Alabasta I

Viper sighed and said "Chopper did Kureha even teach you about male and female interactions?" Chopper nodded and said "It's mating." Viper nodded and said "Exactly, if I think of Nami as family, then what would that mean." Chopper said "Incest." Viper said "Exactly, so I am not trying to mate with her, I just find her cute, like a little sister." Chopper said "You don't act like that." Viper sighed and said "I know, I will make that clear next time, anyway let's work on your Rumble balls, show me the process. Maybe we can improve the time it can last." Chopper and Viper walked into the lab.

Chopper showed Viper the process and said "It was only an accident that it worked, it causes distortions of the devil fruits wavelengths and therefore giving new transformations." Viper frowned and said "You just ate it, even though you had no idea what it did? Not very scientific of you Chopper." Chopper scratched the back of his head and said "Heheh what can I say?" Viper rubbed his temples and said "So you put all these together and add this?" Viper started grabbing chemicals and powders and mixed them in test tubes, before heating them up and cooling them.

Chopper saw the finished Rumble ball and said "Basically, but how did you do that?" Viper said "You told me how to do it, and the requirements to the milligram it was pretty simple." Chopper had his mouth wide open and said "You didn't use a scale! How do you know how much you put of each?!" Viper gave Chopper a smug grin and said "I just can, it's an art!" before getting serious and saying "But if you add a bit more of this, and counter balancing it with this one..." he started making a new rumble ball with his own specifications and out popped a yellow rumble ball with blue lines on it. Viper said "It SHOULD give you more time, maybe up to 2-3 minutes more." Chopper was hesitant to try it and Viper said "I gurantee, if your notes are correct, then it will only have time benefits." Chopper grabbed the new rumble ball and they walked out on to the deck.

Nami saw Viper and Chopper again and said "Hey! How you doing?" Viper took a deep breath and said "I'm sorry if I was out of line, I think of everyone on the crew as family." Nami giggled and said "And you got a crush on your sister?" Viper said embarrassingly "It's not my fault you're a vixen..." Nami smiled and said "So now I can't tease you anymore!" Viper smirked and said "You can, you just wouldn't get a reaction, I'm not the love cook after all hehehe" Nami stuck out her tongue and said "What are you guys doing out here anyway?" Viper pointed to Chopper and said "I created a test rumble ball, that SHOULD increase it's time limit for the transformations, Chopper is testing it out because I don't want to break the ship." Nami said "Thank god for that, oh by the way, look at this! Nimbus!" a white cloud came out of the staff and Nami sat on top of if and hovered off the ground, Viper said "You can do that?" he poked the cloud and his finger bounced back, he said "Cool! You're the new taxi!" Nami frowned and said "That's your job!" Viper almost cried and said "I'm supposed to be the scientist!" Nami just giggled.

Chopper said "I'm going to start!" Viper pulled out a stop watch and Chopper bit down. Viper started the timer and said "How do you feel?" Chopper said "Not very different, maybe a little more energized?" Viper nodded "Tell me if you feel any different, ahh it's so much better having living subjects!" Nami slowly backed away when he said that and Chopper gave him a look. Viper frowned and said "What? It's true, they can tell you what they're feeling, unfortunately we didn't have any captives for the devil fruit experiments" he sighed and Nami disappeared.

Chopper was shifting through different transformations, before he reverted back to his little reindeer form, Viper stopped the timer and said "5 minutes and 24 seconds, that's quite the improvement," he frowned and said "But it would be better for longer... By the way Chopper have you ever tried with other devil fruits other than Zoan?" Chopper shook his head and said "I didn't have any other subjects" Viper said "Maybe we should try it on Luffy..." Chopper said "It could kill him!" Viper sighed and said "I really wish we had more test subjects..." before sulking back to the lab mumbling about capturing a paramecia user later, making Chopper shiver and following him.

A few days later

Chopper and Viper were still in the lab and Viper said "Rumble ball V.4 number 126 finished, I really hope this one works." Chopper was lying down on the floor and said "We need to reach land, I can't take anymore self-experiments.." Viper dragged him by his horns, there was a yellow ball with blue and red stripes on it in his other hand, he said "Come now, Chopper this is the last one I promise!" Chopper mumbled "You said that 45 rumble balls ago..." Viper said "This time's the truth!" and they went towards the deck.

Viper dragged Chopper on the deck just in time to see Luffy getting slapped by an Okama, he said "Who is this?" the okama said "I'm Bon clay! Nice to meet you!" and his face turned into Luffy's face, Viper's eyes widened and he licked his lips and said "You have a paramecia devil fruit?!" Bon clay was scared by Viper's look and said "Y-Yeah!" the crew of the crew backed away, and Viper flashed in front of Bon clay and grabbed him and started laughing like a mental case, Zoro said "I didn't think you were into guys rainbow hair" Viper snapped "I'M NOT! BUT NOW I HAVE A LIVING TEST SUBJECT HAHAHAHA" he dragged Bon clay and tied him up to the mast and said "Be a good little test subject and I'll let you go, okay?" while giving a 'kind' smile.

Bon clay didn't find it kind at all and was scared, he gulped and said "What are you going to do to me?!" Viper had a wicked grin on his face and held up the rumble ball, as he said "Just going to give you a little candy, don't worry about it, it's COMPLETELY safe!!" the crew were scared of the 'Mad Scientist' Viper, Chopper said "No! It hasn't been tested yet!" Viper had his goggles over his eyes and his lab coat on and he laughed wildly and opened Bon clay's mouth and threw the new rumble ball in "Now bite down and tell me how you feel." Bon clay bit down and swallowed the rumble ball, he blinked and said "It was quite tasty, I feel really good! You know for a moment there I was pretty scared!" Viper had his 'kind' smile on and said "Can you try and use your devil fruit powers, please?" Bon clay nodded and started shifting through faces at rapid speeds, Viper said "Anything feel different?" Bon clay frowned and said "Not really... Oh!" his body started going out of control and mismatching with random faces, he stopped on his face and a woman's body, he looked down and started crying "Thank you! You've given me what I've always wanted!" Viper frowned and said "Can you control that? Or did it just happen by itself?" Bon clay said "It just happened by it self was it not supposed to do that?" Viper sighed and put his goggles back on top of his head and wrote down in his book as he shook his head and said "Experiment failure, makes paramecia user of the..." Bon clay said "Clone-Clone fruit." Viper continued "Clone-Clone fruit, lose control of faces and body. Unknown if the effect wears off." he closed his book and mumbled about catching another one before he dragged Chopper back to the lab, Chopper screamed "HELP ME! HE'S LOST IT!" the crew turned their heads and whistled, obviously not wanting to get into the scientists crosshairs, Chopper cried "YOU BASTARDS! HE'LL COME AFTER YOU ONE DAY!" before Chopper disappeared into the rooms.

Bon clay was confused and said "Is he always like that?" the crew shook their heads and untied him.

Back in the lab

Viper was making another rumble ball and complaining "Chopper, I'm not going to hurt you, why are you standing all the way over there I need your help too you know." Chopper said "But you're gonna make me eat it again, I've had so many!" Viper said "When we get on land, we'll switch but we need to make extra because we won't have a lab." Chopper said "Promise?" Viper nodded and said "I promise." Chopper came back and they started making rumble balls with Viper.

A while later

Ussop came down and knocked on the door to the lab and said "Were here!" Viper walked out of the lab with his goggles and lab coat on and Chopper in the same outfit sitting on his head, Viper had a sack in his hands and he said "Yeah?" Ussop backed away and said "Viper?" Chopper looked down at Ussop and crossed his arms and said "Hm?" Ussop started sweating and ran away. Chopper and Viper both laughed and followed after him.

Viper reached the deck and Ussop said "They've gone mad scientist mode!" Viper and Chopper started laughing and Ussop blinked and said "You were scaring me!" Viper said "Alright i'm sorry, where's Luffy?" Zoro said "He already ran off, the love cook went to buy food and clothes, oh yeah by the way both of you come here." Viper and Chopper walked over to Zoro and he said "Give me your arms" they both stuck out their arms and Zoro drew an X in marker on their arms and wrapped it in cloth, Viper and Chopper were confused and Zoro said "That clone guy was Mr.2 and he got all of our faces, except the love-cook, I don't know if he got your's either but it's just a precaution." Viper nodded and said "That's pretty smart, who came up with it?" Zoro got a tick mark on his forehead and said "Me." Viper looked at Chopper and then at Zoro before laughing and said "That was a good one!!" Zoro snapped and lunged at Viper, starting a dustbrawl.

Viper got up with several bumps on his head and said "Alright, you came up with it, anyway me and Chopper are going to test rumble balls on land." before hopping off the boat with Chopper. The duo landed and walked a bit away from the Merry, Viper popped a rumble ball and said "Start!" as he bit down. Chopper started the timer and sat down. Viper transformed into his sharp point and said "Maybe..." Viper slithered before biting his tail and rolling around, using his spikes as grip, he went faster and faster until he smashed into a forest and stopped, he looked around and saw that nearly half the forest was destroyed, he said "Wow, that has a lot of destructive power." he transformed into his dragon form and walked back to the Merry and said "Did you see that? Half the forest was gone." Chopper nodded and said "That was cool!" Viper chuckled and laid down, waiting for the timer to expire.

Viper and Chopper kept doing testing and quickly got to the third rumble ball, Chopper said "This is going to be very dangerous and shouldn't be used ever, the only way to get out of this transformation is the ocean." Viper nodded and said to the crew "If I go beserk, just throw me in the water!" Zoro nodded and Viper bit down on the ball.

Viper's eyes turned red as he grew, he reached 40 meters and he grew huge feathers on his head, his body was more sleek but still feathered and his tail feathers were longer and more fanned out, he didn't get any limbs. Viper let out a loud hiss and snapped his fangs at Zoro as an extremely fast speed, Zoro's eyes widened and he pulled out two katana, blocking Viper's fangs. Luffy showed up, with another man in an orange hat, Luffy said "Woah! Viper's huge!" Zoro screamed "A little help here!" Viper turned his head towards Luffy and hissed at him before, sending Zoro flying with his tail and lunging at Luffy and the other man, Luffy jumped out of the way with the man.

The man said "Luffy, who is this?" Luffy said "That's my Snake-Dragon scientist! I told you, my crew was awesome Ace! Shishishishi!" Ace sighed and said "What's wrong with him?" Luffy said "I don't know." Chopper yelled "Throw him into the water! Soon or he's gonna die!" Luffy frowned and said "Wanna help me Ace?" Ace grinned and said "Beat up one of your crew? Sure!" Luffy chuckled and said "Saving one of my crew." before he shot his arms back and slammed them into Viper's head, Ace went towards Viper's tail and grabbed it, Viper tried to shake him off but it was like an iron grip. Luffy wrapped his arms around Viper's mouth, keeping it shut, Viper writhed and turned his head around to ram into Ace, but he went right through him and smashed into a tree. Ace chuckled and dragged Viper to the ocean and threw him in, Luffy let go and Viper smashed into the water and reverted back to his human form and started sinking.

Zoro jumped into the water and dragged Viper back to land, Chopper performed CPR, minus the mouth to mouth and Viper coughed up water and opened his eyes. He sat up and said "How did I do? Any form of consciousness?" Chopper shook his head and said "You grew to 40 meters and your feathers grew on your head and tail, your body feathers were more sleek, and you were completely feral." Viper nodded and turned to Zoro and grinned "How was it?" Zoro frowned and said "Dangerous." Viper was confused and Zoro said "I didn't do it, it was them." he pointed to Ace and Luffy, Viper said "OH you're upset you didn't throw me in yourself ahahah" Zoro mumbled "Damn rainbow haired bastard" and walked away.

Viper turned to Luffy and Ace and said "Uh, Thanks, I'm Viper." he stretched out his hand and chuckled a bit, Ace smiled and shook his hand and said "Ace, Luffy's brother. Was that a mythical Zoan?" Viper nodded and said "Yeah, why? Do you know someone else who has one?" Ace nodded and said "Yeah, the 1st division commander of the Whitebeard pirates, his name is Marco." Viper said "You're a member of Whitebeards crew?!" Ace smirked and said "You're looking at the 2nd division commander on Whitebeards ship!" Viper was shocked and said "Wow! I thought you were going to join our crew as Luffy's brother! We could use you, do you want to try one of these rumble balls?" Viper smiled and took out a rumble ball, Chopper knocked him out and said "Sorry about that, he gets a bit crazy sometimes." Ace laughed and said "Don't worry about it, I expected nothing less from my brother's crew, also what is that?" Chopper said "It's a drug I created to give Zoans 7 transformations instead of 3, me and Viper have both used it. Viper has tested it on a paramecia before but never a logia, so you were about to become a test subject heheh" Chopper chuckled nervously, Ace blinked and said "That giant snake was one of them?" Chopper said "Technically, that only happens if you eat three rumble balls in a 6 hour time frame." Luffy said "He can turn into a rainbow dragon when he doesn't eat three!!" Ace looked at the rumble ball and said "Can I have one?" Chopper said "It might have side effects if you eat one. It's supposed to be for Zoans, but if you want." Chopper gave Ace one and said "Are you gonna eat it?" Ace hesitated and said "It won't kill me or anything right?" Chopper said "According to Viper, there's a 0.01% of death but he says that about everything, so you'll probably be fine." Ace threw the rumble ball in his mouth and bit down.

Ace frowned and said "I don't feel any differe-" all of a sudden he held his stomach and ran off into the forest. A while later, he came back and the rest of the forest was burning, he said "That was the worst thing in my life!" Chopper said "Did you just get diarrhea?" Ace nodded and said "It felt horrible, but I feel a lot better now though, like I just had a cleanse." Chopper sighed and they group went to the ship.

Ace met the rest of the crew and Chopper laid Viper down on the deck, in a chair. Ace introduced himself and showcased his powers by burning a bunch of Baroque Works ships, he came back and Sanji made food for everyone, while the Merry sailed to another part of the island, Viper woke up and started eating as well. Ace gave Luffy a vivre card when they landed and said "Here's my vivre card, you'll be able to find me anywhere I am with it, keep it safe." before he jumped on his boat and said goodbye, as he shot off and disappeared.

The crew started their journey to Yuba, where Vivi said the rebel army was, Viper was carrying everyone in his sharp form as Ussop timed him, because Chopper fainted from the heat. The group stopped at night and fought some giant sand dragon monsters and continued on the next day.

After what felt like years, the group finally arrived in Yuba to find only an old man. The old man said "Who are you?" Vivi said "We're looking for the rebel army, do you know where they are?" the old man frowned and said "The rebel army moved to Katorea, why do you want to join the rebel army anyways?" Vivi said "What?! They're in Katorea?!" Luffy said "Where's that?" Vivi said "It's next to Nanohara, where we just were." Viper sighed and said "Great. Can't wait." Nami said "Really Vivi? How did you not find that out?" the old man said "Vivi?! Princess Vivi? It's me Toto!" Vivi said "Toto?! What happened to you?" Toto sighed and explained how sandstorms hit this city all the time and that he was the only one who believed in the king and that he's been digging for water. Toto said "You can stay in the houses for tonight and continue your journey tomorrow." the group nodded and went inside the house and slept.

The next day

Luffy and the rest left Yuba and started walking back to Nanohara, all of a sudden Luffy stopped and sat down. Vivi said "What are you doing Luffy?" Luffy said "I give up." Viper collapsed and said "Finally" before lying down on his back. Vivi snapped "What do you mean? We need to go see the rebel army!" Luffy said "No, I just want to kick Crocodile's ass." Vivi said "If we don't stop the rebels, people will die!" Luffy said "People die." Vivi slapped him and said "How could you say that?! What did these people do to deserve this! It's all Crocodile's fault!" Luffy punched her in the face and said "So why are you only putting your life on the line?!" Vivi tackled him to the ground and said "What else can I put on the line!" as she slapped and punched him with both hands. Luffy grabbed her hands and said "You can put all of our lives on the line too! We're friends aren't we?!" Vivi teared up and said "Then let's go to Rainbase!" Viper got up and said "Finally!" and transformed before carrying everyone and speeding over to Rainbase.

The group arrived in Rainbase, Viper reverted to his human form and Luffy and Ussop took off to the nearest bar, the rest of the crew just sighed and said "Where's Crocodile?" Vivi pointed to the huge casino with a banana on it. Viper started walking to the casino and said "I'm going gambling!" Nami said "Take me with you!!" and chased after him, leaving the rest of the crew to disperse.

Viper and Nami were sitting at a Blackjack table, Viper said "Hit me" and the dealer put down another card, revealing a 21, Viper smiled and said "Hahah 34 million!" Nami said "We're sharing remember?" Viper froze and said "Damn vixen" before he put 6 million down, the dealer handed out the cards, and Viper watched her do it and said "Hit me" the dealer hit him and Viper's cards showed 19, Viper smiled at the dealer and said "Hit me" the dealer was hesitant and Nami said "You already have 19! You're gonna go over!" Viper smiled and said "Hit. Me." the dealer sighed and gave him another card, the card was a 2, making Viper's hand a 21. The dealer, Nami, and the rest of the crowd were shocked, Viper raked in another 12 million and said "Thank you very much." he winked at the dealer and said "You're my lucky charm." the dealer flipped her cards showing a 20 and Nami gave Viper an hungry look and said "How did you do that?" Viper said "Luck of the draw, and could you stop looking at me like that?" a hand patted the dealer's shoulder and the dealer walked away. Viper looked up and saw Robin, she started shuffling the cards and Viper said "Oh Rose! How are you today?" Robin smiled and said "Good, but not as good as you, Viper." Viper smiled and said "I guess you could call it a hot streak." Robin said "Maybe." as she winked at him, Viper's smile grew wider, and she dealt out the cards.

A while later, Viper was holding 120 million and a fainted Nami, and following Robin to the cash-out counter, he said "So Robin, now that we're alone, I hope you don't mind me asking why you didn't tell Crocodile about me." Robin said "How do you know I didn't?" Viper rolled his eyes and said "I'm not a child believe it or not, i've been here for a while now and Crocodile hasn't come to see me once. I doubt he knows I'm part of the crew who's trying to stop him." Robin said "It's nice to talk to smart people, obviously he doesn't know, and I didn't tell him because I don't care if his plans fall through as long as I accomplish my goal, it doesn't matter what happens to him." Viper nodded and said "Quite heartless of you, honestly wasn't expecting that." Robin said "Oh?" Viper handed in his chips and got his money, the duo walked away from the counter and turned into a corridor.

Viper said "I can tell, you're not a heartless woman, so either you never trusted him or you used me and i'm inclined to believe the former is the case." Robin smiled and said "Is that so? What if I am just using you?" Viper shrugged and said "Then I must be an idiot, and you should be one too." Robin frowned and said "Me?" Viper smiled and nodded "Yes, because you would've captured me on the ship in whiskey peak, and brought me back to continue my research, in a cell, with cuffs, against my will, instead of encouraging me to stop because of the repercussions. Let's say you're the sneakiest woman on the planet and you thought 10 steps ahead, and only gave me the impression that you were against Crocodile at Whiskey peak so that I would come to Alabasta, saving you the effort of capturing me, you would've been more adamant about foregoing the trip to Little Garden, knowing that the eternal pose would take a year to reset and 99% of the people who go there don't survive. What do you think of my analysis, spot on?" Robin said "I'm quite impressed, Viper. What if I also knew you would defeat Mr.3 on Little Garden gaining the eternal pose meant for him?" Viper said "You wouldn't, because you didn't know what our crew was capable of, and okay let's say you did, then how come we've been talking this whole time?" Robin smiled and said "Maybe i'm stalling." Viper chuckled and said "Stalling? For a Warlord? You grow body parts, not manipulate and become sand. Even if you were why would you take me? I'm obviously not the strongest member of the crew. I'll go so far to say that you don't even know my abilities, unless Mr.3 made it back with information on me before he was killed." Robin sighed and said "You win, I can't continue" Viper smiled and said "It was my pleasure, hopefully we can do it again sometime, speaking of which.."

Viper turned his head and saw Luffy and the rest, minus Vivi, Sanji, and Chopper running his way, Viper said "Hey Luffy, where's Sanji, Vivi, and Chopper?" Luffy said "I don't know but we gotta run! Smokey's after us!" Viper said "The guy from Loguetown?" Luffy nodded and they all started running, Viper turned and saw Robin disappeared he forgot about it and ran. The group came to a split and read a sign that said 'Pirates this way >' Luffy immediately turned where the sign pointed and fell into a trapdoor, along with the rest of the crew and Smoker.

Viper landed in a cell and started laughing, Zoro said "What's so funny?" Viper said "Luffy saw a sign that said 'Pirates this way' and immediately followed it! HAHAHA" Luffy said "Well we are pirates." Viper laughed even harder, and Smoker poked him with his jutte, causing him to drop Nami and the briefcase and go limp on the ground, Viper looked up and said "Oi, Smoker, can you like, not do that?" Smoker said "You're laughing is annoying." Viper said "I'll stop, now can you stop poking me with that thing?" Smoker took back the jutte and Viper hopped up and stared at the jutte, he said "Can I see that for a moment?" Smoker said "No." Viper frowned and said "Where am I going to go? We're in a cell." Smoker said "I'm not giving it to you! Scram!" Viper grumbled "Stingy smoke bastard..." before walking off and sitting next to Zoro.

Nami woke up and said "Why are we in a cage? And where's my money?" before noticing the briefcase next to her and grabbing on to it as if her life depended on it. Zoro said "Money?" as he looked to Viper, who waved him off and said "I can count cards, I won 120 million playing Blackjack." Zoro said "That's a lot of money, how much do YOU get?" Viper sighed and said "I should get 75% but now it's in her claws, I don't think i'm getting anything." Zoro just chuckled. A cough was heard and everyone looked outside the cell.

Crocodile was sitting in a chair, watching their interactions and said "You won 120 million? Good job." Viper sighed and said "I'm not getting any of it though..." Crocodile chuckled and said "Doesn't matter you won't need it." Viper was confused and Crocodile continued "My plan will continue and should be finished soon," Viper said "Are you gonna tell us what your plan is?" Crocodile nodded and said "We'll wait for our guest first." the door opened revealing Robin and Vivi, Robin brought Vivi to a chair and sat her down, Vivi glared at Crocodile and tried to kill him but it was literally impossible for her. Crocodile said "Alright, that was fun for a bit but now it's just annoying, can't you just sit down?" Vivi grit her teeth and continued her assault, Viper said "Please just tie her up already." Crocodile looked over and chuckled, before tying her up and sitting back down.

Crocodile said "Now let me tell you the plan." he went on to say his plans and what he gets from it, Viper said "You want to be king?" Crocodile said "Of course not, I want the-" Robin coughed and Viper also said "There's a marine here, just so you know. Also if you aren't after the throne why even go through all the effort? So wasteful." Crocodile raised an eyebrow and Nami sighed "He's going to do what he did with Kuro isn't he?" Viper said "You have a logia, if there aren't any seastone weapons, you're invincible, why not just take whatever you want by force? Your plan is like, take by force, but with extra steps." Crocodile said "It's more fun this way." Viper sighed and said "Forget it, you're hopeless." Nami said "You know Viper, I'm really glad you're not an enemy." everybody in sight nodded, Viper groaned and said "Am I really that bad?" everyone nodded, he just sighed.

A man came flying in and landed in front of Crocodile, he had huge bat wings and a necklace with three skulls on it. The man snapped his head to Viper, who hissed at him in his hybrid form, the man went into his hybrid form as well and they both smashed into the bars of the cell. Viper backed off and licked his lips, tasting the man's blood and he said "I really don't like you." the man said "feeling's mutual, your blood tastes pretty good though." Viper grinned at him and said "Likewise." and licked his lips clean before adding "tastes like prey" the man seethed and Crocodile said "Mr. 0.5! Why are you here!" Mr. 0.5 said without looking at Crocodile "Plans ready for action just waiting for you." Crocodile nodded and said "Let's go." the man nodded and finally broke eye contact and walked away, Viper grabbed the bars and said "I don't use code names, tell me your real one!" Mr. 0.5 said "Griffin." before he walked out and left, Crocodile was about to leave too when he got a call on his snail, he picked it up and said "Hello?" the voice said "Oh, I remember this voice." Crocodile said "Who is this?" the voice said "Welcome to shitty restaurant."
