"That annoying old man, doing whatever he wants." Imai mumbled under her breath as she made her way to The Thousand Sunny.
When Imai was close enough, she could hear shots being fired, and screams of navy soldiers.
"There's another pirate! Capture her!" a navy soldier said while pointing a blade at her. "Go!"
With the call of the navy soldier, two other navy soldiers started charging towards her, and one prepared the gun.
"Die."
Imai furrowed her eyebrows. "How annoying. Die, you weaklings."
In a blink of an eye, Imai was gone from their sights. The three navy soldiers looked around in confusion trying to spot where she went.
"Where did she go?"
"She was just here wasn't she?"
"She's-AGH!"
The two navy soldiers looked turned towards the scream and were horrified. Their friend had half of his body cut vertically. The two were about to run, but their vision turned black before they could.
"Even in the afterlife, may you never think you can defeat me." Imai said as she sheathed her blade.
Soon enough, Imai could see The Thousand Sunny, and standing at the rear was Nico Robin waving at her.
"Quick!" Nico Robin said. "We're about to leave."
"Don't rush me." Imai mumbled under her breath before jumping onto the ship from a distance.
"I'm surprised you can jump that far."
"With the usage of Haki, almost anything is possible."
"Spread the sails and let's go!" Luffy exclaimed cheerfully. "Hahaha!"
With that being said, they submerged into the sea while being covered by a large bubble.
"Let's go meet the others, I'm sure they're waiting for your arrival." Nico Robin said.
"Sure, they wouldn't have wanted to meet me if they knew I was someone so powerful I was named the Fifth Yonko, and worth two point four billion berries."
"Oh, they know."
"As expected- wait, huh?"
"Oh? Is that her Nico?" Nami called from below.
Nico Robin nodded in reply.
Imai faced the Straw Hat Crew. Luffy was looking at her with a smile along with Franky. Brook and Sanji were staring at her in awe. Chopper was hiding behind Nami along with Usopp while Zoro had a straight face.
"Yahoo! We have another member on the ship! A very strong one at that!" Luffy cheered as he danced around.
"Oi, Luffy! It's not that simple, this girl is someone that can potentially kill us at any given moment!" Nami said.
"I agree." Zoro said with his hand on the hilt of his blade. "I don't trust her."
Imai glanced from one crew member to another, her eyes not blinking once as she made eye contact with each member.
"Well, I don't expect you all to get along with me anyway. I was sent here to chaperone you guys by Rayleigh."
"Huh?! Chaperone us?!" Nami questioned. "We're not kids!"
"Now, now, I think it's better if we don't bear any hostility towards each other. We have something else to worry about." Nico interfered.
"You heard her. Navigate the ship and let's not get lost in this sea." Imai said as she made her way down the stairs.
Despite being wary of Imai, they had other priorities. Nami opened the notes Rayleigh gave her and gave a quick yet simple explanation about how everything worked.
"In other words, the quality of the bubble is the same as the one we just saw at Sabaody." Nico said.
"How are you analyzing the bubble in such a calm manner?!" Usopp questioned.
"Yep, Robin's correct. They're the same in all aspects. But be careful though, there's a limit for how much pressure it could take." Nami said.
"Man, with my Gatling, I can catch a whole batch of fish." Luffy said as he stared at the hundreds of fish swimming.
"Then let's have a competition on who can catch more fish." Zoro added.
*BAM*
The two were on the ground with a bump on their head.
"Idiots! Did you not hear what she just said?!"
Imai sighed and shook her head. Staying with them any longer was going to make Imai lose her sanity. So quietly, she jumped onto the roof of one of the small buildings, and sat. The underwater view was majestic, it gave off a thrilling, and eerie feeling.
Imai blinked for what felt like forever to her, the underwater view really captured her attention. After all, she was secluded in a cave for the past two years alone.
"Are you not worried?" a voice asked from beside Imai.
Imai turned her head to see who it was and to her surprise, it was Nico.
Imai gazed at the sea once again. "Not really, if something happens, I can always swim back up."
"Swim back up? I don't think the pressure here would allow you to do that." Nico said.
"Don't underestimate me, Nico."
Nico chuckled. "True, you were named the Fifth Yonko before. I guess your abilities are beyond my imagination."
"Again with that name." Imai cringed. "My abilities might be on par with the people that have the strongest political power. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure the government knows I've returned."
"Three years ago, huh. I remember reading a newspaper about you."
Imai looked at Nico in confusion before realizing.
"Ah, I forgot. You've been around longer than I have."
"Are you calling me old?"
"I wouldn't mind someone older than me."
"..."
Imai coughed after realizing what she just said. She was convinced something was wrong with her after she got onto the crew ship.
"What of the article?" Imai asked, wanting to change the article immediately.
However, Nico was dazed. Her mind had millions of thoughts appearing and disappearing. Feeling strange, she realized she had never fallen in love, or experienced any type of romance before. Before she could think any further, she was snapped out of her thoughts.
"Nico?" Imai asked while waving her hand in front of Nico's face. "Are you there?"
"Sorry, I spaced out for a second there." Nico replied. With her unreadable smile, no one would think she was thinking about love.
"Okay, I was asking what you see in the article?" Imai asked.
"Ah, I remember you wiping out an entire-" Before Nico could finish her sentence, she was interrupted by Usopp. "Alert! There's a ship coming towards us!"
"Finally, some fun."
