk only grew. He also became curious as to what Robin was gonna do. Robin's face however, immediately returned to one of fear, replacing the anger that was only apparent for a split second.

As annoyed and angry as Robin was at Garp for making her wait a few minutes only to ask her that question. Robin was actually much more terrified of having to answer about who she was. After all, she was currently talking to the marine hero, as a woman wanted by the world government. She wanted to get Garp's approval of her and Kai's relationship, which would be one between a marine and a wanted criminal.

After a few seconds of eerie silence Robin answered Garp. "You have probably seen me on a wanted poster."

Robin tried to answer as vaguely as possible in order to hopefully avoid any unwanted situations. She hoped that Garp just wouldn't realize who she was or ask anymore questions.

However, to Robin's dismay, Garp responded. "Ohhhh! That's why! You're that devil child girl!"

Garp showed realization on his face as he quickly discovered who Robin was.

When Robin heard Garp's voice she froze up in fear and started looking around nervously. Her eyes darted from Kai to Garp and showcased a deep rooted fear in her heart of being rejected by Garp, and possibly losing her chance with the man she just confessed her love to.

Kai saw her nervous glances at him and wrapped an arm around her shoulder to comfort her, even if it was only slightly. In truth, Kai wasn't nervous at all. Even if Garp rejected the idea of him and Robin dating Kai wouldn't listen to him. Kai had made up his mind to make Robin his one and only, and no one was going to change his mind.

Robin felt a firm hand grasp her shoulder and visibly relaxed a little as she leaned in towards Kai in hopes of finding even the slightest bit more comfort from the scary situation she was currently facing off against.

"Bwahahahaha! I see, I see." Garp laughed while thinking about the unusual pair.

Robin's body slightly jerked up at this reaction, her body practically radiating hope. She quickly gathered her courage that came along with this newfound feeling of hope.

"You don't mind?" Robin asked Garp, only for her words to come out nervous and shaky.

"Bwahaha! Why would I?" Garp expressed his approval of Kai and Robin's relationship.

Kai slightly smiled and whispered into Robin's ear. "Did you forget that his son is the most dangerous criminal in the world? And that three of his four 'grandsons' are either big name pirates or in the revolutionary army?"

Robin's body stiffened as her cheeks flushed red in embarrassment.

Then after a moment Robin let out a deep sigh of relief. Her body relaxed and a huge smile befell her face. Only for that very smile to turn evil after a moment as she turned to face Kai.

"You knew what he was gonna say the whole time?" Robin asked in a voice that didn't match the smile apparent on her face.

Kai felt his spine tingle as he sweat nervously. "W-well no. I didn't know exactly what he would say, I-i only guessed a bit. Ahaha."

Kai rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he looked down at Robin. It almost seemed as if Robin currently had a brand new aura around her, and this aura spelt doom for Kai…

Robin slowly reached into Kai's pocket and pulled out his box of cigarettes. Her fake smile still persisted on her face as she looked Kai in the eyes.

"You're sleeping outside tonight." Robin said before dropping the pack of cigarettes on the ground. "And I assume you won't be needing any of THESE, will you?" Robin asked while she stomped down on the pack of cigarettes before she finished speaking, or giving Kai the chance to answer her question.

Kai's eyes widened and he almost fell to the ground in despair. He quickly had an idea and made a desperate attempt to fix the situation.

Kai once again put on his best puppy dog eyes as he pleaded. "I'm sorry, I was wrong, anything but sleeping outside, please have mercy, Robin."

Kai's pleas fell on deaf ears as Robin replied playfully. "Fufufufufu. No. Still not cute enough."

Kai felt the world around him shatter as he fell to despair. He then slowly turned his head to Garp with a vicious look in his eyes.

"It's all your fault gramps! I'm gonna kill you!" Kai yelled as he charged at Garp once again.

As Robin watched this she made a connection causing her to laugh. "Nishishishi! Just like Sanji."

She thought back to all the times Sanji started fighting Zoro for no reason because Nami got mad at him. She smiled to herself at the thought, those two were brothers after all.

As Kai was on his way towards Garp with a fire burning in his eyes Garp was laughing. "Bwahahahaha! You really are just like the red haired brat!!"
